Really fresh and huge poke bowls! Generous portions and variety of fish and sauces. Good selection of drinks also. Everything was well priced for the portions and quality. The service was great, and our order was ready quickly. Nice selection of other menu items that looked just as great: bento'sashimi'and sushi.

Good is amazing and really delicious. The only reason why I only gave this restaurant 4 stars is because they forgot one of our bentos and another time it took them awhile to find our sushi platter order.

A close friend who is quite the Epicurean recommended Domo Cafe for takeout sushi on New Year's Eve. It was my first time to try it and when I called only 2 days before New Year's eve, I was told that they are so busy that the pickup time had to be 2:30 in the afternoon. I arrived promptly at 2:30 and they were super busy. The sushi platters were stacked four or five high in many locations around the entrance to the store. Everything is by phone number, not by name. The clerk was quickly able to locate my order by pickup time even though there were dozens of orders all around. I paid and was out of there in a few minutes. Great system. When I got home I was pleasantly surprised to have chopsticks, napkins, soy sauce, ginger, and wasabi all in a separate package. Sushi quality was very good. I'm usually not a fan of squid but it was cut thick and tender. Great stuff and strongly recommended.

Horrible horrible service. When I first was going to order, i said "hello" and they front lady said "Hold On!" Attitude from the beginning . I requested to have my food well done and they said no it's going to take too long. I offered to pay extra and she didn't accommodate me. As I started to look around the restaurant I noticed how filthy the place was and wasn't sanitary at all. Never coming back to this place again and would not recommend to anyone. 0/10 P.s the party I was with ordered their food and little to no surprise the food was ordered incorrectly.

Aburi's lover platter is divine!!! Get it! It's the best sushi I've ever had in my life.

You take chances with the run of the mill fast sushi places with their overly sweet sauce over their rolls or having very thin slices of fish with their nigiri, but Domo Cafe is different and better. Friendly service too! Parking is tight accommodating so many businesses.

Fish didn't taste fresh. I ordered a mini and regular bowl (see photo) and the fish portion appeared the same for both sizes. I pretty much paid for more rice in the regular sized bowl. Very disappointed.

Looking for a great sushi spot for lunch? Domo Cafe is perfect! The fish is fresh and the staff is very friendly. There are like bowls, bento specials with miso soup, sushi sets, sushi rolls, udon combos, cooked bowls, and salads.

It's been several years now since I don't work in the heart of Chinatown anymore. However, I still visit the area weekly and keep up with the businesses. Recently, I needed to pick up some food to bring over to my sister's place as her niece and family were coming to town from SoCal for a short visit. I wanted to get something local and to suit their palate so when advised they like sushi, I had my work cut out - - I'll get a sushi platter. I wanted something different from what I often see at get togethers, as well as supporting small businesses. I then recall Domo Café (DC) in Chinatown and glanced at their menu online. Party Tray #5 (Nigiri and Sashimi Trio) got my attention, and the decision was made. On one of my nights off, I trekked to Chinatown after work and scored street parking on Maunakea. DC is not what I remembered it to be - the doors were open and there were dining tables on both sides filled with customers eating. But then again, this was pre-COVID. This time, I noticed a neon "OPEN" sign with their doors closed and an unused sushi chef's counter on the right just as you enter. I had already decided what to order and it was good to see Queenie again. She recognized me and I advised her I needed a party tray for a potluck attended by 6 adults and 2 children. I placed my order for Party Tray #5 and received my receipt/confirmation via text. On the date of the event, I once again scored street parking on Maunakea and as I entered DC, I saw my party tray on the counter ready to go. They also provided a bag of pickled ginger and soy sauce packets. When I arrived at my sister's house, I opened the tray and it was colorful and nicely arranged. At first, I mistook the lemon slices as egg (tamago nigiri) and it brought a nice color contrast to the arrangement. Family members were all waiting for the sushi as after we took turns taking photos, they dug in and the nigiri and sashimi disappeared at a fast rate. Of what I sampled from the party tray, the hamachi nigiri exceeded my expectations. It was fresh and sliced at a thickness where I could appreciate the protein and was satisfied. To allow my guests enjoy, I decided to not eat any more from the party tray and ate potstickers instead. Overall, I am very pleased with the party tray from DC and wouldn't hesitate to order from them again. They do have a large selection and venture to their other options. NOTE: Maunakea Municipal Parking lot adjacent to DC and they allow a 15min grace period. Preorder your food for a quick pick-up.

This is the place for the freshest, most Ono Poke & Sushi. When I go to Chinatown to pick up Leis on Maunakea, Domo Sushi drop in, is a must! The rice is perfectly seasoned, not too sweet, but just right! A perfect match to the fish to create the magic. And the fish!!!! They use the best cuts. We had Salmon, Ahi, and Hamachi and Ebi. They just melted in our mouths leaving an empty space wanting more...

Been seeing platters of epic sushi pop up on a friends feed and had to try it! The platters are huge and affordable. The sushi is always good! The parking sucks. Though the fish is fresh! It's def worth fighting for parking. Call in your orders as platters take roughly a hour to prep. Overall one of the best places in the area for fresh take out sushi for the price!
