“Small, friendly restaurant. My husband wanted to try it, so we did. Normally, I would not order catfish when eating out but how could you not in a place called the Canoochee Catfish ??We like our seafood fried, so that's how we ordered it. I had the catfish and clam straps. Hubby had that plus scallops. The prices are pretty reasonable. Meals come with 2 sides-we had a baked potato and coleslaw. Also comes with hushpuppies. All In All a pleasant experience. Servers were very nice and took good care of us. I think there are a lot of regulars since many were addressed by name. It was a busy Thursday eve there. They have limited hours, so check before you go! Enjoy!”

“First time visiting. I wasn't even sure what I wanted to eat. Decided on the pasta salad. It was delicious! I also ordered a BLT meal. It was simply ok but I would not order it again because the quality of the bacon was not good and it didn't taste good. Served with hand cut fries, they were completely brown in color but was good. If you're going to have a BLT on the menu, the bacon should be perfectly delicious, not cheap store brand quality. Friendly, fast service. I will definitely visit again.”

“The 5 Stars are for the employees who were very nice, polite and friendly. When I went to check out and the machine asked me if I wanted to leave a tip I asked the employees if they split the tips at the end of the day. Surprisingly they said No. The employee that works the most hours gets the tips. Well, the owner always works the most hours therefore when you tip, you’re actually tipping the owner for the good work and service the EMPLOYEES gave you. As a business owner myself I am appalled at this practice. Your employees can make or break you. If you’re business accepts tips the employee(s) that EARNED them should take them home. If I could give the owner a 0 I would. The reasoning that the employee who works the most hours gets the tips doesn’t make any sense in the first place. But for an OWNER to do this to their employees is completely unacceptable. Especially considering the owner makes the schedule and the employees are all part time so the owner doesn’t have to pay the additional required taxes, unemployment, etc., he’s already making money off of them. My suggestion, if you visit the establishment and choose to leave a tip… hand it to the employee. Don’t leave it on the credit card machine. #tipsforemployees”

The menu has something for almost every taste and budget and the food is made to order and perfectly seasoned. The layout makes it a perfect place to relax and sip your favorite beverage while you chat with your favorite people - it's just what I think every pretty front porch in the South should be!”
