The sandwiches here are great. They all seem to be a few dollars more than you’d expect but that’s Hawaii. Customer service is great, but there is always something off when I come here. Sale system isn’t processing gift cards, they are out of a lot of offerings, or something else. The tables always have crumbs on them and food takes a little long. The sandwich variety and quality keeps me coming back despite these inconveniences.

How would you rate an establishment that doesn't honor it's own gift cards because their point of sale machine is supposedly broken yet they can do every other transaction?? Secondarily, they don't even have available literally 1/2 the items on the menu. So NO I have nothing good to say about this pitiful excuse for a restaurant. There are dozens of better choices, a stones throw away. For example a food cout on the 2nd floor of H-Mart on the next block. Don't waste your time. I gave these guys 2 Weeks and 3 visits before writing this review. Get it together or Close, but don't take people's money for the gift cards and then not honor them. My card was $50 dollars. Do you have that money to throw away?

Our go to sandwich place! It can get a pretty pricey with drinks and sides but if you want a filling sandwich this place won’t disappoint you. I recommend sharing one sub if you do not like getting miserably full. Some subs are smaller in portions than others depending on what’s in it. I always order the Fun Goat and it’s just right.

Every time I visit Hawaii, I make it a point to stop by EARL. It never disappoints! My go-to is the French Dip, which I order every single time.Unfortunately, it was sold out during my recent visit, so I opted for the meatball sandwich and a burger instead. Both were incredibly delicious and left me completely satisfied. Although the lemonade I also love was sold out, my experience was still top-notch.

Great food, great service. I can tell the crew focused on quality here. My dad got the Reuben sandwich, my brother got the Earl Cheesesteak, my mom got the Mushroom burger and we shared Chicken Bacon Ranch Fries and Earl Fries. I got the Country Style chicken sandwich. The bacon ranch fries were amazing and the chicken sandwich was like Popeyes' but 1000x better. Everyone in my family was pretty satisfied with what they got. A small thing I didn't like is the lids for the sodas make this really annoying noise when you poke a straw through them and drink. Otherwise, great place to eat and you won't regret going here.

Service was quick and efficient. Was greeted in a friendly manner which is much appreciated. The ambiance is for the younger crowd which, if I were a few years younger, I would stay and eat my sandwich here. That is not the case, so I ordered takeout and I was NOT disappointed. We both ordered the pastrami single with waffle fries, extra crispy. Burger was DELICIOUS. Waffle fries were cooked PERFECTLY.what an awesome Sunday night dinner!!

Earl's Sandwich shop in Kakaako is a culinary revelation that's been my go-to since 2014, and it's about time I give it the praise it deserves. Nestled in the vibrant heart of Honolulu, this East Coast-style gem, crafts sandwiches that transcend the ordinary. The Avocado Banh Mi, a vegetarian symphony, hits all the right notes with its creamy avocado, zesty mayo, and a medley of crisp veggies, crowned by the vibrant flourish of cilantro. Meanwhile, the "Ruben not on rye" is a carnivorous opus, blending pastrami, sauerkraut, and a masterful array of flavors that culminate in a sandwich that's not just a meal; it's a journey through taste. Earl's Sandwich shop isn't just a pitstop; it's a culinary sanctuary where every bite tells a story of craftsmanship and passion.

The Earl double burger is so amazing I've had it several times with visitors. Any of the chicken is breaded perfectly. I've had the hot and the everything chicken sandwiches and can't choose. Waffle fries are also a must. I wish I could try everything. Forget 5 Guys for smash burgers. This is the place.

Edit: gave this place another shot and I’m thankful I did. Ordered the Italian Sub, and the Caesar Chicken wrap. Caesar dressing was completely different than the last time, and most importantly it has parm! Great wrap, could have used less croutons or omitted them. Will ask for that next time! Good on ya EARL.Old review: Fried chicken sandwiches were awesome, but the Caesar salad was a real bummer. Very sparse, commercial pre-made dressing with little flavor, and not even any parm on the salad. All for 16 bucks. Bummer as everything else was good. Make some house dressing, or spruce the commercial stuff up with some garlic and worcestershire sauce at least!

I'm going to start off by saying that the 2 stars given is strictly for the employees that were running the front. They were VERY nice. They were obviously stressed out that the food was taking a long time to be made. I'd like to think that they were dealing with some "not so responsive" cooks behind the counter. Anyway, this was our first time here. I am so very sad to say that the burgers we ordered was the worst burgers we have ever had. They were very cold when they got served to us, and there was zero flavor on the burgers itself. We had to douse them in whatever sauces they had available. We had 3 Earl burgers, 1 Mushroom Swiss, and 3 Earl Fries. 2 of the burgers were raw & the fries were cold as well. I could not even finish my burger it was just so disappointing. And we paid $80 for it all. I'm happy to say that we will NEVER go to Earl's again.Update: Thank you so much Justin for your kind words. I will always back up the Customer Service aspect of your establishment. Take care & I wish you all the best!

One bite and you will fall IN LOVE. This is one of the few places I've been where I literally took one bite and my jaw dropped because I couldn't believe how good my sandwich tasted. I don't know how they do it, but they consistently craft the most delicious sandwiches I've ever had. 100/10 would recommend to anyone and everyone!!
