Fun place to watch games food is decent. I wouldn't order the steak. Over priced not worth it. But, great drinks and burgers look amazing, tacos are yummy. Staff is really cool and friendly!

Was our favourite place to eat for a week when we visited pre COVID. We were in Hilo today and came for lunch and it was just as fabulous. Lovely staff, great food, and a really good vibe. Had been looking forward to this visit and we were not disappointed. Now we're looking forward to the next visit!

Super cool bar facing the Hilo bay. Gino was the bartender. Made great food suggestions as well as local places to visit. Had the local fish salad. Very tasty. Great tap beer selection.

I would excuse the way over priced-ness of this place if the food was good but unless you get a burger your going to get something over cooked. The kalua nachos have wonton chips which sounds good until they come way over cooked and not light and flaky at all with way too much wasabi.Cheese curds were of course hard and over cooked. Don't get the $17 flat bread. It's like a microwave pizza with some extra cheese melted on top and...you guessed it, It was over cooked(black edges) as well. If this was a dive bar priced place I wouldn't even care, but to walk away spending $150 and have the only thing that was good be the burger!?smh

It was my daughter's 13th birthday and we decided to celebrate at Cronies Bar and Grill. Unfortunately our appetizers were cold and we were left twiddling our thumbs while waiting for our entrees for over an hour. We heard on a few occasions that our order would be right out soon, but to no avail. It wasn't until I made some noise that they realized our ticket was lost. The manager was professional and courteous, and offered to comp our entire meal. When the food finally came out... It was amazing! We all make mistakes but it's what you do to correct it that really matters.

Wide open bar area and second level with more tables. Small stage on the left side about mid bar. Main bar area is right in the middle of the building. Looks to be about 18-24 tables that seat mainly 4 and a few with 2. No outdoor seating. Live music is setup on the small stage by local artists every Thursday and Friday night from 1830-2030. Wife and I had two different burgers, one with rings and one with tots. Both had an upcharge for not getting fries of $2 per burger. Burgers were well cooked and very moist. Buns were soft and toppings were crisp and fresh. I added a fried egg and was not disappointed. Menu was normal bar food and some entrees. Looks to be 16 or 17 large TV's for sports and regular bar background music playing. They use Direct TV so each TV can be tuned to different events. Food service was fast, friendly and there was no wait for drinks or food. There are about 18-19 taps for beer and regular domestic selections in bottle as well.On a side note, the fees being added are getting quite overdone. Hawaii tax is not that much but add-ons for credit card and surcharge fees are getting out of hand.Parking: Across the street but area.made to walk the shops and restaurants.Wheelchair accessibility: No issues getting a chair to a table except the very back tables.

Good size sports bar down along Bay Front. Plenty big screen vewing of a multitude of sports going on om any given day. Good crowds, never overly rowdy fans with bar seating and family dining. I've never eaten anything there that disapointed me. Great burgers, french dip, and fantastic appetizers. Mosyty above average service with a couple not the greatest. However, location atmosphere, sports, and quality food. Be careful, things can add up quickly. If you are in town for a few days, I'd say you would be missing out if you didn't stop by for a spell. You're on Hawaiian time. Aloha

Why would your pasta be over $30? Literally the most expensive pasta I've had in the state of Hawaii and it doesn't have even have seafood in it...just some dry frozen chicken strips. This place is okay, but way overpriced.

I went in to Cronies one fine evening to have a drink and share some fries with a buddy. By the time I left this establishment, i was charged $50 for but TWO measly bloody Mary’s. As you can prolly imagine, I was feeling most disgruntled and unsatisfactory.It is my personal opinion that a Bloody Mary should only be priced so high when it is being served to you by a topless nymph on a white sand beach in Tahiti, not in some dark, dank wannabe dive bar.Cronies is the type of bar one visits when they are either lonely and at their end, or if they’re high on MDMA and haven’t the slightest bloody clue where they even are.The moral is simple: Don’t visit this establishment if you want to order a Bloody Mary. And if you do, prepare to leave with much lighter pockets.
