This place is great! Came here for an early dinner and got seated right away. The servers are friendly and food came out fast. Our table ordered the steamed gyoza and three rolls. The rolls were a decent size so enough to share. My favorite was the Avenger roll. This place is pretty popular because when we left, all of the tables were filled. I'll definitely be back to try more items.

After flying in, we were all set to dine at Ninja Sushi but ended up at Ginza Sushi instead--a delightful twist of fate! The sushi here is absolutely wonderful. We were quite hungry, and everything we ordered was delicious enough that we left no trace on our plates. The staff at Ginza Sushi made our experience even better. Everyone was incredibly kind and the restaurant itself boasts a lovely decor that enhances the dining atmosphere. However, it's worth noting that there's no bathroom inside the restaurant, which was a bit inconvenient. Despite the bathroom situation, I highly recommend Ginza Sushi for anyone in the area looking for quality sushi served with a smile. It's a great dining spot we stumbled upon and we're so glad we did!

We eat here all the time. Food is always good. Friendly service. They often throw in some little extra things like free gyoza or a treat for our kids.Pro tip: they don't give pickled ginger unless you request it, so if you like that, make sure to ask.Kid-friendliness: The manager is always nice to the kids and gives them a little bag of fruit snacks or throws in extra ice cream. They also have plenty of high chairs and booster seats.

Really good, fresh, not pretentious, food. Great value, too. It's a a street front restaurant but don't let that dissuade you. Enter and enjoy. You may have to wait some because there are not a lot of tables, but it's worth the wait. Food was excellent! Service was excellent. Left with a smile on my face as my wife and I love authentic sushi.

Initial thought: give this sushi joint a 3 star review, but the server was really nice and cracked a few jokes, so I'll add another star. We must've come at an off-peak time, because no one was seated when we arrived. After us, a few more tables were occupied, but it didn't get too busy. However, I will say that the noise from other tables tend to ricochet off the walls, so you'll definitely hear everything the people around you are talking about. I kind of find this factor to be quite annoying since I can't focus on my own table's conversation. The banquet section is a bit of a tight squeeze, especially with the back pillow. I get that they're just trying to add some additional comfort while sitting there, but it makes the space a bit too snug to sit down. We had to remove them in order to dine comfortably. Like I mentioned earlier, the server was very friendly and made us laugh a few times throughout our meal. I had the salmon lover and Alaskan roll, and while they were tasty, the slices of salmon and avocado were quite thin for the price you're paying. I'm glad I didn't get food poisoning from here, but I did feel a bit nauseous from the fish while walking around the shopping center after lunch. Price wise, I don't think it's worth a trip back. For lunch, our total came to $121 and some change...like what?! It's not like we're dining at a 3 dollar sign restaurant in Waikiki or Kahala. This was just for our meals, no beverages, apps, or dessert. I don't even want to think about how much it would have been for dinner.

Nobu who??? YOU.HAVE.TO.COME.HERE!!!This place is seriously incredible, I would venture to say this is the best sushi we have ever had, let alone on the island. We are here visiting my MIL and we have certainly found our #1 sushi spot. The atmosphere was perfect, truly a little hole in the wall.We ordered the Salmon Lover, Ahi Combi and the Sushi/Sashimi Deluxe. We also were recommended to order the Blue Fin Tuna, which we did, and it was phenomenal! This was a bit of a splurge & well worth it. We also tried the lychee & white peach cold sake, which were both delicious and refreshing.Russell is such a gem of a person, you can truly tell he loves what he does. He was very accommodating, made wonderful recommendations and explained the history & challenge fishermen go through to catch a Blue Fin tuna while we enjoyed every bite! The quality of the fish was nothing short of outstanding. My husband and I have enjoyed dining at Nobu a handful of times (NY and Las Vegas) and Ginza Sushi is an equal (if not better) competitor to those dining experiences for us.We left with full bellies, happy hearts & we will be back!! Thank you Russell & Ginza Sushi crew for giving us the best welcome back to Oahu. Mahalo!!

After reading Yelp reviews we dicided to try this place out and had a late lunch for three. No crowd and seating was open so we pulled up and ordered. the food is fine, but not memorable and the pieces of raw fish were much too thin to have a good mouth feel. Rice on sushi rolls and sushi was fine but the bowls of rice were not fresh or flavorful and seriously affected the meal. Miso soup was good but the edamame was not warm or salted and if they had blanched it first and salted it it would have been hotter and greener with much better flavor and visual appeal. The attention to detail is missing here and so for us, we will not return. Again, food is okay, fish is cut too thin and rice is not fresh. For $50 each at lunch with tip, that is not a good value for us.

Best takeout sushi! The restaurant is small so I've always ordered to go- why not when the beach is a block away and you can take your sushi to eat there. The owner is super friendly and accommodating. The rolls are delicious, the tempura is light and crispy. Lunch orders get a little chocolate which is a nice touch :)

Our lunch selections were fresh, tasty and very well priced. Thank you Russel, we'll be back! Bruce

I'm being generous giving 4 stars mostly because I stopped here just a little hungry and just got a rainbow roll. The fish was fresh but my main issue was the size of the fish on each piece was so small. I know rent at Ward Center must be expensive but jeez disappointing. Some pieces were like the size of a nickel. I had the same roll last week at Chiba-Ken, yes $2 more expensive but better value as it had nice thick pieces of maguro etc. I don't plan on returning just based on the value.

Plenty of parking was indeed a highlight of our experience at this establishment. However, the overall experience fell short in terms of food, service, and ambiance, making it challenging to recommend to friends and family.Regarding the food, the Omakase sushi priced at $29.00 seemed reasonable, but it was disappointingly made. Each piece lacked cohesion, with the rice and fish separating. The quality of the fish did not seem to justify its price. The miso soup lacked consistency and leaned towards being overly salty. The salad dressing was overly drenched, making it barely edible, and the edamame was undercooked and lacked seasoning. In terms of service, while the waiter was pleasant, their performance did not meet the standards that would justify an 18% gratuity tip. Perhaps the need for multiple water refills due to the excessively salty food contributed to this perception. As for the ambiance, there was nothing authentically Japanese or atmospherically special about the restaurant. The design felt clumsy, and the greasy floor was a significant disappointment, making the dining experience unpleasant due to chairs sliding around uncomfortably.Overall, while the ample parking was a positive aspect, the deficiencies in food quality, service, and ambiance make it difficult to recommend this establishment to others.Parking: Plenty of parking. The highlight of the experience. The food, service, and ambiance were all less than just okay. To be honest, it will be very difficult recommending friends and family to this establishment. The Food - Omakase sushi for $29.00 seems reasonable. It was clumsily made. Each piece separated (rice from the fish). The quality of the fish is reflected on its price. The miso soup lacked consistency as I felt it be a bit rich in salt. They drenched salad dressing was barely edible_only ate half. The edamame was undercooked and unseasoned. The Service - The waiter was nice enough, but did not meet any specific appreciative levels that commanded an 18% gratuity tip. Perhaps it was all the overly salty food that required him to come replenish our water intake several times during the lunch course. The Ambience - There was nothing authentic or atmospherically special that screams Japanese dining at the restaurant. It was simply clumsily designed. The biggest disappointment was how the floor was greasy, sliding the chair around. It felt unpleasantly unkept.

The service was excellent, as our server's name, I believe was Kai. That's what makes or breaks a restaurant sometimes and differentiates a *** three star rating from a **** four or ***** five star review. Kai's professional approach, attention to detail and friendly "aloha" disposition made for a very enjoyable and pleasant dining experience. Mahalo, Kai. The food is excellent. Everything tasted fresh and delicious. The prices and portions were fair and reasonable. Parking was somewhat easy in the provided lot.

$6 toro!!! Most amazing sushi I've had and really great price point for the quality you're getting. The place is clean and not too packed. Business is family owned and owner is very friendly.
