“Nice restaurant in the Hilo Hotel. Great ambience. We had a table right by the window with a view of the sea. You come to dinner and choose whether you want to eat a la carte or take the menu offered. We chose a la carte. The food was very, very good. The portions were generous. Everything was cooked to perfection. The service was perfect. We can only recommend it. Be sure to order a whiskey at the end. If you want, it can be “smoked” in front of your eyes.“
“We visited The Temple several times while we were in Hilo in January 2023. Interesting and unknown cocktails are offered that tasted very good.There is a small but fine selection of delicacies to accompany your meal. They are not multi-course dishes; in terms of size and filling, they are more like European starters in both respects.The atmosphere and the charm of the location are something. It's difficult to describe. Go and feel. There's something relaxing about it.There's a bit of the Hilo lifestyle thrown in too. It's not like the tourist bars in Waikiki. There are locals here.Vegetarian options: There are vegetarian dishes.Parking: You can park on the side of the road in front of the building. Since we were able to reach The Temple on foot from the hotel, we can't say how much luck and time it took to get a parking space.“
