Fantastic! Went with a friend and everything was delicious. We didn't even try the ramen lol! Will be back.

Stopped in after a hair appointment for a quick snack. I ordered the chicken karaage and garlic gyoza. Both came out pretty quickly. Chicken was crispy and flavorful. The gyoza were loaded with crispy fried garlic and really delicious. Service was very friendly. I have heard great things about their ramen so next time I will have to try.

Saw amazing reviews so was super excited to try this place. First impression was how small the place was, luckily we got there on a good day where we were able to find seating for four. The food came out quickly. The noodles were really good, but the tan tan man tasted very similar to peanut butter which was odd. Lastly the service was not great and was not impressed with this location.

I tried Junpuu when it first opened and back then I thought it was decent. Since then they've improved a lot. I tried the garlic tonkotsu ramen and the noodles are just right (firm). The texture and firmness are perfect and the broth is rich and creamy but not too heavy. One thing that sets Junpuu apart for me is they give just the right amount of broth. Most ramen spots I go to either give too much broth that you can't finish or not enough broth. The location is decent with lots of parking. The decor and atmosphere are pleasant. The staff are friendly. Would recommend to everybody.

Oops - ate a bunch before taking a my obligatory food pic! Ramen was very good - and since I was dining alone I people watched and took a note that everyone was eating ramen the same way. So now I know what appears to be the right or acceptable way. This place is close to home and I will be back to try some other options.

Good ramen and gyoza. I like gyoza that has some vegi in. The pork meat in the ramen had no meaty smell so it was great.

Early dinner (5pm) with a friend. We didn't have to worry about parking because the gate was already up. We were the first ones there and were nicely greeted by the staff and (I think) owner. We both had the garlic Tonkotsu ramen and shared an order of takoyaki and gyoza. We enjoyed the meal and finished everything. When I consider some of the negative comments in other reviews, I think it is a matter of preference. Service was attentive and we were finished within an hour. I'm not enough of a connoisseur to say it was the "best" or "authentic," but it was good enough that we would return. Ample parking and friendly staff is a definite plus. At the same time, we are also open to trying different highly-rated places as well.

Got the spicy miso with a 10x spicy and died. Great food though. The ramen was great if I dismiss the fact that I cried and drank more water than a whale. The waitress warned us about how spicy it was, but we were overconfident fools. Went back the second time a month later and only got the 2x spicy. Still great, will go back next time

Nice service, but average food Garlic gyoza was ok (filling was good, but garlic topping did not enhance the flavor much, more distracting/excessive). Potato salad portion was extremely small and average tasting for $4.50. I was most excited for the chicken karaage, but very disappointed in how salty it was. The texture was nice, but way too salty. I wish there was a sweet dipping sauce of something to balance it. Overall price was $21. Pretty disappointed, and most likely won't return.

Ramen is some of the best on the island. There's a little variance here and there (maybe different chefs?) but overall it really doesn't get much better than this here in Hawaii. Decor is utility focused, so I can't speak to that; logo is fun tho. There seems to be a lot of turnover with their waitstaff but they're usually pretty pleasant for the most part. Edit: there are a lot of flys outside, so sit inside if you can

I went to have dinner with my friend around 7:45pm and the experience was great!! As always!! This place is my go to ramen on a rainy day. I usually order the tonkatsu ramen with special toppings. My friend ordered the garlic tonkatsu. We also ordered the chicken karage and tokoyaki which I highly recommend!! They served everything so quickly and it wasn't too crowded but busy nonetheless. Loved how they checked on us, got us napkins without asking, and refills! Also, the chopsticks - my fav. Ambiance was also great because they had my fav music- J POP! So it was a lovely experience 11/10 and would highly recommend

First time coming to this establishment. Located diagonally from the blaisdell center. Come here after the vintage show this weekend. This restaurant is busy but we came at the right time. We were seated immediately inside. Service was superb. Friendly staff....Food came out quickly. I loved the flavor of the tan tan booth thru and thru. Each bite with the noodles was so tasty. The garlic on the gyoza added an extra yummy touch and crunch with each bite. Wish I ordered my own appetizer. Had to share with hubby. Next one, I'll order two. We will definitely come back. Wish we came here sooner.

Get the tomato ramen. This is the first thing I would say to someone if they told me they are interested in Junpuu. I was skeptical but now I believe lol. Unless you dislike tomatoes, I think everyone should at least try it! I've also enjoyed the garlic tonkotsu and garlic miso ramens. Both were great although I slightly prefer the former. Finally, I have tried the yuzu chicken ramen which was tasty and different. For sides, I had the garlic gyoza but actually would not recommend it over the plain, even though I am definitely a texture person. The gyoza was good, but I don't think the garlic made it any better. I still need to go back and try more - I'm looking at you, karaage and takoyaki... Service is friendly and fast. They can really turn tables here. Speaking of tables, there are several inside and outside. Parking is ample (street right out front which is free after 6pm M-Sa and on Sundays/holidays, and lot in the back).

One of our favorite ramen spots in town. Service is consistently prompt and friendly. I always order the spicy tonkatsu because it's so delicious! There are both indoor and outdoor seatings, but we love sitting outside with our doggie.
