I am not one that gives reviews out easily, but when the food is really great and sticks in my mind wanting more, I enjoy letting others know how good it was too! I enjoy a good fancy papaya salad with the avocados, tomatoes, and delicious mixed nuts. I've tried papaya salad many places, but this is absolutely the best I have had! It's always fresh, crunchy and so delicious with just the right amount of spiciness! I find myself looking ahead on my calendar to see which weekend I have off so that I can go get one! Way to go Ou's, thank you for your great service and such tasty food!

**vegetarian review**THE BEST PAPAYA SALAD ever!! I went to Ou's Thai food cart in Hilo farmers market. I knew I wanted papaya salad and so my order was straightforward. I didnt expect to love it as much as I did. It was so refreshing, so fresh, so tangy, so perfect. In fact I finished first salad, ate a bunch of fruit and went back to get second order. I am so upset I dont live close to this place to eat this multiple times a week, because I definitely would.. Go go go and get the salad. Do not think about it.

Hands down the best som tom, green papaya salad. Perfectly spicy with the medium level. My husband and I had woken up early to beat the crowds to farmers market and knew we wanted som tom. We couldn’t find a good stand for breakfast so we decided to just get our som tom immediately…needless to say I could happily eat it every day for breakfast. We also got an egg roll which was freshly cooked to perfection. Wish they were here every day!

Best papaya salad you will ever eat and for a reasonable price. We bought 2 papaya salads for 4 people and everyone was pretty happy. The summer rolls were excellent too.

Great find at the farmer's market!! Best vegan food I've had on Big Island.The green payaya salad with avacado and mixed nuts for $9 is so fresh, spicy, and filling for a light salad. Best green papaya salad I've had anywhere, for a long time. Medium was plenty spicy for anyone but die hards, in my opinion. My teen son who likes hot sauce on almost everything almost struggled with the heat a couple times. My wife found it perfectly spiced.The star of the show was the avacado rolls for I think $6. The peanut sauce is so good.For a couple looking for a light meal/snack as they make their way through food options of the market, I recommend the salad and roll ($15 total) to share. For a couple looking for a great takeaway option for a nearby beach or park for a slightly more filling meal, I recommend each get a roll and they share a papaya salad ($21 total, plus drinks).I can't imagine comeing to this side of the big island again and NOT coming here for some of this food!

One of the best Thai Spots on the Big Island! The yumminess that is pumped out of this small food trailer is amazing. The pumpkin curry with chicken is so tasty and pairs perfectly with the warm sticky rice. Its the bomb! The papaya salad is very delicious and refreshing (you have the option to choose your spice level and she preps it right in front of you). The summer rolls are delicate and fresh as well, the peanut sauce is one of the best I've ever had. The thai tea is cold and perfect to cool you off on the beautiful days in Hawaii (she also gives you the option to choose from regular milk or coconut milk at no extra charge)... and when available, they have sweet treats like sweetened sticky rice with fresh mango and coconut milk. My family loves the magic that comes from Ou's Thai Food!

Hands down, they have the BEST papaya salad in Hilo! I got the combo, which is both papaya and cucumber salad, I added the extra avocado and mixed nuts. It was SO worth the extra two bucks, and when I asked for thai hot, these ladies were not kidding! I literally drank the juices from the bowl! I LOVE this place and I will definitely be back for more! They found a repeat customer!
