Visited here a week after dining-in was lifted as a walk-in after 20:00.Was with a guest. We were check into a booth separated from others. Receptionist and waiters wore gloves and mask. There was a hand sanitizer upon entry. But wasn't check to see if we had a temperature I am a repeat customer.

I truly love the food here! I've only been here twice, but both times every bite was delectable. The sushi is so fresh and flavorful, and they have many different varieties. I can't wait to come back and try it again.

Authentic izakaya dining. Parking is tight so come early to find a space.

The service is always great . You get the full Japan experience there. Everything is good and comes Izakaya style. Perfect for sampling a little of everything. They are known for their homemade tofu in three styles. A lot of the items come from Japan including Suntory beer!

In my opinion still the best place on the island for fresh and reasonable priced chu toro sashimi that melts in your mouth. The food here is always fresh and the flavors and textures are spot on. Its one of 60 other locations in Japan, so that tells you it must be popular. The dessert is light and smaller portion but worth it!

It's either the restaurant is going to the bottom of the hill already or that it has new ownership and it is just bad and deceptive! I placed an order for delivery tonight on yelp.com for a total of 8 items, 2 of the items were tempura (mixed vegetables, and shrimps) and they claimed they stop having tempura on the menu and so no tempura ! Why do you still have these items on your menu ? Secondly, I ordered "Negitoro" as shown on the menu with picture: it comes as 4 pieces of sushi rolls and 2 pieces of uni on rice. The order came as 6 pieces of sushi rolls and 1 piece of unagi ! A dis-honest business in my opinion. See my pictures. I also ordered spider roll but then the delivery guy brought me dynamite roll instead! I told him I did not order dynamite roll so I refused and return this item. The sushi are tasteless. The only thing is decent is the tofu salad and I would not come back to Gazen ever again !

We came here looking for fresh tofu and we fOund it. This was definitely a local restaurant with local vibe. Started off with tofu sampler and the fresh volcanic saLt. We had the hamachi yellowtail.carpaccio , great daikon salad , agedashi tofu ( still dream ) collarbone sampler, unagi rolls and toro rolls downed with good beer. Everything was so tasty and unique and all during happy hour so the bill was very reasonable ! Can't wait to return when in town!

Been here a few times before... tonight we had the Spider roll, beef tongue, nigiri trio, and one of the specials Salmon Oishi Sushi which my BF really liked. Service is average buut has to ask for hot tea refill twice and for glasses of water. Place is clean, little noisy, pretty busy and lots of Japanese National people (must be good right if they all coming to eat?)

Large space with parking lot. We went here for the NYE dinner and we were able to score a reservation very last min. Service was good and food was delicious. Well priced and menu had a lot of variety. If you are large party and have kids etc there is zashiki (Japanese room) available. Make sure to reserve in advance if you want to sit there!
