This place has excellent food. The bentos are a great deal and the plates are pretty heavy. The owner is very nice and the rest of the staff is very friendly.

Ordered kanpyo maki and shinko (takuan) maki. Made to order here. Small bento, sushi and plate lunch available. Reasonable prices. The place exudes mom and pop local vibes. There are a few booths and seats available to eat in or you may order take out. Nice lady took my order and a nice man helped with the take out plate lunches. Both helped with the seated customers. The sushi was tasty and the rice was fluffy. Enjoyed both the shinko and kanpyo makis. I was initially looking for musubis. This was a perfect substitute. I've been coming here for years, it's been a little tradition for me and my mom to drop in for some food any time she comes back to visit O'ahu. I haven't been back here for years but I came back tonight to grab some food and the owners and their daughter (i believe) were so happy to see me. The experience made me feel whole and so good inside. It's not long before these hole in the wall old school food places start disappearing. Appreciative of the smiles, awesome food, and soul I feel every time I visit Ohana sushi. I recommend trying it out if you haven't before, make it a tradition and i doubt you'll be disappointed. If you've already been here with good company im sure you understand what I'm talking about. Much love auntie and unko!

Love that this is family owned and operated business. Love coming for breakfast, My favorite is the Kim chee omelet. Bentos, Korean food, bubble tea, sushi. They have such a wide selection. Love the home cooked taste of the food. We have been coming for years.

Honestly I was hoping to find a hidden gem. I love stopping by mom and pop shops but this was so unsatisfying. I ordered a breakfast plate B. With bacon and cheese and fried rice. The cheese I think is mozzarella cheese and definitely isn't the usual cheese for breakfast omelettes. The bacon in the omelette was good, but the fried rice was absolutely disgusting. It doesn't even appear to be fried! It just looks like white riced mixed with veggies. This was a waste of money I spent almost $15 on this and didn't even eat half of it. The restaurant was empty and it had 2 different sides to it the sushi side as the bbq side. There was 1 other person there when I was ordering. The man was nice but yeah not worth my money.

Ohana BBQ has been on our to-try list for a while and while out and about we finally stopped in. There are tons of choices, all photographed and up for consideration on the walls behind the counter -- all the food looked delicious. The gentleman who took our order was patient and kind, answering all our queries and explaining each dish. We ordered the Ohana special to share and it was the perfect amount of food for two looking to enjoy a light lunch. The sushi rice was the softest I've had in a long, long time and the roll overall was super delicious. Definitely intend to come back here and try more fair. Also, bathrooms are available to customers, which is nice.

The last time I dined at Ohana BBQ and sushi was a few decades ago and I never came back until yesterday because I didn't care for the food. I figured that the food must be pretty decent for them to be in business for many years and the reviews were pretty good also. So, I finally returned because all the other restaurants at Waimalu Shopping Center was packed on Christmas Eve except for Ohana. I ordered a fried rice with eggs and spam. When I got it home I noticed that the fried rice looked like it was only mixed with frozen vegetables. The eggs and spam were OK but the fried rice was terrible, I couldn't eat it. It tasted like the only thing they used to season the fried rice was packaged dashi (like the saimin soup packets). I probably won't come back, but if I did I would avoid the fried rice.

Stopped here before heading back to Texas. We liked everything the only thing we didn’t care for was the ramen it wasn’t anything special to it for it to be $10. That’s my only complaint everything else was good.

Dynamic sushi and spicy chicken wings are my go-to. They never disappoint. Their menu of sushi selections and local plate lunch options can be overwhelming but if you know what you want, no worries!

Absolute phenomenal service, undisputed in my opinion the best kalibi i've ever tasted. Cooked perfectly and amazing taste. They make sure you have enough to last the whole day.

Online menu isn't even update to their actual pricing. Website menu says 18$ for kalbi and chicken my mother in law was charged 27.21$. Almost 30$ for two strips of kalbi and two small pieces of chicken. Do not recommend had to go through the pictures people posted trying to read blurry images to see why it was so expensive.
