It's a place you can get to from Waikiki by UVER for about $11, the prices are reasonable, the atmosphere is good, and the food is delicious, and it's comparable to a Japanese izakaya. There was also a bottle of shochu, which was very helpful for those of us who are big drinkers. I definitely want to come back to Hawaii again!

Their meat is the best.I eat washuyu so deliciousWashu beef, which can only be eaten in America, was extremely delicious! The owner is friendly, so even if you go alone, you're sure to have a great time.Parking: You can park on the street around the store.

This place is such a hidden wonderful gem. People who work there are so nice and hard working. Ambience is genuine, chill, and has such a great vibe. Food is delicious! Absolute gem of a place.

Came here for a late dinner. Forgot how good it was since I haven't been in a while! This spot will transport you back to Japan. If you're missing the izakaya-life, this is the spot to visit! It was packed even at 9:30 when we got a table. We opted for their set meals - I got the oxtail and my boyfriend got the flank steak set. The oxtail is so tender - perfectly cooked and falls of the bone. The soup is an egg drop style soup which is unique and packed with flavor! Would get it next time for sure! Will have to come back to try everything else on their menu.

Everything on the menu is really good here. The bbq chicken and the potato mentaiko are must haves when you eat here. Reservations recommended as this place gets pretty busy. I Will be back soon!

Aburiya is the restaurant that transports you to Japan. It feels like so many of the amazing restaurants in Japan. We ordered a lot of dishes and my favorites were the beef flank , tofu and eggplant with pork. With that said, there are so many tasty options. We tried 11 dishes and I would order each dish again. Best to make reservations. We got lucky as a walk-in but did see people get turned away during a busy dinner service.
Minced meat tofu, beef tongue, and beef stomach rice are all amazing creations.

This is one of the most disappointing meals in Oahu. Maybe my expectation was too high.Pros:1. Staffs are really nice and helpful.2. Oxtail Porridge is actually pretty tasty. Recommend.3. First time that I had a grilled yum dish. Turned out to be pretty niceCons:1. Grilled eggplant with minced pork miso is very similar as cold tofu dish. Eggplant and tofu flavor are covered by the minced pork miso completely.2. Chicken Thigh and Pork belly has strong post-grill smoke flavor and the sauce is very overwhelming.3. The beef tongue not very impressive. The sesame oil does not match well with the beef tongue.4. Both my wife and I think the EwaSweet corn dish is the worst for the entire meal. Some ingredients tastes like Chinese medicine.
