The Short Rib Hash was a breakfast skillet unlike any I’ve had. It was amazingly good. Pleasant atmosphere and friendly service. Other breakfasts were nice too - French toast, etc and good coffee.

we found this place while sightseeing. We stopped to stretch and get a bit, and we decided to try this place. Not a real impressive building, but let's try it. The staff was super friendly and helpful for recommendations. I got the Garlic Shrimp and my wife got the Pork Adobo. It di take too long when the food arrived, fresh, hot and smelled great! Both meals were great! We will definitely be back here-and the price - only $41.00 for 2 meals and soft drink. Do yourself a favor and check this place out!

Nice casual atmosphere; good food & drinks! Husband had chili cheese omelette and I had fried rice!

I sought Breakers out because of the Momentum Generation connection. I loved the setting, the decor, the location (next to a general store too), and the food. The service was really good, we ended up going twice within 3 days. Mahi tacos, chicken pesto sandwich, fries, poke, and more- all of it was great. I traveled 10.5 hours to get to Oahu and sincerely the place did not disappoint. Sucks I didn't see Benji walking around but hey! all good!!

The three-star rating is spot on. Skip Breakers & look elsewhere for lunch because you deserve better. Nothing was offensively bad, but their fare is not representative of good Hawaiian food. Our grilled mahi mahi tacos, poke, & chicken mac nut pesto sandwich were average. If you do find yourself here, opt to eat outside; the lush green surroundings are certainly prettier than the dark & depressing inside bar.

After a long hike at Ka'ena Point we drove to town for lunch. Service was quick, the food was great, and they had a nice beer and cocktail menu. Got to have delicious garlic shrimp without having to eat outside by a food truck, so that was nice. The walls are covered with surfing competition posters, really neat decor.

Came at night and there was 1 server dealing with inside and outdoor dining. I would not recommend sitting outside as there were small bugs crawling on the table and lizards overhead. Food came quickly but I was really unsatisfied with my dish. I ordered the Breakers Garlic Shrimp Plate, which came with shrimp, rice, macaroni salad, and mixed greens. The only thing that was edible was the shrimp and macaroni salad. The rice was completely raw and could not be digested. The mixed greens had no seasoning, and no dressing was brought to the table too. I ended up only eating the shrimp and the macaroni salad.... It was definitely NOT worth $17.

I wanted to post this review before the clock strikes 12 midnight. I was hoping to post it sooner because I believe gratitude shouldn't be delayed, but it was just a busy day with the family. I should have started with a warning, this may be a long write up, just a lot of back story to tell so thank you for your patience. Originally my daughter was supposed to have oral surgery today, and I took off from work so I could accompany her. There was a change of plans because we decided to not follow through with the surgery after learning that it was not necessary. Since I already submitted leave from my job we decided to make it a family day instead. It's been a while since we drove out to the North Shore to eat some Kahuku shrimp so we thought it would be nice to go get some today. Well, as we were driving through Kunia road my wife learned through social media that the traffic is horrible going to the North Shore because of several accidents, and also some of the roads were damaged due to the recent dangerous surf that hit the Island chain over the weekend. We still decided to continue with our North Shore plans but instead of going into Kahuku we thought it might be better to eat at one of the shrimp trucks in Haleiwa since there was no indication of traffic in that area. When we arrived in Haleiwa the shrimp trucks were still closed and they were charging $2.00 for parking so we decided to just keep driving through Historic Haleiwa Town, and as we were approaching the North Shore Market Place we decided to turn into the parking lot, and we saw Breakers Restaurant and Bar. We were getting hungry at this point so we were like, let's try this place. This is where the fun begins. We always passed by this place but hardly ever stopped to eat here. I don't know how to describe the ambiance but it had a lot of old surfboards, posters, and a Christian Hosoi skateboard deck on the wall. We got seated right away, and our server was super friendly, and took our orders right away. The place surprisingly wasn't that busy yet, and mostly everyone was opting to sit outside anyway, so the inside dining wasn't too crowded. We looked at the menu and it was still breakfast. It was your typical breakfast fare, eggs, toast, pancakes, French toast, fried rice, and eggs benedict, nothing too fancy. The prices were extremely reasonable as well. My wife ordered the biscuits and gravy, and I ordered the fried rice with sunny side up eggs, and my daughter had the Adobo fried rice. Our food came out fairly quickly and we started digging in. When each of us took our first bite, we all looked at each other and was just totally amazed and satisfied at how good our food tasted. The fried rice reminded me of my dad's fried rice growing up, and I tried my daughter's Adobo fried rice and it was perfect, not too much vinegar taste like most versions of Adobo fried rice, and my wife's biscuits and gravy was super ono. Our server checked on us several times to make sure everything was okay and to ask if we needed anything. We were so grateful we stopped by and found this place. What could have ended up being a disaster day sitting through traffic, ended up being a great trip to Historic Haleiwa Town, and an epic breakfast with my family. Breakers saved the day for sure! We were so happy with the service and the food we told ourselves we will be back for sure to try other things on the menu. They also have a lunch menu as well, but we didn't get a chance to try that today. I just want to thank our server and the entire Breakers staff for a wonderful experience. The cook even flashed a shaka sign as we were leaving! Check out the pictures and more importantly checkout Breakers and support local business.

Average food fair for an average price in Hawaii. The restrooms are terrible. However, the outside surroundings are good. Service is very slow, don't expect good service here.

Best plate lunch I've had on the island! Friendly and prompt staff. A pleasurable place to relax with a beer and some delicious food!

I only write reviews when I'm super impressed or super disappointed, but I figured we drive past this place almost everyday and there's always a line or full restaurant so I decided to try it for brunch and boy was I thrilled! I wish I could chug their house made hot sauce it's nice and acidic combined with the crispy potatoes and eggs of the breakfast burrito I was in heaven. This will be my go to breakfast spot from now on!

Best part of this experience was the gecko that visited when we had finished eating (the 2 stars are 100% for that little critter!!). Took an hour and a half and the service was exceptionally slow for being no more busy than they were when we got there. Had to ask multiple times for refills. People who arrived 20 minutes after us got their food before us. The fish tacos had great flavor, so I would recommend them if you don't mind the wait.

Hard to be impressed went I go eat since i love cooking at home and fish tacos is a go to! BUT these fish tacos with the papaya salsa was certainly the best i’ve had!! Mahi mahi grilled added another layer of flavour. Sooo goooood !

Had the French dip and was not very impressed. Big chunks of beef but more fat than meat. Flavor was good on meat and the dipping sauce too. Wish I had taken a picture of the fat on my plate - gross! French fry's really good. Crispy and sea salted. Will definitely try something different next time.
