Terrific! Super delicious shaved ice, large portion. Love that it’s a family run business dedicated to more organic shaved ice using natural fruits and not fake sugars. Love it!

Cool little spot with covered picnic tables. The server gave good recommendations. They had flavors out of the ordinary and the scoops are supersized.

We love shaved ice and have been to many shaved ice places on the island. What we really like about Kula Shave Ice is the fresh ingredients! They really work hard to provide fresh, real ingredients not sugar water on a shelf but real fruit and fruit juice.

Based off of the shave ice I have experienced on Maui and the Big Island I was blown away by Kula Shave Ice. The first taste showed me the quality of the ingredients all the way until it was all gone. It will be how I compare other shave ice from now on. Refreshing and worth it.

Brilliant service, willing to go out of their way to make customers happy. Great food and generous portions at a very reasonable price.

This small shack is next to the farmer's market in Hilo. It has the best shave ice and acai bowls. Best to visit in a hot day.

Oh G! How I love chicken feet! Geeeez! And yeap! Every time I'm at dim sum place my eyes will always feast on chicken feet. And yeah, their CF in here is so dang good. A lil bit spicy but still good. This cozy place is situated in Chinatown, all thanks to Chelly, my yeep & panda food vlogger friend! One day, we had juanderventures in Chinatown & ended grabbing lunch in here.Service is okay, food is good but not the best (except CF, it's really flavorful). Price is really reasonable. Ambiance is just okay, cozy! Love their tea! But I'm having a hard time understanding what the woman is trying to explain me about a certain food that I asked. Hey yeeps friend, next time you'll dine in a dim sum place invite me pretty place. So that next time I have someone whose expert about what a certain food that they serve. Heheheh. For sure I'll give it a try again & I'll invite my flabby bandit for sure! He enjoys dim sum too (esp. CF, yeap! I let him learn to like it & now it's his favorite too, I know right? My ever competitor) LoL.Mahalo & HAPPY JUANDERING fellow yelpers!IG: hello.juanderpinaywww.juanderbandit.world

A great takeaway with hot tasty food cooked to how you like it. For example, I always ask for no added salt in the meal and they always oblige. I would definitely recommend the Happy Garden. Oh, and very generous portions.

This place was unwelcoming and full of bad customer service! Me and my dad went here today and the lady who works here was rude and showed no respect. The decor at atmosphere was absolutely shocking! I even saw a black cat walking inside the restaurant. Why even bring pets to a restaurant that could shed fur? Social distancing is not even practiced here. In the end I may not even come back at all!

This place used to be one of my favorites, but it's been worse every time I've gone in since the new owners took over. I don't think I'll ever be going back, two stars for being local and having a decent menu selection.

I went to Happy Garden several times in their first couple years after opening. It has been a couple years and tonight I returned. Same polite people, same fair prices, good taste and serving sizes. Tonight I just got egg drop and hot & spicy soups to go.

We have eaten shave ice through out all the islands, and this has been our least favourite. it was expensive and not worth it. We tried numerous different flavours.

My hubby introduced me to this place while we were island hopping and this was the best place we had it at! We were to 4 islands in 6 days and tried it everywhere... This place is amazing!

I was leary on trying out this place because of the appearance of the joint. I should've listened to my instincts. The food was less than acceptable. The prawns were way overcooked and had a terrible taste to them. The eggrolls were tough as shoe leather and hardly edible. The chow mien was all spaghetti noodles with a brown sauce and had a weird taste. My interpretation of chow mien is with bean sprouts and vegetables. The fried rice was probably the best part of the dinner ordered. It is very hard to find good authentic Chinese food nowadays, unless you drive all the way to the Seattle area. I have had worse Chinese food, but I won't be eating here again.

Your choice is Dim Sum or Cantonese menu items-either way a tasty meal is on offer at Happy Garden, which came highly recommended by a local. We weren't disappointed with our first visit last year. This year we were more adventurous-we noticed a picture of "squab" posted - so we ordered 6 pieces and were delighted-crispy skin, cracked salt and cracked black pepper dusting all sides of the small bird-excellent! This small, cosy eatery is very good for Dim Sum-and the other menu items are tempting as well. The friendly servers have limited English, however the menu items have good photos to help with your choice. Budget pricing-our squab and Dim Sum amounted to $16USD.
