Finally a moment to enjoy... I have been wanting to visit here in Hawaii Kai Towne Center home to Costco and many wonderful local biz though this location doesn't give you the beautiful water views they dishes here are just does makes you go "aahhhh!" Surprisingly the dining space here is quite spacious as I walked in I was greeted and told that I may sit anywhere, did choose a simple small table against the wall and as I gazed at the menu which I was a bit disappointed that it didn't really list what's in each particular dish though we all know basically what it consists of, a reminder at times would be nice as I do tend to forget to request taking off certain garnishes that I didn't care for. I was really thinking of Pho went with the "Vermicelli Cold Noodle" it had to be the lemongrass chicken and spring roll and gosh yes it didn't disappoint, I initially dipped my cucumber in there to sample to sauce to then there it goes pour it all over! It did come with a garnish of nuts which the server asked if I was okay with which was nice and also green onion and I assume some fried onions as well which gave it a nice crunch. The noodle pull wasn't as phenomenal at it was all broken and made it quite difficult to pick up and eat wondering if that was the intention though I really didn't care for much of that. Chicken was flavorful along with the crunchy spring roll this bowl of yumminess gave me the energy I needed to get through my day. Thank you!

I liked dining at chopstick and rice. I think for what I was expecting, they actually pushed beyond that. The quality was consistent with their menu, and the atmosphere was open and welcoming. The waiters were very nice and helpful with making decisions. It was a wonderful experience

This is our go to pho spot in Hawaii Kai, generous portion, however they have a smaller menu... I wish they had fried rice, or Vietnamese crepes and more healthier vegetarian options. Quick service, lots of tables available whenever we visit.

FOOD- Our go-to lunch spot for PHO DIP SANDWICH! A generous amount sliced brisket, Thai basil, a few jalapeños, raw onion, and a Hoisin/mayo mixture sandwiched between fresh bread that is crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. This is served with a generous portion of hot PHO BROTH. DRINK- We love the freshly brewed drip coffee. They serve it over condensed milk. Once the coffee is done dripping, mix the coffee & condensed milk mixture and pour it over ice. So UNIQUE AND TASTY! You don't see this at many restaurants! SERVICE- A young boy and girl are serving/bussing all the tables. They work well together and manage to maintain EXCELLENT SERVICE between the two of them. Again, you don't get QUALITY SERVICE at many restaurants these days. AMBIANCE- A very SPACIOUS room with numerous tables for all party sizes. We never had to wait yet, there are always people dining in. BATHROOMS ARE CLEAN and everything seems well maintained. My only regret... not taking any pictures of my food. Food is always SO GOOD I don't even think about taking pictures until I'm done with my meal! YOU MUST TRY this excellent restaurant! We highly recommend!

Honestly it was worst restaurant experience ever. I totally disappointed and felt disrespected. When I came in to store, server said “to go?” like very rude attitude no smile but I answered “here” like normal. And server said “anywhere”.And when I seated, no one came to my seat. And I realize there is QR code to order online so I thought this restaurant system is self service style so I started scan QR code to order and about to place order but looked like that QR code is for to go. I really confused. So I wanted to ask question about order but servers were chatting, Also server didn’t server even water. At that time I thought this restaurant is self services style. I was waiting for several but they never showed up, of course no water.Water and water cups were just in side of me, and looked like self service one since I misunderstood this restaurant style is self service style( I experienced those kind of restaurants in Hawaii a lot) and a few water containers put in there and bunch of water cups put in there too. So I poured my water. Then finally woman server approached me and said “Don’t touch water” rude attitude twice.1, No severs come to my seat2, there were self order QR code at the table3, looked like self service waterBecause of those three points, I misunderstood. But servers treated me like weird guy, and said “Don’t touch water” . If I do server for customer, I say “sorry for late service. but server will be right with you soon, so please have a seat.” At least I say “please don’t touch my water” but she said “don’t touch water” like rude attitude. After that woman servers talked to men server and laughed about it.Finally I got a Pho, men server served me like throw dishes, that made big sound and felt like so disrespectful. Also he forgot to serve spoon so I couldn’t taste soup. And asked him like “Can I have spoon?” He throw that too, which was so uncomfortable. After that men server talked to other customer loud voice and laughed long time, which is acceptable for me(but I think it’s not professional one) unless he brought me check and to-go box.And women server ate food inside of restaurant in front of customer on business hour, I felt like very wired.I checked every customer’s review, other customer mentioned this point, Also several review said customer support were terrible. That’s why I rated 1 star for you guys. I totally uncomfortable and felt disrespect. I will never go back again, never ever.I often go 53 by the sea, signature prime like fine restaurant. They are really professional so I always tipping around 30% but this experience I would tip -30%.

We visit Chopsticks and Rice at least 3xs a month. The staff is efficient and friendly. My favorites are the Pho, bao bun appetizers, papaya salad, lemongrass chicken and MORE!!! It is very CLEAN too.

Food is awesome. But the way that the staff seats people is ridiculous. They "Reserve" larger tables that seat 6. On more than one occasion, we have gone there with 3-4 people and all of the smaller tables were full. NONE of the large tables were being used and we were told that we would have to wait to sit in the smaller tables (1-4 people) I asked if we could sit at a large table, they said no because they reserve them for larger parties.Tonight, we went with 5 people. All of the large tables were full. Some of the large tables that were being used had only 2 or 3 people sitting at them.Four smaller tables that sit 1-4 people were open and not being used. We were told to wait for a large table to open up. I asked if we could sit there, or even move tables together. They said no and blamed it on the owner, "Hong". We watched 4 seperate groups all be seated at the smaller tables before us, while we waited for a large table. It seems that we can't sit with large groups, But we can't sit with small groups either. I give up and refuse to play the game of trying to figure out when we can be sat and how many people with us will be the "magic number" to be seated. We walked out. Won't return... ever...

I opted for the tofu pho, and it was served hot and delicious. The balance of noodles, tofu, and broth was perfect, complemented by a pleasant inclusion of cabbage. I noticed they offer a vegetable pho, though unsure about customizing a tofu and vegetable combination. The traditional pho toppings--lemon, basil, bean sprouts, and hot peppers--were provided, all appearing fresh and well-maintained. The restaurant is spacious, open, and clean, and the service was both friendly and prompt.

Great Customer Service ! The Owner apologized for the wrong order placed and took it off the bill. We go there a lot and eat there quite often. I don't see business that care about the loyalty of customers. I continue to give my support and eat there. L like the ambiance . Next time I will post a picture.

Great food and easy to order from here. I have never been let down and they are consistent in food preparation. I recommend this place when you're craving some good foods. Enjoy!

I ordered my typical collagen fix - pho with brisket, tendon and tripe and was very pleased with presentation, taste, knife skills ( toppings cut aesthetically) and availability of my favorite condiments (not on table) a superior garlic chili sauce and pepper. It was the best pho experience I've had with the aid of clean pleasant surroundings and the noodles were not mushy at all.
