The truffle smash burger was the best I've ever had. I knew the food was great when I saw what had to be the longest line at the Framers Market. If you are visiting Honolulu please stop by and do wait, I promise it's worth it.

bruh broke da Mouf!! Gotta get early. They're open 8-12 at Kaka'ako market every Saturday. We were lucky to be the last customers as they ran out!!! Delicious caramelized onions on a perfectly grilled smash burger. Truffle sauce was on point. Fries were crisp and delicious. Put this at the top of your list of "must try"

Food was awesome! Will definitely be back. The burgers and fries are very rich, and not for the faint hearted :)

This was a long overdue review when they had their lunchwagon and popped up at farmers market. This was my go-to! Very much missing the Italian cream soda and tempura calamari and broccoli!

I'm gonna give my honest opinion/review. Wanted to come here cuz I see a lot of people hyping this place all over social media. Finally got the chance to go here one Saturday! Placed my order waited for about 30 mins for my order to come out. The burgers I would give it 2 stars out of 5. I honestly think I could make it at home. Maybe even better?!? The fries/animals fries is a solid zero. The cheese and beef was cold and tasted funky. The system there is a zero. The workers were running around like chicken with their heads off. Overall, prolly my 1st and last time here. The burger were alright but I wouldn't wait nor pay $18 for. Mahalo

Went to the Kakaako Farmer's Market and decided to try this smash burger after hearing so much about it. There is a line, which usually means its something worth waiting for. The line moves fast as they're just taking orders. They're very nice and pleasant and all working hard. The longer wait is for your completed order. This took about 20-30 minutes since they can only make about 20 burgers each time on the grill. The burgers were really good but don't think it was worth $18. There are a lot of good burgers out there and for this price there are others that you could enjoy in a nicer setting without the long wait. All in all a fun morning though and I'm glad I tried their famous smash burger. It's good to try it but not sure if I would wait in two lines again just to eat one.

I literally couldn't find one single thing to complain about ... you will wait but it's due to the amount of customers not the lack of production . Burger patty itself was seasoned the solo is so Sutton and meshes well with the cheese for a creamy delicious base . The cheese even toasts a little so you have a bit of crunch and the fries are just as good literally you can order anything and it'll be amazing . I am a fan 100% customer service and patience was amazing !

Joja Smash Burgers - the Instagram legend lives up to the hype! Discovered this burger maestro online, and following him to the 'What the Truck' event was worth every second. Even arriving 35 mins early didn't save me from a 25-min burger wait, but oh boy, was it worth it! Freshly cooked, flavorful, and solid. If you want a taste, arrive early or prepare for a wait - your taste buds will thank you!

Arrived at What the Truck at 3:30pm (official start time is at 4pm), and there was already a line for JOJA's. Since we were here, we decided we had to check it out. Waited in line for about an hour to place an order and then another 45 minutes for our order to be ready. The burgers and truffle parmesan fries all arrived hot and fresh. Fries were hot and crispy - subtle truffle flavor, could've used a little more parmesan. As for the burger, soft pillowy bun and full of cheese. The burger was moist and had the bite from being smashed. However, to us, the flavor was lacking somewhat. Truffle flavor, again, was subtle. More like a 3.5 out of 5. Glad to have given them a try, but don't think it was necessarily worth the wait.

Delicious and worth the wait. If by chance you don't finish your burger, it reheats very well. Bun wasn't soggy even with reheating. Tasted like when I first got the burger. I would have ordered another one if I knew that. Wait is long but you can go walk around the farmers market and come back. Very casual ambiance. I recommend going early! I wish I lived here because I don't think I've ever tasted anything close to this burger. It's a must if you're in Honolulu.
