What a great hidden gem in Koko Marina! The service was excellent and the food even better. The price is also very reasonable. The sushi is really good, the udon and soba noodles are delicious and the tamago is incredible. The desserts are also very very good.We will certainly come back for the omakase when we have more time! We were told the omakase takes about 90 minutes. The only small downside is that there are only 2 tables for 2 persons. The other seats are high seats where you can watch the chef prepare your food.

Everything was great! We were in Hawaii kai and had a craving for some Japanese breakfast. Found this place and it is such a hidden gem! Just inside the koko marina shopping center this little shop feels like an escape. It's quiet and clean and calm inside. We ordered the chirashi bowl with half udon and the tempura udon. The fish was excellent. Fresha and handled with care. We will be going back!

First time here and had some difficulty finding the place due to discrepancies with Google Maps. The restaurant is located behind the Greek restaurant after you walk a bit past it; the restaurant is not part of the signs detailing where restaurants are, which made it a bit harder to find. We were not greeted at the door but was quickly seated after a party left behind us. Water and green tea tasted very fresh and food was prepared in front of us by the chef. It felt a little awkward with the sushi chef focusing solely on cooking, as he didn't talk with us the entire time. Regardless, the food tasted amazing. I ordered a bowl of salmon, ikura, and snow crab served over rice with a side of hot udon. My favorite was the ikura, as I'm not really a fan, but it tasted very sweet and complimented the rest of the bowl very well. Overall, the food is great, but I would have enjoyed it more if the atmosphere was a bit more welcoming.

Service is always awesome !! Food top quality and always fresh !! Parking always available unlike their king street location!! I love the food quality and taste -- like i am back in Japan !! Highly recommend inaba's hawaii kai location !!

Ordered food online for pick up. Credit card was charged and order processed, but when I drove down the restaurant the the staff said that they cancelled it because they were too busy...very unprofessional especially since they never notified me. Very disappointing!!!!

My family and I took my grandmother out for lunch yesterday. We arrived a little late trying to find this restaurant. It's tucked away in between Kona Brewery and the front row of shops. Waitress waved us in when we arrived. We were transported to a chef table that seats 8 with 2 tables of 2. For lunch they had a lot of combinations 1/2 soba plus one item. We ordered the tempura, chirashi, NATO soba, and 8 piece sushi. I apologize I was so hungry I didn't have time to take any pictures. I was impressed by the freshness and quality of the food. Fatty tuna melted in my mouth with the freshly grinded wasabi. They were friendly and even my grandmother started talking to both chef and waitress in Japanese. Arigato gozaimasu for letting stay little later than closing. I definitely want to try their omakase with my girlfriend to see how she will like it someday soon.

I'm not out in the Hawaii Kai area often so it was a treat to be out there and go and eat at Koko i-naba Hawaii Kai. While they have some similarities to the original I-naba King St location, I feel like they have some different options. I opted for the crab, salmon and ikura bowl with half soba. Everything is always fresh and delicious. The rice is seasoned just right. The soba is always on point and so fresh. The only downside about this restaurant is that there are very limited seats. There were about 8 seats at the bar plus one or two tables for two people. Soooo good! Easy parking in the shopping center as well.

If you are in the mood for quality Japanese food as if you were in Japan, head over to Koko I-naba Hawaii Kai. I haven't been disappointed with the things that I've ordered. The attention to detail, the quality of ingredients and consistent taste, makes this place a great place to come for lunch or dinner. One of my favorite things is at the end of the meal, the server will bring out a tea pot of the soba hot water and you add it to the soba dipping sauce and drink then you drink it like tea. Great way to end a meal. Staff is great and the place in nice and cozy but in a good way.
