Went their for our anniversary and La Vie never disappoints as we've been back about 4-5 times as the menu changes and it's always delicious, good portions, outstanding service, and all around better than many Michelin restaurants I have been to.

Everything about this experience was next level. The food, ambience, view, and particularly our server, Nicholas, who was incredibly knowledgeable about not only the menu items being served, but also the history behind the food. Certainly a dinner to remember for my partners birthday!

We enjoyed the dinner tremendously. Service was great. Food was great. Chose the wine pairing. The wine maestro took time to explain each wine selection in some details. The whole experience was very memorable. Will definitely do again.

Amazing time and the Fried Chicken and Champs was everything. Service was excellent. Best honeymoon celebration yet. The piano player was outstanding and kept a good vibe all evening. Hats off to the bartender for amazing craft cocktails. Great evening.

The service by the waiting staff was very good they were attentive and the food was very good. The wine pairing was horrible! Very beautiful view. For the price I'd rather go to La mer.

Absolutely delightful. Sat at the bar and listened to the piano while drinking delicious cocktails/wine and eating a fantastic set of food: wagyu steak, frog legs, and beat salad. All perfect. Chris the bar manager was also awesome and hooked us up with an off-menu affogato because my (pregnant) wife had a craving. Can’t beat that kind of service.

It's a great experience dining at LaVie. The four course meal is artistically prepared and elegantly presented. The flavor is subtle but profound. The staff are conversational but not chatty. They express their warm welcome but not overwhelming. The service is pleasant. We definitely visit LaVie again!

We had the Hy's pop up menu. The menu was shortened due to the pop-up nature of the restaurant and the food was up to Hy's standards and was very good. The server was friendly and knew what he was doing, but the service was slow and took away from the enjoyment of the evening. We had to ask for our cheese toast twice and we ordered a second batch which never came. They might have been working out the kinks on the pop-up format, but they do have to improve the service levels.

Breakfast is the best I’ve ever had - keep coming back every year! Pork Benedict is especially good.

My wife and I had difference courses each so we can try out different dishes. The food was excellent all the way up to the last main dish. The main dish was good but the Bluefin toro dish was so so. We eat bluefin toro often in Japan so we know it well. This toro was a bit fishy and my wife had to ask for lemon. The veal dish was good but a bit heavy. The desert at the end was very good. All in all it was a pleasant meal as Hawaii really doesn't have many gourmet classy restaurants.

The Whole night was wonderful. It was a wonderful and unhurried night of relaxation. From the wait staff (Carl / bartender) being on top of everything, food (outstanding quality and presentation), ambience (sunset), and music - is was a romantic evening!

I had an absolutely enchanting experience at La Vie! Each dish was a masterpiece, impeccably prepared and artistically presented. The respect for ingredients shone through in every bite, with a perfect balance that left me savoring each flavor. The timing between courses allowed for a leisurely indulgence without feeling rushed. The professionalism and pride exhibited by the front-of-house team were remarkable. Their passion for the food was evident in detailed explanations of each dish, showcasing unparalleled knowledge. As a non-drinker, I opted for mocktails and was pleasantly surprised – they were undoubtedly the best I've ever had in high-end restaurants. The pairing with my chosen dishes was flawless.Celebrating my birthday as a solo diner, I felt genuinely embraced by the entire team. Every member congratulated me, ensuring I never felt alone. The warmth, care, and impeccable service made this my most memorable dining experience ever. Kudos to La Vie for creating a truly extraordinary culinary journey!
