Stopped in for a team lunch and we had seven people including myself. Small hiccup to get started as after we had our menus we had to seek out our server as we had a time constraint. The food was outstanding. Our table had several different rolls. I never saw a steak and lobster roll before so that was a nice combo. Lobster tempura was perfection. I had Cherashi for my meal and it was a good selection of fishes and extremely fresh. Well done!

Fantastic food, salmon was super fresh!Recommend trying standard rolls as well as their fancy rolls! Service was awesome: Small mistake at the table led to 50% off of the bill - something I would not have expected. We‘ll come back!

Very slow service, waited like over half an hour to get our food and it's not even close to full house. But the sushi and donburi are very delicious.Parking: Lunch hour easy parking for free.

Slow service tonight, we got sat at around 630 and didn't leave until 845. Server was great I guess the kitchen/sushi and bar were backed up. Other than that food and drinks was great as usual.

One of my favourite restaurants on the strip! They have great selection to choose from. The lychee martini is a great cocktail to start the night with. I recommend making a reservation here for parties larger than 3 people. The restaurant isn't huge so it feels intimate. Almost everything on the menu can be shared. We tried the oysters and calamari this time. Don't be fooled by their small size, they were packed with flavor! The fried calamari isn't the usual breaded and friend calamari which was a nice change. The uni nigiri was delicious and hit the spot for my last meal in Waikiki.

I've been to this location a couple of times and it's been fantastic. The takeout has always been great I tried going in for the 9 PM until close happy hour. I got there about 9:35. Late I know but I had just gotten off work. I waited for 10 minutes to be told the kitchen is closed. I made eye contact with several servers and was told to wait. Really epic staff.

The food is always great, the service is fast and of the highest quality, the indoor and outdoor areas are very well furnished and well lit. Without a doubt my favorite restaurant on island. My only suggestion would be to make your sushi rolls a bit bigger.

Hot take, but this is my favorite restaurant in Hawaii. I think the fusion of old and new style sushi is as good as I’ve seen here. I personally like their spicy dishes, but you’re making a good decision with any of their new style rolls. God of fire is one of my favorites. Make sure and save room for dessert and have the tempura brownie. The presentation of the rolls is part of the allure, and the atmosphere is young, trendy, hip, fresh. Parking is typically valet only. Happy hour is really good if you can make it during that time.

First time in Doraku Sushi & Sashimi in Honolulu, Hi. We tried Sushi and Sashimi Deluxe, everything on that plate is sweet and fresh except for the uni; that Uni is NOT fresh. We tried scallops, that one tastes good as well as the God of fire roll also good. We tried this place because of the positive feedbacks on googlemaps, nothing extra except for the nice spot of the restaurant and ambience. The waiters here are nice, so nice it’s like they are in a hurry for you to leave; keeps coming back asking if we’re done with the plate (annoying). After clearing the table, asked us if we want to order something else. We were like, can we enjoy our meal there’s just only 4 customers; chill.

Doraku has good sushi, and I think their prices are at least comparable to their quality. However, I can't give them 5-stars because each time I've been here the music has been so loud. it's hard to have a conversation. Their service though was pretty good. they had knowledge about food allergies and reassured me they have no peanuts in the sushi and let me know what items do have but if you have confidence regarding your food, to me that must mean you trust your kitchen is clean enough and well trained enough in how to sanitize your kitchen to prevent cross contamination. food recommendation: surprisingly their vegetarian sushi. I'm not a vegetarian but it was the best sushi I had out of all the ones I tried here.
