Book ahead of time if you wanted a guaranteed spot to dine in. Otherwise, they do offer takeout as well. The sushi was delicious as expected. It has the same tastes as the Katsumidori in Japan, just a bit more expensive.

We always enjoy the lunch specials. We also appreciate ordering from the tablet on the table. It is difficult to find a server when we need things that are not available on the tablet. Is there a "call" button to have a server come to our table? I couldn't find one & I didn't want to put in a request for something that we didn't need just to try & get a server's attention.
It was our first time going and the food was absolutely incredible! We had the Yokozuna plate and everything was stunning! The uni is like butter, melt in your mouth quality and it was so creamy. My favorite cut of fish is the hamachi (yellowtail) and it was wonderful here. My husband and I also ordered fatty tuna, seared extra fatty tuna, and both types of mackerel offered and everything was delicious. Staff was amazing and food service was quick! We will definitely be returning

Seafood was fresh and good quality. Cooked items served hot/straight from the kitchen. Service outstanding and server very helpful. Only thing was when trying to make reservations on the phone they don't answer so we made it through open table.

Can't say enough of this joint, it is totally legit!! Highly recommend the assorted sashimi for two which is a great deal under $40. Plus they serve ice cold Asahi Super Dry Draft which is my favorite Japanese beer. Like to end it with an on the rocks UmePon plum and orange liqueur.......man no need to eat sushi when I visit Tokyo because Katsumidori gots the best Edomae sushi right here in Waikiki brah!!!
Our server, Erika was amazing! She's very friendly, energetic and helpful. The tuna and uni was ahhhhmazing! We love it and we'll be back. Parking. Valet lot and self parking is limited. Based upon the time of your dinner reservation (weekends are busy)

Delicious! We had such a great time at Katsumidori. We enjoyed the Yokozuna. It was amazing, however, it was too much for us (we ordered one each) and we were in pain attempting to eat the entire meal. The quality was excellent and we look forward to returning in the future.

Excellent food and reasonable price point! Our server Erica was also fabulous and made our birthday dinner celebration even more special! We will continue to come here to enjoy good food and great service!
Impersonal service, rushed feeling. Wife's birthday, but sat next to kitchen entrance. I would not suggest for any romantic or date night. Food was good to very good. Order from a tablet, but check out suggests 22% tip? I'd say not bad for casual dining.

The restaurant has zero ambiance unless you are lucky enough to be seated at the sushi bar. We were in a table near the curtain to the back kitchen area. There are no real servers to help you - you are expected to review the menu and order on an i-pad, so forget it if you want anything customized. Also, we ordered wine, and they came back to tell us they were out of all of their white wine selections.

Restaurant was very accommodating because we had to keep adding people on to our party & we got the private room for 8 of us. Service was great, food was delicious, especially the sushi.

Totally legit Edomae(Tokyo—Style) sushi. Very reasonable considering crazy Waikiki prices, order with tablet, no mistakes or misunderstandings, outstanding service is very prompt and attentive by Japanese servers. When I hang out in Roppongi, I really don't crave sushi over there because I'm frequently dining at Katsumidori. All their small plates and side dishes are very authentic too!!

Very convenient and clean, located in the ground floor of Prince Waikiki. But reasonably priced. Some good sake and beer. Appetizers not bad. Sushi very good and authentic. Very impressive quick service. Really enjoyed the dinner there. Thank you guys for making our last night of Hawaii vacation special!
