The reason I'm giving this a star is because they did not update their price menu online- I order to go , so it was a little shock when my total was $18 plus for tofu kimchi friend rice . The food was absolutely good! And if I know the price that much, it would have been alottle different experience- I mention it to the lady tht work there (assuming it is their owner) but I feel like she miss understood why I brought up the fact that it's confusing for customers who never been to this restaurant and ohave the expectation of menu price online with what the actual price listed. It's a big difference surprises factor when it is $7 dollar differences . I know she isn't tech savy but , please someone in this restaurant need to update their menu prices please for future customer

Read the reviews and decided to walk two miles to this place from our hotel. It did not disappoint! The place was clean and neat, the woman (owner) working the front was warm and greeted us enthusiastically. We noted the place was full of regulars as she referred to everyone by name and the elderly clientele by Mr. or Mrs. and then their last name. While waiting for our food, I spoke with a woman my age who told me she is from California and comes to visit her parents regularly and makes it a point to stop here every time. She said I had found a gem of a place to eat. She was right! I ordered the kimchi rice with spicy chicken and the hub ordered the pork and chicken plate. We put our containers in our bag and made the two mile trek back to our hotel so we could eat our meals later after a dip in the spa. The food was absolutely delicious. It felt like I had taken food back from a friend's grandma's kitchen. The chicken tasted grilled and had a Smokey taste to it. The kimchi rice was delicious! We will be here another week and we will be going back on that 4 mile (round trip) trek because it was THAT good. On a side note, their ban-chan was beautiful looking and tasted as if had just been made. The spicy cucumber was crunchy and the taste was on point! I tried to get a picture of my husband's plate and his ban-chan selections but he tore into his food too quickly and I missed the opportunity.Highly recommend this place!

This is one of the best places I have ever eaten at. The owners are so nice and the food is some of the best I have ever had. You definitely get some authentic culture here as well which is very cool to experience.

Great teriyaki sauce on the beef, chicken and pork. So good with generous portions. They also have shrimp jun that I want to try. The lady working there is so sweet and a pleasure to talk to. 21.95 and worth every penny. I will definitely be back

Choi's is my go to comfort food! Not only does the food taste great but so are the side dishes (her japchae is the bomb!!) Since it's close to where I work, been a regular for quite sometime now. My favorite is the kimchi fried rice with cheese and kalbi AND marinated tofu lol ( I get the marinated tofu on the side). Hands down the best kimchi fried rice on the island! The portion is huge too! I can never finish it and would save some for the next day. I've also tried the shoyu salmon (my new fave) , spicy chicken and the squid. They have different options for mix plates but you can do a special order if you want your own options. And of course, Mrs. Choi is awesome! She always has a smile on her face even though it gets really hectic and busy during lunch time. She's so kind and she really cares about her customers.

I went here quickly after doing a delivery, and I absolutely loved the food there, it felt like eating at home. The atmosphere was very strange, but that's probably because I'm uncomfortable in big cities. An amazing place to get lunch, I'm coming back for more when I'm in the area.

Absolutely stupendous! Strongly suggest the kimchi fried rice! It has a kick but it's so good! Kalbi and mandu are must haves! Prob my favorite Korean spot in Honolulu. Bring the whole family!

I drive from Kaneohe just to get their BBQ Squid and Banchan. Aunty at the front is so darling and love talking story with her while I wait for my fresh grub. Hi his time I tried the Squid stir fry. Oh gees talk about Squid HEAVEN!! I devoured half of it in a snap.... Portions are BIG so I always plan on lunch/dinner left overs when I eat here. Only bummer, no restroom- but understandably most of these smaller mom n oops don't. Also sad are all the homeless sitting in front or across the street or entrance of this building. Anyhow that has nothing to do with this restaurant they are 100 double thumbs up from me. Again I drive far for them!!
