Well I guess all good things come to an end! Sorry to see Like Like Drive Inn close!. Plenty Hanabata Days there for sure! In da day this was the "go to" for late night after "Clubbing" grindz! It is disturbing to see yet another long time "iconic" eateriy disappear like dinosaurs! Was hoping to go in to get one last "Short Rib stew" special on Thursdays!. Was my late father's must have!. Mahalo for your years of service to the community!. Just wish another local place could stay open? Now I hope it doesn't get replaced by some mainland chain!. Bless you folks!

Closed for business in Honolulu, Hawaii... This iconic restaurant is no more. Pau. Finished. Over. Done. So sad... The television news last night said that Like Like Drive Inn will officially close on April 30, 2020. Right now, they are not serving any more food... even takeout has been discontinued. I used to come here with my friends after night clubbing because it was a 24 hour a day joint. It was a local, comfortable place with friendly "aunties" serving up ono kine grinds - Nothing fancy... just easy and quick. Later on in life, I visited with my parents and saw one of my teachers from elementary school sitting at the counter. It was so cool to catch up with Miss O'Calvey! (She taught Music and Hawaiiana at Maryknoll School!) It's way different speaking as an adult to one of your idols... Anyway, I feel like I lost a valuable treasure with the closing of Like Like Drive Inn. Thanks for the happy foodie memories... Sorry that I didn't get to dine here one last time...

Please do not close. We go to your restaurant regularly and really really want you to stay open. We love your oxtail soup and your beef stew. We like pretty much everything you make and have tried almost everything you make. I'm sure a lot of people feel the same wayq

My father and I have been coming to this restaurant for breakfast every morning for the past week. Service is horrible. I am always saying thank you and smiling but it feels like I am bothering them majority of the time. It located next to our hotel so its convenient but I'd rather take my money somewhere else. Food is good but not enough to compensate for horrible and rude waitresses.

The late night early morning hang out, after social dances, '65 n '66. mostly had the saimin, if u had money to eat. Drank water and apologize for leaving tips that way. Went back several times, about 14 -16 years ago. Was not the same. Menu was just like Zippy's. Like the home cooking wasn't there. But I guess most restaurants are that way nowadays. another "Old Japanie Man Logic!" Might rain, my knee hurts. Maybe from pickle ball this week. U didn't play. So going rain!

Really enjoyed dining here. Felt like a blast from the past... old school family diner style! My Loco Moco was delicious too!

It's mostly the locals who eat here. They have the best oxtail soup on Oahu- we've tried everywhere else, plus they offer deal. It comes with 2 sides and your choice of dessert. But the oxtail soup special is only available on Wednesdays and Fridays. The service is nice and friendly, restrooms are relatively clean, and you pay at the front counter.

This drive inn is an icon. People have been coming here to enjoy local favorites since I can remember - and I wouldn't classify myself as a "young" person! My favorites are the green onion omelette with hash browns or saimin. This time we tried the guava crepes on a whim, thinking they would be really sweet, and were totally surprised when it was a delight to eat! We both really enjoyed it and would get it again. Long live LikeLike!

Very local, friendly service. Food is like eating at home. Clean restaurant & lots of space in their diningroom. Always willing to work out the menu to your liking. Parking is a bit tight but well worth it. Service is very quick & will always check up on you throughout your meal.
