I had a profoundly disappointing experience at Century House in Woodstock today. I've been there a dozen times before. Today was memorable in an unfortunate way. Despite the restaurant being barely a quarter full, the service was shockingly slow and inattentive. It took an astonishing 35 minutes just to have drinks brought to our table after being seated. The wait for our food was even longer, dragging on for 40 minutes. To make matters worse, the server assigned to our table was extremely disrespectful and rude, a behavior that completely tarnished what should have been a pleasant dining experience. Out of respect for privacy, I won't mention the server's name, but this occurred today between 1:30 and 2:30 p.m. I am truly disheartened by the lack of professionalism and courtesy displayed, and I cannot foresee myself returning or recommending this place to anyone.

Been going here for 10 plus years. Food has continued to decline and so have the people going here. It was a great place to go for great food, now not so much. Even the salmon sandwich is now a sandwich patty?? I will not be back until they raise their standards. What happened???

Thankful is the best food I have ever had. I order a small plate and the small plate was pork belly and grits, the flavors together are so good. For my entree I had the salmon with corn and cauliflower rice. I loved it. I wish they would have added just a little bit more cauliflower rice but it was delish. They give you nice size portions . The customer service is good. Dessert was the bomb. They have a cream brulee. The cream brulee was so good, it was party in my mouth. So I do recommend people go to Century House Restaurant. The atmosphere was great.

We celebrated our 35th year anniversary, and had an incredible experience! Table was set with our favorite glass of presecco waiting. Table location was fabulous in the glassed in area, but any area would have been perfect. We had a lovely dinner. The Tuna appetizer was AMAZING. Everyone was so welcoming, and the service was perfect!! We could not have asked for a more memorable experience. We definitely recommend this place and will be back again and again!!Parking: Downtown Woodstock

Well, we are outside waiting. We were told 1 hour. No problem until they said they texted my husband and we received no text, they must have written down wrong number because they also had a wrong name. So 2 hrs later, we are still waiting. Then they came out and sat people outside and gave them menus right in front of us. Never again. It has been a terrible birthday experience.Update: we ended up leaving and eating at Izumi’s which was yummy. We got the text at 9:28-3.5 hours after we got to Century House. It gave us a good laugh.Dear Century House Tavern-You actually can correct it. Good, or should I say great, restaurants train their staff well. “Keep the customers happy” should be part of the training. Offer a drink or an app instead of excuses. Even Chik-Fil-A practices that.

Nestled in the heart of Woodstock, Century House Tavern is a delightful culinary haven that seamlessly blends history, flavor, and warmth. Here’s why I adore this charming establishment:Locally Sourced Ingredients: Century House takes pride in sourcing ingredients locally, ensuring freshness and supporting the community. Each bite tells a story of the region.Ambiance: Step inside, and you’re greeted by an inviting atmosphere. The ambient lighting dances off the hardwood floors, creating a cozy and elegant vibe. For those who love al fresco dining, the outdoor seating is equally enchanting.Top-Notch Service: The staff at Century House deserves applause. Friendly, attentive, and efficient, they elevate the dining experience. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or simply enjoying a meal, their warm smiles make you feel right at home.Culinary Delights: The menu is a symphony of flavors. Some standout dishes include:Seared Ahi Tuna: A delightful dance of freshness and umami.Country Fried Chicken: Comfort food at its finest.Shrimp & Grits: A Southern classic done to perfection.Ruben Sandwich: Layers of flavor in every bite.Steak: Juicy, succulent, and cooked to perfection.Libations: The full bar offers an array of libations, including local draft beers. Cheers to good company and great drinks! In summary, Century House Tavern is more than a restaurant; it’s a celebration of culinary artistry. Whether you’re savoring a leisurely Sunday lunch or enjoying a lively Friday evening, this gem promises an unforgettable experience. ?️?
