“I wanted to see what all of the hype was about Korean corn dogs. Korean corn dogs have a batter that is made of rice flour and fried in hot oil, so they are very crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside, like fried mochi. Some of them have little cubes of potato mixed into the batter so they are like crispy French fries on the outside.I was very excited to find out that "Corn Dogs by Mr. Cow" in Hilo has Korean corn dogs and wanted to try them while I have the opportunity. They were terrific! Very tasty! Not healthy, but definitely fun to experience Korean street food.You can get a sausage on the inside or mozzarella or cheddar cheese, or you can get half sausage, half cheese.We got one Mr. Cow Classic outside with half sausage, half cheddar inside, one Fried Potato outside with half sausage, half mozzarella inside, and one Flaming Potato with flaming Cheeto crumbs on the outside. We also got the cheese balls. Piggies! Highly recommend for a yummy Korean street food experience!“
“I didnt realize how good thier beef corndogs were! The service was really quick and they were friendly even when I was missing something. The lemonade is great, the funnel cakes good, the platters are made fresh. No wonder it's been open for ever!“
“We tried the 3 vegan/plant-based options with 2 of them "Chicago" style and one plain (ketchup/mustard). The veggie dogs (original and Italian Garlic and Fennel) were quite tasty. Firm enough and flavorful. I would recommend these. The "Nawt Dawg" is a carrot that I imagine is marinated. I found it quite soft/mushy and really just tasted like boiled carrot.... wouldn't do that one again, but the veggie ones I would!
