The main reason why I even visit the farmer's market is because of Izu's Mochi. The best time to visit is first thing in the morning to ensure best parking and best selection. Also be sure to not park in other businesses' parking lots to avoid an unplanned tow to the yard. Izu's Mochi is always such a perfect gift to give and receive. When you support this business, you know you won't be disappointed from the service and aesthetic presentation.

She makes the best tasting mochi on the entire island of Oahu. I come here on Saturday morning just to buy a ton of her assorted variety of mochi! It is the best ever! If you are ever visiting Hawaii this kakaako farmers market is where you will find her booth! My fave is the peanut butter chocolate center filled mochi! Her kinako mochi is sooo good too! The strawberry Aukai bean filled mochi is delicious! The other flavors are amazing too! I will always come here and support her business! It is the BEST!

Not your ordinary mochi...Izu's is found here bright and early at the Kaka'ako Farmers Market every Saturday and there's always a long long line which deters me and seeing each item sell out one by one on the regular.Today as I decide to arrive early was delight to see practically no one and decided to peek what they had to offer. The varieties of Mochi is the fun part the case which holds the filled mochi with various flavors are $3 with the exception of Azuki Strawberry the also have mini Mochi variety pack that are bite sized and super adorable and what I got today is their chi chi dango...matcha of course.Great prices with super fun flavors is why they're rock stars and so excited I secured a pack to start my weekend. The vibe here is a delight and this freshly made treat is not to be missed.Thank you!

Had been wanted to try them for awhile and finally I went to farmer's market early today and when I stopped by, there is no line and still have a variety left! I just opt for one flavor this time - matcha. $3 for a Mochi is pretty standard price, the Mochi skin is soft and chewy, the cream inside is a lot and I can actually taste the matcha, unlike some place that said matcha flavor but only can taste sugar. I would be back to try other flavors and recommend!

On my visit to HI, I planned to visit both the Kaka'ako farmers market and the one at KCC and I'm super glad I checked out the Kaka'ako one first before most of the flavors sold out! Izu's Mochi is hands down the best thing I ate during my week on the island. Firstly, the flavors go beyond the usual matcha and strawberry daifuku; in addition to tropical flavors, they also have chocolate ones. Secondly, the texture is lovely and better yet, the flavor is not too sweet. I have to say, I prefer this to Fujiya which leans toward the sweet side. They also package in little boxes of 4, 6, or 10(?) if you want to give them as a gift. I bought them in the morning, stuck them in the fridge before checking out of my hotel, and they survived a flight without issue (as long as you keep the box fully upright at all times, even the beautiful designs on top stay intact). My family back in California enjoyed them too!

- Overall: I rave about Izu's mochi to anyone who will listen. LOVE their mochi. Locally owned company, the owners are so friendly. So many amazing flavors, perfect texture of the mochi, really great mochi to filling ratio, and all at a great price! Only sad that I have to wait till Saturday each week to get more! They are located at the Kakaako Saturday morning farmers market in the most makai (ocean side) of the market. Go early otherwise they usually sell out by 11 or 12:00!- Parking: Street parking can be a little tight since it's full of farmer's market goers!- Wait time: Usually a very long line, about 5-10 min wait.- What we ordered: large sized daifuku mochi! These were $5 each and contain a whole strawberry inside that was very sweet! They also make a medium size which is $3 with a half strawberry inside. I've tried pretty much all of their flavors so far, and all their mochi typically is ~$3 a piece. My favorite flavors are the cookie and match ones! They last pretty good in the fridge too. They also take custom orders so great to give as gifts or for special occasions.

I have been buying izu mochi for as long as they have been at kakaako farmers market. Lately, they've been introducing new flavors and each new flavor I've tried hasn't been to my liking. New flavors are $3 and older flavors are $2. I bought two sets of eight $2 mochi's. I know my total should've been $32 the man husband) charged me $37 instead. I paid walked away and I kept think about my total. Went back to look at the prices and I bought only the $2 items, so I discreetly went on the side to tell the man (husband) showed him all my mochi I purchased that he overcharged me $5. He said I'll give you back the $5 I said it's ok I just want you to know that you overcharged me. He said no take the $5 because "it happens all the time !" WTF ! It's all about the the principal and the integrity, didn't take it back. I will never go back ! I'm sooo sad because I love supporting local. He should know his prices before opening for the day. To everyone purchasing, try totaling up your purchase while waiting in line because I know there's A LOT of over charges if he said it happens all the time.

Amazing. In the bigger section of the market. Takes credit cards.

One of my favorite vendors at the Kakaako Farmers Market. If you like mochi and other Japanese sweets definitely consider checking them out as they normally sell out of mochi before the end of the market. As they offer a variety of flavors, consider following their Instagram so you know their offerings and can plan out what you’re going to order.

Found Izu's Mochi on Yelp and was lucky enough that Izumi is available for an order while we were in O'ahu. I ordered some azuki, kinako and Kona coffee mochis and brought them back to Cali with me. They were all amazingly delicious and I love that none of them was too sweet (it was just the perfect sweetness for me). The Kona coffee filling was out of this world! Izumi was super thoughtful and froze the mochi's for me so they can go on the 5 hour flight. I wish i had brought more back!!

Fresh, soft, chewy mochi that's some of the best on Oahu. We loved the chi chi dango (Lilikoi was incredible) and all of the filled mochi flavors were lovely. We especially enjoyed the little mochi balls ($5 for a variety pack) which made sharing easy.

Hands down best mochi I've had!! I was obsessively looking for strawberry/red bean mochi and was so happy to stumble upon her stand at the farmers market. They are so fresh and perfect.. and I don't normally like mochi, but I realized it's bc they're not this fresh :) go early bc she sells out quick and make sure you're going to the right stand at the farmers market.. there's another mochi one, but it can't even compare! The owner and fam are super nice, you can also special order and she can either deliver or you can meet her somewhere for pick up.. I miss these so much!

Some days, they run out of stock super early at the Kakaako Farmer's Market and I can see why. The mochi is soooo smooth and soft, and the fillings are so fresh, well balanced and on point. DO IT!

A friend first bought me Mochi from here and I loved it! This morning I ventured out to the Kakaako Farmers Market that opens at 8 am on Saturday mornings at Ward to check out the Izu Mochi booth. Their booth is on the ocean side of Ala Moana blvd/Ward of the farmers market. You'll see it as the farmers market is small enough to find them. The line wasn't too bad about 9 am, there were about 12 people in line in front of me. The line moved quickly, I waited about ten minutes and was so worth the wait. Each Mochi is $2 and they have containers which perfectly fits six Mochi.I got the okinawan sweet potato and the peanut butter. Both were amazing! Super soft fresh Mochi and the inside filling is not overly sweet. It's an indulgent Mochi with the fancy topping they put on each one. I've previously tried the Azuki bean and chocolate cookie which was really good too. Im a Mochi lover and have to give this place 5 stars for quality, taste and freshness! I'll head out to the farmers market regularly now just to get this Mochi!
