I used to frequent this restaurant 7-8 years ago when I worked nearby, but after changing jobs, I wasn't able to visit as often, though I sometimes missed it. Recently, I heard that it had a new owner, but the former cooking chef is same, so I decided to visit again. It was just like before - the same great taste and clean atmosphere! The new owner was also very kind. The chicken wings sauce was spicy but not greasy, like it was grilled over a fire, and delicious, so the whole family enjoyed it. The pork bulgogi and generous side dishes were also great. I'll definitely be stopping by more often! Highly recommended.

Crap - the chicken is dry and over cooked. The kalbi is too sweet. $22 and I got 1 kalbi and 1 chicken. No food value. Servers are polite. If you like waiting next to takeout containers under shitty lighting this place has the perfect ambiance for you. Save your money and don't bother going to the horrible place that should have closed up years ago

Looking for tasty dim sum?! This little gem of a place hidden in a food court was actually a happy surprise. We came back twice while in town.

Was craving Korean bbq and am glad we tried Mama Woo’s! We had the kal bi and bbq chicken- super good kal bi, will probably get double instead of the chicken next time. Good price point and fast service. (This photo was after we ate about half the steak!) Can’t speak about the sides because we didn’t try any, but they had a lot of options. Will get the kal bi again!

All time Korean food here in Honolulu. Delicious mains and sides, excellent service, so fast and friendly! Quick in and out operation that is extremely clean. I’ve never met someone who doesn’t love the food here, either!

Mama woos is by far my favorite korean bbq place on island! the shop is a small place and can sometimes get really crowded but the staff at mamas woos ensure to keep everything moving. not only is the food so so good no matter what you get, they are so kind and efficient ensuring to greet everyone and talk story a bit. recently i recommended my work place to cater from mama woos for a work event and mama woos beyond delivered exceptional service and food for 200+ people! they were so thankful to my company for the order as well as helped one of my team members with loading everything into her vehicle. My favorite thing to get is their meat jun and their banchan is top of the line the shoyu potatoes and papayas are so delicious! couldnt recommend them enough.

I dream about Mama Woo's BBQ. Everything is good. Everything. The meat jun is to die for, and you can't go wrong with any of the sides. I particularly like the kimchi pickled radish and kimchi pancakes to pair with the entree. The only critique I have is with the bulgogi, it's quite thick. Still good, but I prefer thin, dripping bulgogi. I live in LA and can't wait to go back to Hawaii for Mama Woo's BBQ. Please open a location in LA!!!!!

Trust the ratings on this place. It's my new Korean plate lunch location. Food is solid and staff is friendly. Got the kalbi combo w spicy fried chicken. Both were good. They allowed me to skip rice and get one extra banchan. As other reviewers noted they have a much more extensive banchan menu fast food first place I've seen w potato salad (one of my faves) and some stuff I normally don't see like fried eggplant and odeng.

One of the best Korean restaurants on the island. Certainly the most reliable for a large party. Just make sure to place your order 1-2 days in advance and they will have the platters hot and ready. The Meat jun, mandu, and bulgogi beef are our favorite dishes. Also tried their the kalbi and spicy pork and they were both delicious as well. I'm not a big fan of banchan, but their selection is expansive. And was told that the quality and taste of the banchan items are great by several folks. Prices are reasonable and comparable to other Korean restaurants, but I think you get a better "bang for your buck" here. Highly recommend!

My wife and I've been going here for years and they never fail to fill us up with delicious food! Their meat jun, spicy pork, and all the side fixings are always on point. We were a little nervous about the change in ownership but we're happy to report that the quality of food hasn't changed. It's also cool that while they're keeping a lot of the old recipes, it looks like they're excited to try new things. By the friendly owner's recommendation, we tried their new menu, Korean Meatball Jun. This was sooo gooood! I will definitely be getting it again next time. Just makes it more difficult now to choose what to put in my next mixed plate!

Our favorite Korean take out, love service and food. They recently added a new menu board and can it's very clear and can read the menu well. They also did a clean up and not all the boxes as you enter, looks like they decluttering the front area. Food is alway five star, ordered the rice cake soup and party platter. Rice cake soup was so good, not on the menu (not sure why), but they do make the soup. Love the party platter their meats are never over cooked or burnt, very flavorful and it's a lot of food. Wish they gave more bachans (these portions are smaller)
