Five star view for sure. Our lunch was pretty good, the breakfast menu looked better but we missed it by a few hours. Definitely worth popping in, and my wife said her coffee was fantastic.

The Coffee Shack is the perfect breakfast spot. Customer service was outstanding, along with food and the view...?

The view from the dining area is second to none and the food makes it even better. My Ono Benedict was delightful and my iced latte was the perfect way to start our drive to Volcano.Keep an eye on those geckos, though! They were quite interested in what we were doing, haha.

They couldn't get my order right, then got pissy with us. Sorry you don't know how to cook eggs the way I like them. Still paid full price AND got attitude from the employees. Not a good experience unlike the other times I have been there

This place is a must for it's views, friendly staff and baked goods. Geckos love to visit your table and give a warm welcome to visitors.Only draw back is the parking. Directly off the busy street so can be difficult to get in and out of spaces and only a few extra spaces located down a very steep hill. Go early and expect a wait but worth it.Parking: Careful getting out of parking spaces. Additionally parking down a steep hill

The coffee was mediocre, everything else was absolutely out of this world. Do not change the name. The vibes are immaculate.Imagine a greasy spoon but healthier and in the mountain jungle, with a massive avocado tree right outside. That's this place.10/10

This spot is all about the baked goods. The entrees are good, no doubt. I enjoyed my Reuben and my partner loved the Veggie sandwich. But the Passionfruit Cheesecake we had at the end is what set this place apart. Maybe the best dessert we had all vacation long.

One of the best food places in Captain Cook Hawaii. Really good food and service. I tried a vegetarian special, scrambled eggs with macadamia pesto, papaya special and french toast.

A must-visit restaurant on the Big Island. People who say it doesn’t taste good should look for the reasons within themselves.
