From the top notch, ever changing menu that showcases the unreal skill and creativity of the crew,the onolicious mind-blowing flavors and combinations, to the presentation of each dish while supporting local and providing 5 star quality service going above and beyond to make sure you are treated like ohana is just pure aloha! I've eaten so many places across the islands and parts of the world & this hole in the wall is absolutely one of the greatest establishments I've been blessed to support & I would recommend eating here to anybody who calls themself a foodie or an aficionado and lover of all things exquisite and magnificent because my mouth is broken and I plan on getting it broke for years to come!!! Ugh. Thought this place would be better given all the reviews. I would like to think they had someone random working the kitchen or just a really off day but this was not good. The Korean beef chimichanga was completely lacking flavour for the beef, the rice was waaaay over cooked and not seasoned - it was supposed to be kimchi rice, no beans or cheese in the burrito itself. It was just all rice and nothing else inside. Lastly the enchilada sauce was devoid of gochujang or seasoning. It’s actually hard to imagine that it could be this bad and really hope it was just a bad day. I did feel the need to share.

Awesome lunch shop with high quality food! We had the truffle beef stew with ulu mac salad and it was so rich, flavorful, tender and filling. It was so good we didn't even get a photo...!Paper boxes makes for a sustainable take out option, especially if you have your own utensils.

WOW! The Crispy Korean Turkey and Kimchi Waffles with sesame syrup and gochujang butter were one of the most amazing roadside meals I have ever had in my life. Rotating menu featuring local ingredients. I got to the car and ate everything immediately and am writing this review before I leave it was so good. Mahalo! ?

Best food I’ve had on the big island! We ordered a seafood stew and a curry chicken salad sandwich. The seafood was so fresh, delicious and full of variety. The curry chicken had such a wonderful depth of flavours! If you visit Hilo, do not miss this place!

Amazing flavors on the Big IslandA couple months ago doing research, I came across Aloha Mondays.It's a catering company that also offers lunch and dinner takeout with a menu that changes weekly using locally-grown ingredients. On the big island last week we included a stop there in our plans, and boy are we glad we did!We got these two dishes and shared them, amazing!Left dish in the photo Kulana Steak Sandwich - made with Mushrooms & Melted Swiss Cheese, Sautéed Bell Peppers & Onion. Does purple things are BBQ 'Uala Chips.Right side of photo is their Shredded Chicken Wet Burrito - served with Chipotle Enchilada Sauce, Rice, Beans & Cheese and includes sides of Pineapple Pico de Gallo & Cilantro-Scallion Sour CreamIf the Big Island (Hawaii) is in your travel plans, I highly recommend getting on their mailing list - and plan a meal (or more) for take-out there. If it's nice weather, we found great picnic tables at Queen Likiokalani Gardens on Hilo Bay.Vegetarian options: Every week's menu features one Vegan-vegetarian option

Ono grindz. Found this spot on a random internet search while in Hilo. Glad I did, because I had some of the best food during my time in the Big Island. My party ordered the ahi fish & chips, the pork & peas plate, and the ulu cheesecake. Since there's no dining area, we drove to nearby Hilo Brewing Co. to have some local brews to go with our food. Wish I had more space in my stomach to try the rest of their weekly menu. Too good.
