Food was great - nice value for quality. Very nice poke. The service was also excellent and friendly. A quaint family-owned business. More of an fyi, this place is more for takeout as they don't have much table space.

We had a very tasty Big Island sushi platter which was served in a bento form due to better space allocation. Everything was delicious and the service was very accommodating. You felt comfortable

I arrived and started looking over the menu and at all of their different sushi/bento combos. Very overwhelming to navigate for my first time, but no big deal I eat sushi 100+ times /year. Sometimes every day twice a day.I ended up ordering the salmon/ahi poke bowl along with a samurai Maki. I also tried to order a "tuna avocado maki". This is where my problems started. The guy taking orders told me "we don't have that on the menu". I asked, can you make it for me and charge whatever you need to charge. He doubled down and said "we can't do that. We can make the spicy ahi Maki or an ahi hand roll and add avocado". Again I said, I don't want that. That comes with cucumber and spicy tuna. I would like a Maki roll with ahi tuna and avocado, that is all.At this point he still refused to make it so I said forget it, ill just stick with the poke bowl and samurai roll. When my food arrived (I ate in the location), he pushed the tray too hard at me and spilled the miso soup. (Not a lot, but I could tell he didn't like me from our exchange about the tuna avocado Maki and this was probably a subconscious action. He asked if I wanted another, I said no its fine.Lastly, the spoon for the miso soup is basically flat. I had a very difficult time eating with the spoon because you can't pick up any liquid with it. I ended up just picking up the bowl and drinking. The flavor and quality of the sushi was excellent and I had no issues along those lines.I hope this review helps the owner / management correct a few service related issues to improve this location!

You have to order the Happy Platter. The food was excellent. I believe there was 30 pieces for about $35. The food was brought out quite quickly. There is very limited seating, so expect to do take-out if they are busy. There are no alcohol or Saki service available. There also is no restroom available for use.

The sushi was very good and the owner was incredibly kind and friendly. Don't let the small store scare you away, you will be pleasantly surprised. This will now be my "go to" place for sushi.

Amazing sushi and friendly staff!! Was recommend by a friend and will be coming back here every time we come to Oahu! The Superman roll didn’t even make it out of the parking lot because it was so good!

What a nice find this place was! We were catching a flight back to the mainland and had about three hours to kill. We wanted to try one last restaurant before heading to the airport. I figured we'd just drive around not far from the airport and found this industrial park-like setting with several restaurants. There were a lot of people inside Aloha Sushi compared to the other places; so we decided to eat there. The place is small with about three or four bar stools at a bar counter near the front window. This is mostly a take-out place, but don't let that fool you. This place packs them in for good reason. I ordered an Unagi Roll and Inari. Chris ordered a Dragon Maki. The owner takes the orders and his employees does the rest. It's like a well oiled machine. He shouts out the orders to the employees in back through a Japanese Noren curtain and in minutes your order is ready. After our orders were ready, we decided to eat them in the car. I was surprised at the size of my Unagi roll. It was bigger than I expected and delicious too. It had a nice sweetened soy flavor. My Inari was the best. I loved the flavor of the fried bean curd pockets. It was sweet and savory with a touch of vinegar from the sushi rice. My wife loved her Dragon Maki. I tried it and it was very good. The filling was creamy in texture with a hint of crab flavor. It had a little crunch from the vegetable! This place puts out quality food! They developed a following and the constant lines are proof. You can always tell a good place by the patronage; so check them out! Mahalo!
