Visited Big Door just before the eclipse on the 8th. Beautiful big facility but I agree with some other reviews that their parking is not the best. Love the scenery and the water features! Tasting room is big and roomy. Wines were a little too sweet for my taste with many Muscadine blends.

We arrived on a Tuesday afternoon. It was tame, and very lovely. Service was provided with a smile, and there was a great selection of wines! We came here on a whim. So glad we did (Sauvignon blanc is delicious)!

We had a wonderful Saturday visit. Two wine flights , a wine slushy, and a bottle of WOW wine, along with their charcuterie board. There was live music and a beautiful sunset, and a romantic atmosphere. We will be coming back.

A place you should definitely visit. It is a very nice place suitable for families, where you can walk around the open lake and drink your wine, it is child-friendly, and the wines taste delicious. The employees were very kind and helpful. When we stated that we do not eat meat, they prepared the charcuterie plate with double cheese in a very nice way. We, as a family, were very pleased and will come back again.

We have been here 5 or 6 times. Every time we go, we enjoy the atmosphere, beautiful scenery, and the various choices of wines. Some are in-house from the Big Door Vinyard, and some are imported. Usually, you have light acoustic music to listen performed by talented musicians. The ownership and staff are helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. Charcuterie boards offer refreshment. Sometimes, they have local food trucks there if you need heartier fare. Well done! 5 ?

Wish I could give 10 stars. The service was so AMAZING. The staff was incredibly nice and helpful. We got 2 wine flights, the pimento cheese dip, and then a bottle of Peachcasso wine. The pimento cheese dip was a large portion and the wine was delicious (very sweet but I love sweet wines). Will definitely be going back

PROS:The outside of the vineyard is beautiful, there is plenty of outdoors seating, benches and swings, very scenic.The Chicken Salad Plate and Cajun Plate were tasty, and there not shy about giving you plenty of chips. There was a LARGE amount of chips on our plates.The waitress was nice and the girls behind the bar were sweet as well.There is live music and food trucks.Accepts Apple PayCONS:Be super specific when you make reservation on where you would like to sit, I made reservations for what I assumed would be a table, I also was told thru email it would be a table, it was unfortunately not a table, it was a barrell.... which ultimately ended up being super uncomfortable and completely sucked. There is just not enough space to eat on a barrell if you order wine and order food or appetizers. We had to hold our plates in the air to make room for the wine flights and it was just not pleasant.People kept sitting at our barrell everytime we got up...it was very frustrating to have other strangers eating and drinking at our barrell when we were not seating in it.You CANNOT hear a thing of what is being said regarding the wine pairings because the live music is to loud for the space there working within, so when we were being explained about our wine pairings, neither of us could hear a thing the helpful young lady said unfortunately. This would work better if the space were larger or make sure to get your info on the wine when the live music isn't playing.Unlike traditional Vineyards, where you have a server, this is more bar style, you have to get up and order everything and take it back to your table. The only item that was brought to us was our food, you must order everything else at the bar and take it to the table yourself.Although I have email confirmation that a wine flight comes with a souvenir wine glass, we were immediately told at the bar that we did not pay the $20 wine flight, only $14 wine flight, so we would not be getting a souvenir wine glass, this was after we had paid...
