The food is great. Freshly cooked with care, but the atmosphere is not so great. They have tables and chairs blocking you off from the register. Doesn't feel welcome in the store with that presentation.

Instantly walking into this place was unwelcoming, the lobby is set up to block customers from getting to close to the counter or kitchen, either way very odd and a little concerning like what were they hiding? Also the lobby looked very out dated and a bit run down. It made me question the sanity of the restaurant and the safeness of the food I ordered. I’ve hear a lot about this place so had to see for myself. The service was one sided as the waitress barely spoke. Was told a wait time of 10-15 waited 17 so not bad but for 3 items, idk you judge that.I ordered 1 pint of hot and sour soup. It was fresh I believe and very hot. It tasted pretty good but it was no spicier than black pepper.I give that 5 stars. For the price, not bad.I also ordered 1 pint of egg drop soup.I give that 1.5 stars, it was watered down and it didn’t taste very good. It seemed old and was barely warm. The color of it didn’t seem right. I didn’t finish it. I would not order that again.I ordered 1 order of spring rolls, the size much bigger than most places almost exact to the size of an egg roll. Taste, way too much black pepper, it was under cooked and very soggy inside, did not eat them all the way. I would not order those again. Price was just under $12.00. I didn’t leave a tip, was not necessarily worth it especially since the waitress didn’t say but two words and walked probably 20 ft when I ordered and again when I picked up.I don’t think I’ll be back. Too questionable.Parking: Small lot, multi store unit shared parking, parking unclear as to which business owned which spots.

This place has become my new favorite Chinese spot. I am obsessed with the beef fried rice. The meat is soooo tender. Perfect amount of veggies in my rice. The fried dumplings are my second favorite!! So delicious ? I am now turning into their new regular.

I am no expert in Chinese food, but I do love to eat and tend to get take home quite a bit. It is my humble opinion that Hunan House is the best Chinese food in Valdosta .I’ve had many of their dishes, but my go to is General T’so chicken or Beef and Broccoli. I also LOVE the steamed dumplings. They give you awesome big portions and it’s never greasy.

They’re so rude. The boy has been on the phone forever and two people have brought orders up from the back and walked away instead of greeting me. The orders sitting on the counter getting cold because the women in the back won’t help the front counter.

The worst Chinese food we've ever had. Overpriced, mushy, and cold. Sesame Chicken was lumped together and soggy, rice was yellow, bland, and not what I would call fired rice. The egg rolls were loose, soggy, and flavorless. The staff were rude, service was very slow, and the entrance to the place was blocked off preventing customers from coming inside. This entire place screams they don't care. We will never be back.

I do not recommend this place. Worker was not friendly and food was not good. They also charged me more than stated on the menu and when I asked, the worker was rude. I still got the food in hopes that it would be good but it was not. Waste of money and time

Are you going to find gourmet Chinese food in Valdosta, Georgia? Unlikely. (I know, I know, I sound like a snob.) As I told T, if you order something basic there's a chance it could be good. And in this instance, my prediction was right. Getting takeout to eat in our hotel room, we chose something light: wonton soup and house special chow mein prepared in white sauce. And y'know ... our food was really good. I'd say a smidgen less than four stars. Wontons were nicely filled and not overly doughy. The broth was flavorful. Chow mein had a good assortment of vegetables and a generous mix of shrimp, pork, and other proteins. See for yourself!

The food was tasty. The place could stand some cleaning up.
