The BBQ Pork Plate was absolutely terrific! Much obliged to Chef T and the rest of the crew here! It's an awesome place to get some chow, whether if you're really hungry or if it is a snack. The folks here always do a fantastic job preparing and creating the delightful dishes here! Keep the awesome work folks! From Brient :-) !

This was a stop on a whim and we are so very glad we did stop. This was some of the freshest and tastiest Thai food we've experienced and Chef T and family were very welcoming. We will definitely be hitting this shack over and over.

Delicious and nutritious!! This is Thai-authentic cuisine as it can get. All the level of spiciness you like or non. You must try the energizing lemon juice. Jamieson and Pauline took my order and prepared our meal just in time. You must try this Thai Shack!! Parking available. This restaurant location is near Pear Harbor Hickam Base, near the Arizona Memorial, close to H201, H-1, and H-3 Hwy.

Really loved their açaí bowl. It reminds me of frozen grapes totally different than any açaí I’ve tried but delicious. Only thing is it says they open at 11 am so I waited till 11:30 and the guy was moving produce in but not open. So I grocery shopped and waited till 11:55 and they were still not open and the guy was still loading product in. I tried to ask him when they would be open but he had headphones in and could not hear me. Maybe I’ll get lucky and other time and they will be open.

I visit this spot on my lunch breaks often. They sell my favorite chicken panang curry on the island. Great flavor, reasonable portion, and garnished nicely.

Took 30 minutes on my lunch order with no line in front. When I asked for a cup of water they charged me 50 cents and then gave me a cup of ice. Food was average.

Hands down best Thai food I have had on the island. I am making this my new go to grab and go spot. Food is freshly prepared to order & no MSG or fish sauce used. Chef takes his time preparing each dish. It's worth the wait. Thai iced tea is excellent as it's real brewed Thai tea leaves & not the flavored powder mix other places use. If you want good healthy food done right check this place out. I love their Tom Yum soup & Surf & Turf noodle dish. I can't wait to try the other items on his menu.

I enjoy the food, there is quite a wait. I would suggest if you have other shopping to do, order the food first, then shop. If not, order ahead of time. I like the classic pad thai. The employees are attentive and friendly.

Their Pad Thai is authentic and truly delicious. Just ate at another Thai Restaurant and it was fancier but pales in comparison to the Thai food prepared at this tiny kiosk at the NEX. Tastes like the Pad Thai I have had in Bangkok. AND they do not add MSG--I just hate that stuff as it makes me so thirsty afterwards. Anyway you want some great Pad Thai come to Thai Shack! Also, try the curries and different unique drinks, like the Energizing Lemon Chia--so good. We really liked the green curry with chicken and lots of veggies, very satisfying and filling.

When I was looking around for something around the NEX, I saw Thai Shack on yelp and it was rated really well. I love Thai food so I decided to try it with my friend. We love splitting things so that we can try more than one thing so we got a super size açaí bowl and chicken pad thai. It was so busy because it was lunch time and there were a lot of people ordering. We waited a bit for our food so once I saw that they had made our açaí, I went up to get it while we waited for our pad thai. We ended up eating the whole açaí before our pad thai was ready. It was so hot outside so it was the perfect thing to help us cool down. It's definitely not like the traditional açaí but the fruits were really good. The pad thai was finally ready and we ate it pretty quick. It's a very big portion. I'll definitely be getting the pad thai again or maybe try the curry.

Scrimp Pad Thai. I think this version is better than the Thai food truck on the Hickham side. Would have liked more green onion, sprouts and egg. Overall it was good. It didn’t take me to Thailand or anything. It was enough for lunch and dinner.

Chef T makes fresh dishes that remind me of the best food stands in Bangkok and Chiang Mai. This is definitely authentic Thai cuisine, with good portions, and most importantly, very delicious! If you ask for Thai hot, it'll be Thai hot.

Great food, great crew! Fresh and tasty. Definitely should call ahead, waited at least 20 minutes for my order (Chicken Pad Thai), but it was worth it. Coming from Kailua, will for sure call ahead next time.

Very friendly staff. Went around 230 for a late lunch and ordered chicken pad thai. I liked how it came with peanuts, a side of cucumber and a lime for garnish. A tad salty for my liking but I also enjoy a sweeter style pad thai. Didn't take long to make and I like how it was made to order. I will most likely come back because the service was great and it's close to my house.

I love Thai food and they had a delicious panang curry. I had vegetarian with tofu. You get to choose your spicy level from 1-mild all the way to 10- Thai spicy. I normally like spicy but I know Thai spicy is another level spicy, the kind of spicy that burns your taste buds off, turns your mouth to lava(not fire), makes you sweat like your doing HIIT exercises in a steam room. But that's a 10 spicy level, and I like tasting my food so I went with a 6, but I think next time I'll try 7. The icing on the cake, the delicious Thai coffee made with non-dairy coconut condensed milk and coconut evaporated milk. It was so good! I'm definitely going back next time I'm in the area.
