Coco is the poolside restaurant and bar at the Outrigger on the Reef Hotel. It can be used even by non-hotel guests. There is live music by local musicians every day from 18:00 to 21:00 (with a break in between). When a danceable hula song is being played, you can come out to the side of the stage and dance the hula. Depending on the musician, you can request the hula song you want to dance to...The food is expensive, but considering it's part of the compensation paid to the musicians, it makes sense.Wheelchair accessibility: This is a poolside restaurant/bar on the 1st floor of the hotel. Wheelchair accessible.

Absolutely AMAZING experience here for dinner! We went here our last night on the island and were not disappointed! The live music, service, and food were incredible. Our waiter made great food suggestions. For food we had the braised beef short ribs, fresh catch tacos, and ahi poke nachos. Super low key relaxed vibe at this restaurant. Would highly recommend!

Our evening was wonderful! We had the Kani Ka Pilla Nachos, Pork Chops and Braised Beef. It was very good! The nachos were a big serving, like enough for 4-5 people and we ended up taking the rest to go. The live music, by Ho'okena, was wonderful! A few people from various tables went up to dance hula and it is so wonderful to see how the Hawaiian culture and music can bring people together. Will definitely go again!

My[daughter and I had the Pork Chop and it was tender and delicious - ate the whole thing. The car was taken care of and we were fitted at a great location. My wife had the Short rib and she enjoyed it as well as the Okinawan sweet potato. My son had the onion soup and calamari which he enjoyed as well. The Tom Collins and Manhattan were enjoyable. It sprinkled a little bit but it was fine sitting under the cover for the tables. Kawika Kahiapo and his group were fantastic and his invitation to have hula dancers in the audience to come up to dance enhanced the music to another level. Kawika's banter was very personal and his knowledge of Hawaiian music was entertaining. The overall experience was greater than I had anticipated and am looking forward to going there again.

Hadn't been to this favorite place since before the pandemic. It was so nice to go back and sit al fresco with great food and entertainment (live Hawaiian music), and auntie doing a few hulas too. Coconut shrimp was a real surprise...one of the best I've ever had. Fish and chips were delicious; three good size pieces of fish over fries. Nice wine list. Our server, Jon, was ever attentive. All in all a fantastic evening, despite some serious wind gusts and a few showers.

Outdoor dining at its finest. The music consists of award winning musicians and is fantastic. The food is excellent and the service is superb. Recommend getting reservations through open table because the venue fills up fast.

Me and my partner visit this for the first time. Overall experience was super excellent, as soon as we get to the front we got greeted by the hostess , we got sat less than five minutes, Server came in a minute greet us introduced himself and offer us a drink.. We got are Drinks , appetizers , entrees refilled our drink in time . Foods came fresh and hot and very wonderful taste. The live music was perfect, it was crowded the came but server still managed us very well. I give this restaurant a five-star score because of the excellent service. Keep it up ! For sure, I will be coming back to visit.

Our experience was mixed. Our server was very pleasant and professional but service was rushed. We had ahi poke nachos as an appetizer and they were barely sat down before our entrees were at the table. We had three entrees: crispy fish, kalua pork dinner and fish tacos. The crispy fish and kalua pork were good but not excellent. The tacos were bad. They were drenched in sauce so they were very drippy. The food was not a good value for the price, but our drinks were good and the Hawaiian music made it worthwhile.

Great local music, good vibes. I really come here for the atmosphere, but you ask for a fish sandwich, and you will get what looks like a whale on a slider bun. Cheers!

This was just ok. We were hungry so it did the job but wouldn't recommend this place because it's next to the pool at a hotel. I didn't realize that when making my reservation

I made reservations over a week before the dinner because I knew they were having an anniversary celebration with music and was sat in the corner of the bar area and couldn't see the bands playing. Plus service was rushed and unfriendly. The huli huli chicken had a terrific bbq sauce and mashed potatoes were delicious but the lousy seating and poor service spoiled my evening

We live locally so when we go to the Kani Ka Pila Grille it's for the live music. It's a cute venue in an open air setting with an excellent history of centering Hawaiian music and musicians. Go for the music. And know the food is just okay. The food is fine, the drinks are fine and the service is excellent.

We got a reservation here. It's inside the outrigger. They have a nice courtyard area which gets pretty busy. I had a Mai Tai and the Hulu Chicken. It wasn't the best huli chicken that I have had for sure. Not a bad place though.

Food was good, just overpriced. I had the garlic prawns entre which was 6 prawns on top of a scoop of rice with coleslaw on the side for $35, nothing exciting. My partner had the seared ahi which was delicious for $40. $9 beers. $16 pina colada's. Live music was nice! Their menu has changed over the years and used to be better in my opinion, pretty limited now.
