service is sometimes kind of slow but it's still L&L quality food, so you can't go wrong. I really appreciate though how clean this L&L is, it's probably the cleanest one ive ever been in (and best looking walls because it's still pristine white).

Yum! L&L is a staple that's always on our list of places to go.There are only 3 tables (4 seaters) at this restaurant location so you may need to bring your good elsewhere to eat if there are other patrons.Service was friendly. Food took around 15 minutes or so to come out, but they were piping hot containers.Chicken katsu curry (mini) | ~$10.45Tender and delicious dark meat chicken katsu. There was a ladle of curry on top which did make the chicken pretty soggy rather than the crunchy I was hoping for. Not to self to ask for the curry on the side next time!Location is convenient in a shopping plaza. Longs and Safeway are nearby so this is a perfect stop to grab something to eat while out and about.

Ordered beef stew. There were four pieces of meat which is rather standard. However, one piece was all fat with tiny bits of meat embedded which I tossed out. The other three pieces were mainly fat for which I got about one piece of meat from. What I got is what most other places trim off and toss as scrap. Although meat fat is expected, no person wants to chew and swallow the amount of fat in my stew. It’s call beef stew, not fat stew. It’s not right to do this to people. Go to Grace’s and see what beef stew should look like.

Manoa Barbeque is small place you might have overlooked but the food holds it own with other more familiar places like L&L or Konas etc. they have a slicer and a grinder so they can serve more fresh cuts and burgers but also have a classic local flavors and deli restaurant environment that reminds me of when I was a keki. Ask to try their non sweetened ice tea.

We love this L & L and pick up food at least once week since we're right in the neighborhood. I love their shrimp curry and my boyfriend usually gets their beef stew & chicken katsu. Their french fries are always so fresh and tasty, definitely a must try. Such a great addition to Manoa Marketplace!!
4.5stars. Katsu is really good. It's Not perfect but it's good. Their chicken katsu is Better than other L&Ls as well as their Mac salad. Their katsu sauce could use a little work, as do other L&Ls. As a local you know not all L&Ls are created equal. And as a customer of L&L, it's critical to judge their plate lunches by their katsu. As chicken katsu is a local favorite by many, as a franchise, you gotta have a good chicken katsu. Their katsu is pretty good, crunchy, not over fried, the breading is even. Their rice was cooked well, it was not mushy or hard, the rice soaked up the sauce and Mac salad. If you screw up the rice, you're gonna have a lot of angry local customers. Some L&Ls man, they have mushy rice which is like a deal breaker. This L&L didn't screw up the rice. Good job. Their Mac salad was ok, but it wasn't terrible. Other L&Ls has watered down Mac salad, this L&L had good distribution of Mayo and macaroni. I have yet to see or eat a very good very delicious L&L Mac salad. Their sauce was ok as well. It's not watered down like some L&Ls. I I remember 10 years ago, I was at an L&L in Laie, yo their katsu sauce was so good, that was one of the best katsu plates I ever had. I think if most L&Ls improved their sauce, improved their Mac salad, make rice how it's supposed to be made, and keep consistently making good chicken katsu, a lot more people other than locals would like it. A lot more. That's why I have doubts on whether to eat at an L&L I don't know of, some of their other restaurants cut corners but not this one. It was good, good enough for me to come back and know I won't be disappointed. Good job L&L manoa.

I have an unhealthy obsession with this joint. Get the chicken Katsu. It's enough for two meals. It's like crack!!! Don't think twice- just order from here already.

A place near the beach where you can grab a quick bite to eat. This place is a take out only place and there's a few benches you can sit and eat at. Or alternatively, you can grab and go and eat at the beach. Like a lot of things in Hawaii, portions are really good. I was definitely full after eating this. The only complaint was that everything was seasoned with the same marinade.

This place is just a name which doesn't represent for Hawaii at all; I've had better L and L in Nevada; You would think that Hawaii would represent better but terrible food and yeah, overpriced;

Great experience. Called ahead and ordered about 5 minutes before arriving and by the time we got there it was ready. I got a “mini” size Loco Moco and it was absolutely delicious. Wife got the “mini” short rib plate. Also excellent. Great food served fast. Can’t ask for more
