Bread is awesome. Simple, quick yet awesome sandwiches. They don't skimp on their meats. Tuna is awesome here too. We call it in so it's ready by the time we get in the shop. Wish the road/rail construction wasn't happening but we make a point to come to this place regularly. Highly recommend.

I've been coming to this location of Machete's sandwiches for a number of years now. It's in a little mall with Zippy's, Buffalo Wild Wings and a number of other eateries. Parking can be a little challenging if you come during lunch or dinner hours. Other than that shouldn't be a challenge. I guess I'm sort of a creature of habit and always order the same thing once I find something I like. For me it's the turkey, bacon and ranch sandwich which I get on wheat bread. The sandwich is big enough for me to have 2 meals from it. I guess if you are a little bigger eater you can probably take it down in one sitting. If you look closely at the menu there are a few items you can add to your sandwich at no cost. The inside of the restaurant is very minimal, there are 3 tables with some chairs. I don't think I've seen very many people eating in, mostly take out. This is a sandwich shop I always frequent and will continue to go as long as they are around.

We got the Italian on white added hot peppers and the BLT on wheat added provolone. Hands down one if the best Italians I've had, and I've been to Italy! Perfect ratio of meat to veggies to cheese, and just the right amount of the vinegarette. 100% recommend and looking forward to coming back again soon!

We went here on the way from the airport. It was so good, we came back a few days later. The bread is delicious and thick. The fixings are fresh and yummy. Highly recommend.

I'd take this over a chain sandwich shop any day. 5 stars for the actual food Thick, soft bread. Thick layering of deli meats, plus fresh, cold toppings. It's a tiny place, so it's better to-go than for dining in. Staff were punching out meals.

Went here at 12 pm for lunch. Ran out if bread. Not a good look for a sandwich shop at noon. 3 phone call orders to be picked up, so they all left upset

Found a hair in my sandwich as I pulled it apart to eat it. The employee was very apologetic but also not trained on how to issue a refund. Ended up without a sandwich and no refund. Will not be going back.

When eating an Amazing Sandwich it's all about the Bread and here at Machete's Mean Sandwiches here on the heart of Kalihi, that White Bread is so pillowy soft, i almost thought I was in Japan.I'm a huge Pastrami Lover so i had to have the Pastrami Sandwich here at MMS. For a Pastrami Sandwich it was a pretty decent size and it sure was delicious and flavorful. I had it with extra Mayo,Spicy Mustard and Lettuce and Tomato. After sinking my teeth into this Phenomenal Sandwich all I could think about was that Bread. I just couldn't get enough of this Sandwich and it was gone before you even knew it.Definitely coming back here for more of this Yumminess

Perfect location!..... not too many "healthy" options around here lol. I came @3pm and it was pretty slow so even tho Melody was working solo I still got my sandwich really quick! Went to wash my hands, came back, and presto my sandwich was waiting for me! There's 3 tables and like 10 chairs if you wanna dine in. Cold AC too! Lots of parking too

The food here is fantastic, but they’re not open when their hours say this should be open. This is the second time I’ve come in the afternoon and they are shut before there supposed to be. The doors are locked, lights are off, and there was no sign up.

I always get "the machete" sandwich ($16.55). Over a half pound of turkey, ham, salami, pastrami, provolone cheese, cheddar cheese, mayo, onions, lettuce, tomatoes, oregano and Italian vinaigrette. I add hot peppers, extra tomatoes, and cucumbers. It's so big that I eat half for lunch and the other half for dinner. Kinda pricey, but if you can make 2 meals out of it, then not too bad.
