My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Cool Beans! The vanilla lavender cold brew and autumn spice cold brew were both wonderful.

If you're looking for coffee and a snack in downtown Honolulu/Chinatown, look no further than Cool Beans, the little coffee bar tucked away in the ARTS at Marks Garage. They have great coffee, a good choice of teas and bottled drinks, and amazing homemade brownies, custom oat cakes and other snacks, all at very reasonable prices. Nathan and Florie, the owner/chefs, are a delightful and helpful young couple and getting to know them, and their wares, greatly enhanced our recent exhibition experience in the gallery.

Cool Beans is a hidden gem in The ARTS at Marks Garage in downtown Honolulu/Chinatown. I discovered them while putting on an exhibit in the gallery and they are now my go-to place for coffee and amazing homemade brownies, custom oat cakes and a variety of teas, cold drinks and other snacks. Florie and Nathan, the owner/chefs are a wonderful young couple that really enhanced our show experience.

It was starting to get warm in the car while waiting for the Hubs to be done with his dentist appointment and lo and behold across the street Cool Beans caught my eye. I walked in and owners were very friendly, she gave me the spiel as to what they have, where they source the Beans from, and that they brew everything themselves. She mentioned that she has samples of what they had in the fridge but I already made up my mind it would be either the vietnamese coffee or the Honey cold brew. Decided on the honey cold brew, who doesn't like a little honey in the morning, yah you. Also picked up a pack of chocolate chip cookies after making sure they weren't the crispy kind. The honey cold brew was smooth and had the hint of honey sweetness. The chocolate chip cookies were a bit more on the cakey side with a touch of chewy but it paired nicely with my cold brew. All in all, glad to find another place in the downtown area to get a different brew other than Starbucks or Coffee bean.

Friendly service, nice shop and great hand-crafted snacks and drinks!!! Today I had a hot 12 oz Wailua Estate coffee... yummy!!! Also was offered a shot of cold-brewed Thai iced coffee as a sampler.... 2 Thai 4... surely a thirst quencher and pick me up. The owner also offered me a sample of Chocolate Chip Yum Snack... made daily by she and her husband. Opened for just 3 months... WoW... good job opening up NOW.....;-)

It's a coffee and tea shop located inside of Arts at Marks Garage, in the heart of Downtown. The area is a walk away from marukame udon (or Fort Street Mall), if that helps grasp a location! It's a quaint cafe that you can't miss while you're in there. As I've only had the Lilikoi tea, I can say, that it was a perfect refresher for a semi-hot day. All drinks were to-go style in bottles as shown in my picture, which is perfect for your walk around Fort Street or downtown, as it's capped AND sealed so no leakage while you're strolling. That was a nice factor, as I had walked to get my lunch, shop, and bused it back home so, that bottle was great to have (also seems reusable or can be repurposed!) I also picked up a Rice Krispie , which reminded me of the homemade ones you'd make at home! A thicker and better made sweet treat we all know and love. Oh! And service was totally sweet :3 I believe the person who rung me up had been the owner, and told me about how she and her husband make all drinks and snacks. Definitely a place to look out for if you're in the area!

Small coffee and dessert bar set up in Art at Mark's Garage. Last night I attended first Friday at the Art at Mark's Garage and blew past the art led by my nose to the delicious coffee aroma. Two types of Hawaiian grown coffee were available, I opted for the Waialua blend (versus Kona). Both were roasted by the owners friend. The coffee was . Delicious aroma, strong and smooth. No acidic aftertaste. Also available were cookies, snacks and bars. I chose a cranberry bar which was just the perfect level of sweet and tart. Wish I bought two.
