Didn't miss this little gem in the heart of Waikiki Beach! They have a great selection of coffees, drinks, sandwiches, gluten-free crepes, and other deliciousness. The crepes are absolutely amazing (mochi, made with rice flour)! And the surf shop is super cute. Grab a bite to eat and sit at the little tables with the breeze blowing in and watch the tourists walk by. Staff is kind and helpful. Great vibe. Highly recommend!Oh, and they validate parking in the Sheraton.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free crepes!

I absolutely loved our treatment on the Surf Side and the Coffee Side. The crew at the shop made our vacation unforgettable. They were helpful at every stop. My daughter and I had a fantastic surf lesson. Over the years I have taken three orfour lessons total. This, by far, was the best. They got both my daughter and me up and riding waves. The smile on her face was the best part; honestly, I may have teared up a little. Not only did they get us up on some waves during the lesson, but I was also able to take the knowledge they gave me and use it. I spent another day of our vacation surfing on my own and caught quite a few waves. In addition to the lesson, I also got a history lesson. My instructor (I forgot his name; I'm terrible with names) talked about the history of surfing, Hawaii, and the native people of the island. To top it all off, they would be just as excited as we were when we caught waves. The experience really did make our trip.The service on the coffee side was just as excellent and the food was delicious!Thank you so much Big Wave Dave's!!!!

Nice multi purpose cafe. Food, coffee, paddle boards, surf boards, and souvenirs.Looking for gluten free crepes? YES and thank you! My oh my was it yummy! Fast service, and helpful staff.We also rented a paddle board for a couple of hours which was in great condition.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free crepes!

My son went out this morning. Had an incredible time. 1 on 1 lesson. Very easy booking, check-in, and appointment. His instructor was thorough. Professional and knowledgeable. Will definitely use them again.

My husband, daughter, and I were lucky enough to be the only people to sign up for our selected time slot on 26FEB. We basically received a private lesson from a wonderful human named Paulie. It was my husband and 10 year old daughter’s first time surfing. Both of which were not anticipating to love surfing as much as they did by the end (mostly thanks to Paulie and his amazing and personally tailored instruction).The lesson started in their surf shop which is found directly adjacent to their coffee shop. Paulie started with some basic water safety and then went into ground work - showing each person individually what it feels like to catch a wave.After, we walked to the beach and hopped in the water. While my daughter is an avid swimmer, Paulie made sure she was comfortable - even helping her to paddle multiple times.I literally cannot say enough positive things about Paulie. Because of him, my family and I are 100% going to take up surfing and I couldn’t be happier.Sorry for the long-winded review! Just know if you are looking in Waikiki to attempt surfing for the first time… THIS IS THE PLACE TO GO! :)

I signed up for a 1-on-1 surf lesson. My instructor was Raye. Not enough words to describe her: phenomenal, fabulous, patient, kind, extraordinary. We started out with the basics on land, then paddled our hearts out to get past the reef below us and get to the waves. Her main goal: stay relaxed and just have fun. Which wasn’t hard!! Thank you so much Raye!
