Went for the first time yesterday the sandwich was incredible! They bake their own bread and they have little mini loafs, I used the mini loaf today to make the best french toast I've ever had. The staff are friendly, the food is amazing, you gotta try this place!

I've eaten Machete's Italian and Machete's sandwiches, and neither disappointed. They have the BEST sandwiches I've EVER eaten.

Can’t wait to go back here. Delicious sandwich and I got something so basic - turkey, lettuce, tomato, mayo, and cheese. Everyone was really nice and there was no line. Two small comments: my sandwich had onions on it and the menu didn’t say onions so if you don’t like onions make sure to specify that and the other was that parking wasn’t so easy. I would still come back bc it was really amazing and the bread - omg. The softest bread I have ever had. Enjoy!

Danggg one of the best sandwiches I have ever had! Fresh bread. Fresh ingredients. We got the Turkey and cheese and added avocado and proceeded to have a religious experience with our food. We will be back here before we leave the island.

The food was awesome and the service was great! It is downtown and not much parking. The pawn shop next door will yell at you if you try to park there. But the food made the parking trouble worth it.

The sandwiches are really good, I like the ham and cheese and the pastrami. The staff could us a little more Aloha vibe.

Are there better deli sandwiches in the country? Yes. Are there better deli sandwiches on Oahu? Not likely. Got the #8, Roast Beef and Turkey, LTM on whole wheat. Bread 5/5, sliced thick, fresh and soft. Meats 3.5/5. I know I can buy better quality meat at Whole Foods, and some places will cook their own, but given the size, scale of the shop, these were decent quality and generous portions. Fresh veggies and a large sandwich, overall. The people in shop were super nice, very friendly atmosphere. Will definitely be back for a fast, good quality sandwich.

I give this place 4.5 stars...would be 5 stars if the parking situation was better. This was my first time here. Had a little bit of a wait but it was well worth the wait. I got the Machete: turkey, ham, salami, pastrami, provolone cheese, cheddar cheese, mayo, onions, lettuce, tomatoes, oregano and Italian vinaigrette. This sandwich was massive! Wheat bread was fresh. Everything between the thick bread slices was so onolicious! Will definitely be back.

Pastrami sandwich was excellent! They had a person helping with the parking, made it so easy to pick up!

The sandwich was delicious. The bread is interesting as I've never seen bread so thick. The service was quick & friendly. The ambiance was to go meaning, you can't eat there. It was a good sandwich

Ordered one veggie and two #12s which are double pastrami and are 12.95$. Somehow one of the 12#s got labeled as the veggie and I'm not sure but there was no where close to double meat on the #12s I've seen more meat on a subway 6".

Went to the Kalakaua branch and had one of the worst sandwiches I ever had with very little turkey and avocado. Bacon was really fatty and undercooked. Prior sandwich was very good but very disappointing recently.

Homemade bread - yea, they were out of wheat - boo! Big sandwiches that are all bread, little meat. I got the #2 Turkey that said it comes with "Smoked turkey", it wasn't smoked, it was plain turkey and the provolone tasted like Swiss cheese. They were out of ham, so hubby got roast beef instead, again sandwich is all bread! Tuna salad was good. Walk in only, there is no inside seating. Service was nice, counter guy said he "was new", but friendly.

Just purchased.. (@ 8 Sept @ 1500)a machete and turkey avocado and bacon. And it was smackin!! . Guy working there at this time was very kind and patient.I was craving a sandwich and it was on point. It’s the bread!!I noticed big bags in the sandwich shop and baking tins and asked if they made their bread, yes they do. The bread already looks like it’s going to be delicious. Thick cuts of soft white bread. AND IT WAS!! Soft and delicious and fresh. The guy who made the sandwich said I could purchase a loaf, I really am considering it.It is what I like to call, a repeat buy!!
