Visited Golden Pork Tonkotsu Ramen Bar recently and I've got to say, the flavors here are a real journey for the taste buds! The original tonkotsu broth was rich and deeply flavorful, offering a creamy and hearty experience that I absolutely loved. I also tried the spicy flavor broth, and while it packs a punch with its heavy spiciness, I found myself leaning more towards the original flavor for its pure, unadulterated richness.The chicken karaage, on the other hand, was a bit on the dry side for my liking. It's not a deal-breaker by any means but something for the kitchen to note.Overall, this place serves up some seriously delicious ramen with broths that are bursting with flavor. It's a solid choice for any ramen lover out there. I'm giving it a well-deserved four stars. Highly recommend trying the original tonkotsu broth if you're visiting for the first time!

Today was a perfect day for ramen so my family decided to hit up Golden Pork. It wasn't very busy when we arrived and the server suggested we sit at the table nearest the door. It was a bit chilly there being that we would be sitting close to the air conditioning unit. We ended up moving to the counter. The place doesn't have the best ambiance. It is pretty dark with its black walls and black floors, not to mention the floors are really sticky too.We started with some apps. We got charsiu sitting over shaved cabbage, gyoza, edamame..all were great!My fiancé and my dad both got the classic tonkotsu and they enjoyed their ramen. The broth was very flavorful.I decided to be adventurous and get the tsukemen. The noodles were clumped together. Dipping it in the broth could not even separate these clumpy noodles. And even though the broth was flavorful, the broth didn't stay hot for very long. I should have stuck with the ramen on this rainy day.I definitely had fomo this visit. Next time I will stick with my usual tonkotsu ramen. Not sure if I will come back here though:/

My favorite ramen spot. Off of South King, a Tonkotsu (Not Tonkatsu lol) based soup. Rich yet not too rich creamy soup with the right amount of saltiness. My go-to is the original Golden Pork Classic. I prefer the ramen over the tsukemen, but both are equally good. More for preference. They have delicious sides like gyoza and some rice bowls so if the ramen is enough, they have you covered. Parking can be a little hard because itbis a little narrow getting in. But street parking is an option so not a big deal.

Excellent hidden gem! A bit out of the way for most tourists but that was good for us because if this place was in central Waikiki, we’d never get in! Menu is fairly extensive. We had the spicy red miso dragon ramen, fried chicken and one pork bun between two of us. It was so good! We got there at 5:30 on a Saturday and were seated immediately (2 people). It was much busier by the time we left 1 hour later, but still had seats available. Service was excellent - friendly, knowledgeable and fast. Prices were also excellent - this must be the last affordable restaurant in Honolulu. Overall, this place is awesome and we can’t wait to come back!!
