i went to this safeway recently and the cashier was rude and when i talked to some people i know they told me the same thing about the cashiers there. there are multiple of them with bad attitude. also i witnessed a worker getting yelled at and was called names by a customer and it was very upsetting how the manager didn't even try to say anything on behalf of her worker. im a customer myself and i can say that customers are not always right. i get upset about things but i would never humiliate and yell at any workers. i loved the deli side tho their chicken wings are the best especially the vinegar ones! always greets us with a smile and great attitude. also they always clean their stations so i know their food is clean and safe!

My guest loved this cake!!! It was vanilla cake with strawberries inside!! My son loved the Cars toys and that's all he wanted! Safeway did a great job with the cake and having it ready on time. We loved it and the cupcakes!!

Today's the first time in a long time since I last set foot in this particular Safeway. All I have to say is..the elderly wench of a cashier named Bernadette with all white hair should smile & have a better attitude! She was very RUDE & condescending to the customer in front of me..cutting them off when they asked her questions. Then she starts ringing up my groceries as if she was rushing to go on break when she asked if I needed any bags. I told her just 1 bag is fine since I had a few small things to bag. She looked at my items again & repeated in a condescending tone, "Just ONE bag?" I looked at her like, "Did I stutter?" She bags the small items & put them in my cart. She then grabs the 2 trays of meat that I bought & tosses it in the cart next to the bag. She's lucky I respect our kupuna otherwise I would've cussed her out! Safeway, do BETTER & get rid of these types of trashy workers!

Worst Safeway I've been to in my life. 1 check out lane open. 3 employees trying to help 1 lady check out 1 item. I stood begins her for over 10 mins. I let the line and went to self check out. Issues with self check out machine. Took the lady a long time to come fix the issue. People were still waiting on line behind the one lady with one item when I left.

I order the same white cake with strawberries and custard and whipped cream for my daughter's birthday every year and they must have changed the recipe because the cake was not good (more sponge like). The cake was different and everyone didn't care for it. I guess I will be looking elsewhere for another cake for her birthday...so bummed.

Anna from the bakery does it again! Beautiful birthday cake and it is delicious too! Chocolate cake with fresh strawberry filling! The cake was super moist! Reasonably priced. Looks good and tastes great! I'll be back for more cakes. Make sure you see Anna!

Today I stopped by Safeway to pick up a deli combo which includes 6 chicken wings and two side choices for $10. They were out of my favorite vinegar wings but they did have Buffalo and spicy so I got one combo for my wife and one for me. One Buffalo and one spicy just to be safe when I got home. I showed my wife the choices and we divided the Buffalo and spicy so we each got 3 of each. It was a win win! The food was plentiful and looked great. I suggest you go early to give you the best options of what's available. In todays world $10 for a dinner is a good deal plus you get your veggies and protein. Their Kale salad is always good and their coleslaw is fresh. These are usually our two side selections. You should give your Safeway a try, I think you might be pleasantly surprised.

I wish they had someone that knows how to slice cold cuts.. always cut thick even if you ask them to cut it thin. The deli dept is pretty bad.

I love $5.00 Friday's at Safeway stores....Every Friday different items are on sale for $5.00. What a deal. Safeway has very fresh vegetables and fruits and many times you can find items you can't find in local grocery stores. Floors are clean, aisles are wide so easy go around when another customer is shopping and you can always find someone to help you and this is a huge plus. I love their beautiful flower selection. Always fresh and full of color and the bakery makes fresh breads and delicious sweets daily. Lots of parking and they even let customers use the restroom.... Another huge plus....

So this safeway is ALWAYS BUSY. The workers are pretty much ok. I mean... I did have a few moments where the cashier is EXTREMELY RUDE. But these were the younger workers. I'd say late teens, maybe early twenties. So from my past experience, I try to avoid going to the registers with the young looking cashiers. Hehehe...Otherwise, they DO have good sales IF you know how to use them. You MIST download their app to get the best savings. Oh AND... by downloading the app, it prevents other people using YOUR coupons and rewards. How?! Apparently if you walk into the store, the stores system automatically links with your device. Once it does that, it can pick up the number you enter into their pad when you cash out. This will automatically scan through your coupons and sales you clipped in the app. So this is why it's important to open the app and clip the coupons. Because when you go into the store and renter you number, it'll connect with your device you have on you and automatically apply every single coupon you clipped in the app. Which is why it shows that I save over $20" each time I shop. Believe it or not, it really does make a difference. I LOVE cashing out at Safeway. I feel like I won the lotto when they tell me my final cost. Hehehe... I'm always waiting til that LAST PRICE DROP & then I'm like "WOOHOO!" Everyone cracks up laughing because I'm so excited. Even the customers after me starts getting anxious as to see how much they saved. Most will see how much money I've knocked off and asked... "wait, how much was her total. They'll say it was @ $600, now it's at $183." They'll look at me & ask how the hell?! So I tell them, download the app. The cashier confirms it's the app. Then I end up telling them HOW to use the app & clip all the coupons. That way the next time they come in, they'll see all the deductions. I'm telling you... the app really helps. But remember... it's linked to the number YOU HAVE on you in the store. So if your husband decides to use your number to get the discounts and coupons, but doesn't go store WITH YOU, he WONT get the sale prices!!! Unless he HAS YOUR PHONE! And if you use a house number, I'm sure it's versatile, BUT... remember, if he can use it, so can others. Which means, you may loose out on those $5 off coupons that you wanted to use. Why?! Because then other people can use the same number and then swipe your coupons. They might give your your rewards, but still, you loose you chance for a lower cost. You see, they usually have $1 off, $2 off, $3 off & $5 off coupons for specific items or after spending a specific amount of groceries, these do ADD UP. If all those $-OFF coupons apply to your purchase that day, guess what... that's NOT JUST $5 off, it's $1+$2+$3+$5=$11 TOTAL OFF your amount. (ONLY TO WHAT IS APPLIED) So yeah... those $-OFF coupons REALLY DO HELP TOO! You also get these reward tokens. You can use them to get a free item or 2. Depending on how much tokens you have. But sometimes they'll have a can of pork & beans for 1 token. And if you have 5, you could use 1 of the 5 to get that free can. You could also combine it too. So let's say a can of pork & beans is 1-token & foil is 2-tokens & a pack Scotts 12-roll toilet paper is 3-tokens, that's a total of 5-tokens. You could use the 5- tokens to get AL of that FOR FREE! These are just examples guys. They have different varieties throughout the month. So you'll ha e to pick and choose what you want to use the tokens for. And YES! I do believe they DO expire! So use them when you can. If your a frequent shopper, I'd say build it up to where you have a lot of tokens and then use them all at once before they expire. Otherwise, if your like me and shop there when needed, I'd say use your tokens ASAP so you don't waste them. It'll only go back to the store. So I'm commenting on the way the cut fruits are sold. I mean today I spent $5.99 on a bowl of fruit.I'm on the go so I figure ahhh eat fruit, it won't be messy while driving. GEEEZ LOUISE!!! the fact that each of these pineapple cuts was so big that they could be cut in 4's or maybe even 6 pieces each pineapple blows my mind.I was so hungry, I tried to take a bite of one (smallest one). All the juices dropped on my clothes and the pineapple core was still intact! . Then I drop that one, try another one. It was over ripe. You could taste that yucky old taste and it just ruined it. I tried to finish the first one just so that the over ripe taste stuck in my mouth went away.I mean....it's so upsetting to think I'm paying for inedible parts of a fruit. Customer service at this Safeway just gets better and better. Gentleman by the name of Ian asked if I needed help finding anything. He approached me twice - and twice he enthusiastically helped me find what I was looking for. During checkout, a gal who was filling in from the Kapolei branch caught me by surprise. She asked me for my grocery bag and graciously packed my groceries for me. Thank you to you both today!

Decided to give Safeway another try with their other special. They had the chicken wings on sale for $5 a pound. Called and asked if they could hold 3# of their Salt & Vinegar wings for me...said I would have to come down to order the $5 Friday specials. Arrived about 10 minutes later...they only had 2#'s left and would need to wait 45 minutes. I asked if I could get a rain check...one of them said I couldn't, the other said I could. Since I had a long wait for the wings, I went to the cashier to get the rain check. She called the Deli and the person she spoke to said I can't get one. I informed her one of them said I could. Not sure why they were giving me a hard time because according to the cashier, there's a 6# limit. If they ran out and I couldn't get what I wanted, why didn't they want to give me a rain check? The cashier did end up giving me one but didn't seem happy about it. TERRIBLE customer service!Just wanted to mention...while waiting for my chicken, I did bump into a friend. He also wanted to buy the Salt & Vinegar chicken wings. I informed him they were out but tried anyway. He came to find me and said he got the wings...he just had to wait 5 minutes. They also asked him how many pounds he wanted...WHAT?!!!! Thought they were out!!!!! 1 stars for the customer service from a front cashier named Bernadette, if I could give zero I would but safeway has a wide selection of groceries so let's give them that. But the rating is solely for the cashier whom clearly doesn't like her job as she wears it in her face. And her demeanor... came in with a coupon clipped from their app. She rings up the items tells me it doesnt work, I shown her that I clipped it , she continues to tell me well it ain't working ... it's not the first time any shopper has came across this annoying nuisance of their app and couponing .. instead of asking for help from someone like a manager , she tells me next time I need to print it out ?? As if she doesn't believe me .. ok whatever , I'm still being calm and collected I say ok then I will put some of my groceries back, she yanks it away from my hands and says give me that! As she gave it to her bagger to put it away. . Um at that point I was thinking " you are not the only person here that can give attitude " but I kept it classy and went on with my day.. but hey safeway ... call your company corporate or whatever whoever in charge of the app and coupons kus it never works ! And your employees tells us all the time the system doesn't work! And Bernadette , please be patient and nice as you are in customer service !
