I've driven by Harry's Cafe hundreds of times and its blaring sign at the corner always sticks out amidst all of the industrial buildings in the area. My intrigue got the best of me one morning and a phone order quickly ensued. The pancakes were simple and straight forward. Rather large, fluffy, and a beautiful brown exterior and a pillowy soft center. Slathered up with some butter and syrup, it will definitely hit the spot. The corned beef hash loco moco was decent, but the corned beef patty had a scosh too much pepper that left a bit of a spicy bite that negated the really flavorful gravy. If eggs are your thing, the fried rice omelette was a pretty respectable choice with a pretty mean fried rice set between some fluffy eggs. The portions are pretty decent and will fill a pretty heavy appetite. Get a few and share so you can get a bite of everything with your socially enclosed circle of friends. Prices are pretty reasonable and the wait times not too bad. Call ahead and phone your order in if you want to speed it up and there is a small lot to park or a few street stalls to grab your bites and be on your way.

Cash only and take out only. During this pandemic, we've been trying to support local as much as possible. But we forgot about our longtime favorite breakfast spot, Harry's Cafe. We've been loving this place for years. Irregardless of the street parking only, cash only and, now, takeout only restrictions this place is still a gem. Their homemade corned beef hash is the best around! Seasoned perfectly and nicely sized! Get in on their fried rice. It's loaded with bacon, sausage, but, sadly, no peas. That may be good news to some. If you like gravy, and theirs is good, get the the corned beef hash loco moco! Everything on the menu is good but if you're an early bird, get one of their daily breakfast specials. Yum!

Came in to buy something today and the owner Harry, butt in my conversation with my friend. And thinks he was funny. When I did not respond, he told my friend, "ohh she still does not get it"(While looking at me). I looked at him and I said, "ohh I get it, I just don't think it's funny". And this owner still does not want to stop talking and being mean to us and kept talking while we walked away. Do not ever do business with this guy ever again. Very rude to his customers and very unprofessional. We never ever asked him and we never even talked to him.

Everytime I come here I order Kristys Omelette and my boyfriend orders the Boneless short ribs with Mac salad and rice. Also their French toast. Also I eat my omelette with roasted potatoes. It's so good!!! Not to mention the awesome Siracha tobasco sauce!!

(Living w/Covid Series) Stopped by Harry's Cafe after the Kakaako Farmer's Market for breakfast. To cope with Covid times: masks are required; most tables are put away, although there are a few socially distant to dine in; hand sanitizer is available; and staff uses masks and gloves. Ordered the corned beef hash breakfast that comes with 2 scoops of rice and 2 eggs your way. Added a side order of Portuguese sausage. Total was about $15, average these days. Taking it back home my mouth was salivating for the whole trip back due to the wonderful smell! It was a great weekend indulgence! As good as it was, looking forward to trying the Monday thru Friday breakfast specials, only during 5-8 am. Fried rice, 2 eggs, and protein for $5.85! Will keep Harry's on rotation, repeat and recommend!

Another COVID takeout experience!I've seen Harry's Cafe many times when driving but never stopped in for a meal...until now.I was perusing Yelp to find a place to get some local food - seen that they had Homemade Corned Beef Hash Loco Moco on the menu and knew I had to try it.I called in my order, she let me sub the white rice w/kim chee fried rice and I headed down. For some reason I thought you could park on the corner but there isn't really any parking other than on the street. There are sandwich signs next to some parking meters indicating it was a tow away space but the date of the period ended in June...it's August...so I went for it.The plate was heavy and she's taking cash only. The corned beef hash is definitely homemade there were pieces of fat and the connective tissue but the taste was good. The kim chee fried rice was good, I just wish there was a little more kim chee in it.Overall, not bad, but I think I would really like breakfast from here...pancakes sound good!

Super ono breakfast, local style! Cash only. I had the two eggs, Portuguese sausage, and fried rice for $6 including tax. Very good. Check them out!

First time getting food from this place. Had the roast pork plate. At first glance the plate looked loaded with pork. Under the pork was a lot of rice. Thirteen dollars for the this plate. Also the roast pork was shredded like kalua pig. The pork itself was tasty, but for me the gravy wasn't to my liking. Stay safe and support local.

Pass by this place many times when were in the Kakaako area going to our favorite Lins snacks or just driving by. So finally I told my husband lets stop by and try um. Well we ordered the roast pork plate. Its a lot of $13.00 and naturally social distance of course and mask has to be worn. They have there daily specials in front of the entrance but so much I couldn't make up my mind and sorry forgot to take the picture of the board. I think its run by Korean the server was the one that went in the back made my plate. Inside had 2 bench tables and the counter sat maybe 8 at the most. The plate was overly overflowing with the brown gravy had rice under all of the pork and scoop of corn. The gravy was good but and the end it was kinda sweet tasting. The pork was tender but like my husband said it was like pulled pork texture. I think they are noted for there breakfast even though the menu for lunch was a lot. Next time well try the breakfast

Always our favorite place for breakfast. They have maybe a table or two right now for dine in. Food and drinks are mostly served on paper utensils which is fine , that hasn't changed the tastiness of the food. We had our usual but I forgot to take pictures but trust me the food is still the same!!
