Reminds me of the old Grace's that was there before this. Same layout but different food. I ordered the pancakes as I remembered the old Flamingo off of Kam had good pancakes. It wasn't the same. The pancakes were tough and rubbery. This is the second time I ordered this as I wanted to give it a second chance. Both times were the same. I found out that the new owner uses pre-made pancake mix. Hopefully the owner will go back to the old Flamingo way of making things from scratch.

This is a place to go when you're hungry and you just want to treat yourself or treat others to some good good food and friendly service. I ordered oxtail soup, cornbeef with cabbage and roast beef plates. The pricing is slightly above cost but the taste of the food is well worth it. As for the customer service, they have the utmost respect as well being kine and friendly, so please show them the same. Though they change the name of the place to Newtown, the food itself is still delicious. Wish I took photos but was so hungry, the food was gone.

We go there after ⛪church on Sunday for breakfast. Our server knows just what we want and there is Kim cheese on the side for free. Great place for breakfast ?.

On Sundays I grab Flamingo's French Toast breakfast special! Light and fluffy french toast paired with crispy bacon, name a more classic breakfast combo.! Affordable with quick service if youre up early enough to snag some grub. Located in the heart of Waimalu with a handful of parking stalls. Quick grab and go spot!

When you're looking for something hearty and filling, a dining room full of construction workers is a good sign. Though I have no idea if this Flamingo has any connection to the classic Flamingo of the '80s, the menu was reassuringly local: full of carbs, gravy, and grease. The food was solid, and rightfully left me ready for a nap. Can't ask much more of a classic plate lunch place.

Neither the owner or the cooks dont care about the customers. For the price the food is horrible

I had dinner at the Flamingo Express last night. I ordered the Oxtail Stew. It was awesome! I also like their Potato Mac Salad. It has just a hint of sweetness and tartness. From the color, I would say they use just a touch of mustard. The owner always has some kind of Kimchee that is offered at no extra cost. It's a sweeter less spicy version of Kimchee, so anyone can enjoy it. I like spicy things, but I have to say her Kimchee is really good.

I ordered take out. When I brought it home, I noticed the lettuce in my Chinese Chicken salad was old...it should've been thrown away instead of serving it to their customers. This did happen to me a while ago at this same location but thought I'd give them another chance...WRONG MOVE! Guess this is a normal thing they do which is sad. I called and informed them. The worker said the only thing that can happen is that I come back TONIGHT for a replacement because they don't give refunds and I can't pick up a replacement tomorrow. What's up with that?! I asked to speak to the owner because I saw her there. Said she was upstairs so she can't come to the phone and will tell me the same thing. This worker kept making noises on the phone with sounds of irritation. I did bring it to her attention that I could hear her and informed her that with COVID19, restaurants can't afford to lose customers with that kind of attitude but it didn't phase her. Wish I could choose negative 5 stars for the food and attitude! WILL BOYCOTT THIS PLACE...NOT WORTH MY HARD EARNED MONEY!

I cannot believe after all these years I only discovered ranch 99 this year. The flamingo express is delicious. Their daily specials are always yummy. I love their sweet-and-sour spareribs and shoyu chicken. Whenever I go there I always make sure to grab either a peach or banana pie. I really think they're the only ones who make a banana pie on the island. It's double crusted like an apple pie but filled with very sweet fresh banana. No-frills place but five stars for sure.

Came here on a Friday morning before 1000. We ordered the oxtail soup, beef stew and banana bread. We were very satisfied with the food and the serving size. The banana bread is amazing and the best part is that it doesnt have nuts! They do accept cards and there is plenty of parking.
