I ordered bruschetta. It literally was just 5 pieces of bread with arugula, tomato, olive oil, and balsamic vinaigrette. I was unaware that they didn't put any mozzarella much less if they even use mozzarella at all on the bruschetta. For the price of $14 dollars for five pieces of bread, I could have easily paid another establishment for a bigger, heartier salad.

Based on the Yelp ratings, I wanted to try this place.I was super disappointed with the pasta. Even CPK is better.I walked past a few months ago and thought I saw a lot of people waiting in line. When I went, there was nobody else around and it was during the busy lunch hour. Now I know why I will not be returning.

$10 Charcuterie!? I'm in!I saw this place on Instagram, offering $10 Charcuterie Days on random Fridays, so as soon as I saw the post announcing the date, i gathered my food-loving friends and we made our way downtown (walking fast, faces pass). We got there 20 minutes early and were the fourth people on line. By opening time, the line was out the door and stayed that way for last least an hour. They have a variety of items to choose from like cheeses, meats, pastas, salads, etc. and they'll keep refilling it as needed for the duration of the buffet, and you can go back as many times as you want. Everything we tried was delicious, and it's a great way to sample different things. They also sell groceries (cheeses, snacks, olives, truffle oil, etc.) straight from Italy.

Been wanting to try this place in downtown for a while and finally went for lunch. My coworker got the labomba pizza and I got the smoked salmon salad. I really liked mine but was still hungry afterwards as it was pretty small. My coworker said her pizza was delicious. I took one star off due to the fact that while we waited for our food, we could see into the kitchen behind the counter where you order from. We noticed a roach crawling near the sink and counter area. They had a basket filled with sandwich bread out on the counter so I can only imagine that the roaches get to it since it wasn't in a sealed bag or container. I usually wouldn't mention this but being that the kitchen was well lit, I would think roaches wouldn't be lurking unless they had a roach problem. Hopefully they don't let it get out of hand.

I came late after some errands and after the lunch crowd. They already ran out of pasta but was still doing sandwiches or if I want to purchase from their deli. Decided to get their popular sandwich La Bomba and some snacks from Italy. So affordable little snacks which I loved and the sandwich with a few ingredients was the bomb! It's called La Bomba. Loved the fresh mozzarella, arugula, and the prosciutto was absolutely delicious! I believe it was all imported from Italy like the cheese! The bread was so delicious as well. Not hard but had a nice crunch with the yummy filling! I was told that customers would buy the prosciutto from them after trying it.They have their dinner $10 buffet once in a while at their 2nd location at the Royal Hawaiian Center Food Hall. I haven't tried that location but the sandwich was memorable and delicious! Next time I want to try their pizza or pasta and their tiramisu!

An extra star for the uniqueness of the offerings. The store has a variety of Italian grocery type items for purchase. Prices are a little higher but it's probably because of the specialty sauces, noodles, confections and biscuits. After seeing a video on Instagram for $10 charcuterie board I was anxious to stop by. Well..there was no $10 special. Think maybe on special days. Prices for menu items were $15 and up.Okay..decided to give this place a chance. I decided to order the salami picante. It was bread, cheese and mozzarella..I decided to forgo the sauce. The bread was fresh but not the crispy outside baguette I am used to. Instead bread was a little rubbery. The meats were not ample. The 3 huge slices of mozzarella was baffling. The sandwich was like a cold cheese soggy sandwich. Maybe it would have tasted better toasted. I think maybe I ordered the wrong thing for $15. Grocery items were cool and neat to look at. The staff was nice...didn't really explain foods maybe a new employee? Neat shelves and fun feel like you are not downtown Honolulu.Unique European grocery store but think for the portion size and offerings they need to lower the prices.

This spot is great if you're downtown. I'm not sure where you would park otherwise and downtown parking is no joke. The staff was helpful and knowledgeable so it was easy to pick something. The lasagna took a while, so I would recommend calling ahead. The gnocchi pasta was delicious but I would recommend eating with bread because the sauce was pretty heavy. The grocery side is interesting and if you want things specific to Italy I think they import a good selection of things. I just bought some snacks and I was happy with everything.

Love this gem downtown. Got some vesuvio tomatoes and built a beautiful little anchovy spaghetti (fresh pasta and herbs)! Owner was there and talkative and Sicilian and friendly! This place reminds me why Italian food is exciting (when done right).

The pasta was great. La bomba Sandwich was ok. The place does not have seating. Hard to fund parking near by.

The food is excellent but lesson learned on online ordering. I decided to place an online order because the lunchtime crowd can be crazy. I got there at the time my order was to be ready and still ended up waiting in line for 10 minutes because there is no online order pickup area. By the time I took my panini back to the office to eat, the bread was not crispy like it normally is. I don't know how long my panini was sitting there but better to just order there and wait for your food. I'm still going to go back but no more online ordering for me.

I ordered a pesto pizza and was told it would be ready in 15 minutes. I'm fine with a wait if the food earns it, but after 30 minutes I asked for an update, and found that they had forgotten my order completely. I saw them make it using Kirkland brand pesto and a pre-cooked dough, which made the final product look like school cafeteria food. The $15 price tag, 40 minute wait, and low quality product made the experience memorably disappointing, and sharing it for others to see seemed like the only way to get something positive out of this.

Beautiful sandwiches and service. Completely authentic and delicious. The hallway to eat in is a bit snug and not what I would ever plan on, if you live in town it's a dream. Really really good across the board.

Located in the hallway of the Arcade Building in Downtown Honolulu, I was wondering what would happen to all the open spaces. And luckily Social Media happened to reveal what filled the vacant space. This deli has everything for your Italian food fix. I wasn't sure where the menu was located as it appeared to be outside in the middle of the shop. After deliberating I couldn't decide so I asked the staff what would they recommend. According to them for sandwiches, the La Bomba is their most popular. I decided for $17, I'll try it out. I waited about less than 20 minutes (mind you I was at the tail end of a lunch rush and there were only 3 people working) until I was able to sink my teeth into it. Oh my goodness was it delicious! The meats were thinly sliced and melts in your mouth, the burrata was light, fresh, and soft. Everything was fresh and extremely delicious. At first I thought it was going to be heavy but I was mistaken! Can't wait to try the rest of the menu. On occasion, they do have some fun events like AYCE $10 charcuterie! I'll be back for sure to snag me some cheese and meats to pair with my pau Hana (after work) wine.Side note: If you are planning on going during the lunch rush, you might want to order ahead. I know some people were waiting a bit for their meals.
