“Used to go to Golden Crust since I did not know this place existed. Friend suggested it and I Will never eat Golden Crust again after coming to this restaurant. Food is delicious and the pricing is amazing. Best bang for the buck in Atlanta. Will come here once a week from now on!!!“
“The rice and peas are cooked to Perfection and the jerk sauce is nice and spicy. I came because I'm getting my car serviced next door and needed food. The sweet cool gave me plantains and cabbage for free. It's a small family business vibe inside. The staff are really Jamaicans so the food on point. Definitely the best rice and peas I've had on Atlanta. Definitely coming back“
“I love coming here. I order ahead online because this place is very popular. I only gave 4 stars because of the cabbage. It used to be amazing but now bell peppers are being added and it throws off the taste. Please remove bell peppersParking: Open parking lot due to the location of the restaurant so it’s never a problem.“
“I was on the hunt for some Jamaican food and typically I have to drive over to Decatur or Stone Mountain for some good spots. My usual place was too far out so I decided to pull up Yelp and find a closer spot. This place wasn't close from where I was but there were cars in the lot so I trusted it. I was very pleased with my oxtails and rice. She gave me more gravy on the rice and peas and I enjoyed the well seasoned cabbage. If I'm ever in the area, I'd definitely visit again.“
“Ate here yesterday for the first time and truly enjoyed the food!Oxtails were very good and the cabbage and rice was a winner too!I've also been searching for some desert that reminds me of when my grandmother was around andTHE POUND CAKE WAS AMAZING!!!“
“This is my go to for Caribbean food. I drive all the way from Decatur to Norcross for this food. They give you large portions so you get your money's worth. The jerk chicken is always on point. The jerk fried rice with oxtail gravy and island breeze chicken are my favorite.“
“I was not expecting much, but this place is delicious!!! Brown stew chicken is really the only Jamaican dish my mom would ever make so I stuck with a classic and it was sooooo good. My only regret was only getting a small plate and not ordering another side of plantains. This is my new favorite lunch spot in the area“
“I've ordered food here multiple times on Uber Eats and the escovitch fish is always delicious! The jerk chicken and pepper shrimp were good too. I don't think they have an actual location but I'll continue to patronize them via Uber Eats.“
“The food is decently priced. I feel like it’s more expensive than normal Jamaican spots because of inflation, but the food was so good. I got stew chicken with cabbage and plantain(2, I ate the other one before taking the pic) for the sides. They have other sides that you can pay extra for, but the cabbage was delicious. Would definitely go backVegetarian options: They had a veggie plate and I believe veggie patties as wellParking: Free parking in the lot“
“Great spot!! Oxtails and Jerk Chicken were both incredible. One of the best Jamaican spots in the city. Unfortunately they don't have Coco Bread nor Beef Patty but they've got pretty everything else and it's 10/10 would most def “
“It really is tough to find bad Caribbean food and I certainly didn't find it here. Hole in the wall in Stone Mountain. Just finished a couple of laps around the mountain and was starving. Stopped in for some to go food. The lady who greeted me was friendly but not much help. Asked for a chicken recommendation (brown stew, stewed, jerk, or curry) and she wouldn't even tell me which was most popular or which she preferred, so I just picked one at random and got the brown stew chicken. Loved it. Tons of flavor, slightly spicy, with delicious rice and peas and coleslaw. I got a small and note for you all-a small is plenty for a good meal. Would have preferred more chicken but I did get a small (there was still a lot of rice though). Regardless, I didn't leave a crumb. Doesn't look like much but worth a stop.“
“Some of the best jerk I’ve had in America, yes, the entire country. It’s hard to find authentic Jamaican jerk but this place does it. I’ve lived in NY and ATL, this spot gets it right 95% of the time. They sell out a lot but it’s worth the headache lol.“
“I was craving oxtails and my friend recommended this place to me. As soon as I walked in and smelled how delicious everything seemed, I knew it was going to be good!I ordered the oxtail dinner and got a huge portion. Everything was delicious and I highly recommend this spot!“
“I had the curry goat and I was not disappoint in it even thoughIt had quite a bit of fat on it. I just removed it. the cabbage didn't have much flavor but At least wasn't soggy. the peas n rice was adequate but the gravy was excellent ?“
“I was at Bruster's one day and they had the grill outside going. Had everyone at Bruster's damn near peeking around the corner to find out where that good smell was coming from. On a different day I actually stopped in and got a jerk chicken plate. The food was good but I expected it to be really good. It wasn't bad or anything at all it was decent. It just hurts my feelings I was expecting a dance party in my mouth and didn't get that“
“One of the first things I noticed in here was a hand written sign saying this is NOT a fast food place, and they take their time on each order to ensure quality. I ordered a j*** chicken and two oxtail dinners for the family. The wait was not any longer than a traditional sit down restaurant. And the wait was worth it. The chicken was wonderful, spicy, and cooked perfectly. It made me wish I had gotten more chicken. The oxtails were again wonderfully spiced, and tender. We live about an hour drive from here, however, we would gladly make the drive to eat here again.“
“The food was pretty good. My favorite was the Jerk Chicken Rasta Pasta seasoning was on point! We also tried the fresh juices, they were very refreshing and delicious?. Fruit Punch & Pineapple Ginger both flavors were bomb?If you’re ever in the area go check them out!“
“Saw somewhere that this place had the best beef Pattie in the Atlanta metro. I am African who enjoys Jamaican food and I personally don’t like the boxed frozen ones sold in the supermarkets. This place has the closest to juici patties in Jamaica and we would keep going back to get our patties from here. Love it.“
“I have "tried" the Jerk Chicken plate at LJC at least 15 times and am never disappointed. The portions are large, the flavor is authentic, and all at a very affordable price. Family owned and operated. Wear your pants with a flexible waist because you won't leave anything on your plate. Expect to be full and smiling when you leave.“
“I travel all over the city for work and I if I see a Jamaican restaurant around I always go in for the Jerk Chicken plate to see how it compares. This place is fantastic! The chicken was flavorful and juicy, the veggies were cooked to perfection, and the oxtail gravy on the rice was exceptional (I recommend adding this everytime). The meat pie was also fantastic! I had a guy in line tell me that if you don't see a Jamaican eating there then it's no good. 90% of the people that walked in while I was eating were Jamaican. The accent most definitely gave them away. There are also true Jamaicans serving the food. I will be down in this area from time to time for the next few weeks and I will be returning! Got to try Eat Right!“
“This place is always packed I recommend ordering on door dash as pick up and then you can skip the ordering line and go straight to pick up and show the girls your DoorDash order on your phone. 10x better this way. Amazing oxtail sandwich ???⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Thank you’ll for the hard work and dealing with hungry angry people all the time.“
“I found the perfect place to get amazing oxtails from for a great price frozen. The customer service is wonderful and they have plenty of things for you to choose from for an amazing Caribbean meal. If you live near the Loganville area this is definitely a place I recommend to get your Caribbean & more foods from. I have been to farmers markets and grocery stores and I truly can say nobody beats their price & portions when it comes to the frozen oxtails. The Caribbean store is located on the side of the Caribbean restaurant that's in the front so please don't get confused when pulling into the parking lot.“
“Great Jamaican food on a pretty comprehensive menu. Nothing fancy ambiance wise. Just a great neighborhood place near my niece’s apartment. Loved the jerk chicken (char and all!) ??The owner, from Jamaica, opened 7 months ago. Based on the comings and goings while we were there, it would appear he already has a pretty steady stream of customers. Check it out if you’re in the area!“
