Food fiend did a vlog few months ago on Catania Waimalu. Thanks Misty?when I went in after 12:30 I must've of missed the crowd inside and take out .Taste ? portion size ?can diffently do family style so you can try more options. Place is clean and tables not crowed together . Linda very nice❤ will be back to try out more menu choices. Lilikoi cheesecake delish ...maybe slice could be a little more BUT then again with the portion size of meal it may just be right amt. I had Spaghetti w/ meat sauce and order of garlic bread...if you a bread eater maybe 2 orders? check them out!Parking: waimalu always busy but people are picking up lunch and leaving so there's always someone leaving

Absolutely love this place, and my only complaint is that how far I have to drive to get here. BYOB, reasonable prices, fresh delicious entrées, and tasty desserts.... nothing more to ask for.

Ordered lunch for our coworkers last day. They are located one the left side of Waimalu Shopping Center. I made the mistake of parking pretty far. They have a lot of seating inside. I got the seafood combo with garlic butter, the servings are huge! A lot of us didn't finish due to the huge portion. There was a lot of chopped clams and other seafood and the garlic butter sauce was delicious. Definitely will be back to try other things on the menu.

Portions are so good esp for the price! I only ate inside once but have done takeout on a bunch of occasions. I usually eat the pesto chicken pasta - which is sooooooo tasty. The chicken almost has a very very light/thin breading on it? Idk what it is but it's very tasty. My husband likes the chicken anchovy olio. He said it's just as good as assagios! I also order a side of extra garlic for mine haha My kids enjoy the regular spaghetti meat sauce and they can split the portion and have extra for later too. Which I appreciate. Overall super good food and the staff is always very friendly.

We used to drive to Buca, Assagio and Paesano until we discovered this place. It started with my neighbor bringing us food during Covid lockdown and I asked, "Where did you get this? " Long story short, due to Covid the Bishop St. location closed and moved to Waimalu shopping center. We love the family size portions because the sauce soaks into the pasta the next day making leftovers tastier than the first round; especially when I have an active 10 year old almost as big as me- 5'2" 115 lbs. Sorry no pictures as my family won't wait to eat. My 10 year old loves the Marsala chicken with "buttery noodles." My 73 year old father in law loves the melt in your mouth lasagna meat sauce. I like the just creamy enough Alfredo sauce that is not too heavy to trigger heartburn. Shrimps and chicken breasts are large size too. . . My husband loves anything "red sauce." The decor is family friendly so the prizes are family friendly compared to the 3 restaurants I mentioned above. This is the place we go on "carbs don't count days" as the food is worth the calories.

I have eaten at MANY Italian restaurants. I must say Catania Italiano Ristorante is "EXCELLENTE"!!! The portions are great, the ambiance is very nice, the prices are reasonable, the service is great, and the taste and quality is "EXCELLENTE". A very fine dining experience. I'm looking forward towards returning.Parking: Waimalu

Do you like Assagios? Paesano's? Yes? OkDo you like Bravos? Yes? OkIn my opinion this place is a perfect, pleasant and even more of a value in-between the first & second line.My friends and I love coming here. Since it's opened I must have been like 6 times. It helps that my boss loves this place from his experience with the town location and we work in Pearl City. Quality is a smidge less than the top of the line, but they more than make up with their portion size - like Bravo's (except Bravo's makes my stomach hurt. Oh and I did see their portions shrank so maybe this is not a good comparison). To be clear (imo) the quality is better than Bravo's - more like Ricardo's. Anyway their food is fresh & freshly made, portions are large and the value is one of the better ones I have seen recently. They can go from empty to fully booked real quick so chose wisely when you decide to go - reservations would be best during prime time on the weekends.Ambiance is a quieter and fancier set up - like Ricardo's so families and dates would all feel comfortable. Nice family run business.

Located in Waimalu Shopping Center, it is located at the end of the line of eateries. And while its location can be easy to find, parking can sometimes be a pain since it's a one way lot. The food is meant to be shared, so if you have a smaller appetite, this might not be for you. We've been here a couple times, both which we did not dine in but instead picked up our order from the restaurant. Observed the dining area while waiting and all tables were of large parties. Food, as I mentioned, is meant to be shared so the portion sizes could feed 3-4 people per dish. My husband loved his dish whereas I wasn't too big on the sauce having a little sweetness to it. So if you like large portions and don't mind the sweetness, then check it out.

This place was amazing. The owners are the sweetest. I had Cheesecake Factory the night before and was really disappointed. When I ate at Catania, I was blown away. Huge portions for a reasonable price. The food is amazing and the desserts topped it all off. I will definitely recommend this place and come again.

Found this place on the recommendation of a family member who had eaten takeout and liked the food. We decided to give this place a try for dine in on a Friday night. Location is on the very far west end of the Waimalu Shopping Plaza so park on that end or you will have a lengthy walk.Decor is casual and there is plenty of seating. It looks like a family run business and the people who seated us and served our food was friendly. Menu has a variety of options, but know that bread is for purchase. The food was very tasty and serving sizes were generous.Hint: If you want to bring your own adult beverage you can do so and will even be provided glasses to use. Fair is fair give this place a try whether it be for take out or dine in. Try the tiramisu or one of their cheesecakes too!

Delicious food and Linda was very good. We went for a 7:30pm reservation and they close at 8:30pm. If you're not finished eating they really try to push you out. That left a bad impression.

Eating leftovers for mid morning meal after gardening...spaghetti with meatballs in marinara sauce and garlic bread. Tasted great on Sunday and even better today!!! I ate half at dinner and brought the rest home for another meal. Lucky me!!! So many meatballs! Lots of sauce!Service fantastic and nice, friendly ambiance. This is my third visit to this restaurant and I am not disappointed!Try like---you'll surely like this place!

Great portion sizes and the flavor is awesome! We had a delicious dinner here and was seated right away on a weekday. We never have issues parking here at Waimalu shopping center. The service was excellent. The pasta was cooked right and the sauces were delicious. Hubby ordered the chicken parmigiana and meatball which was super delicious except for the meatballs. Tasted more like breakfast sausages and didn't taste like it was home made. We also ordered the pasta with clams and they gave us tons of clams. The only ask I may have is that they chop the onions rather than cutting them so big. I didn't think it went well with the overall dish but that's just my preference. If you don't like large onions, you could ask to omit.
