Great service, beautiful view at sunset, watching the boats sail out for the Friday evening races. Food was very good, nice low key live musician. Menu not with a huge selection, but found good stuff and wonderful mango- lilikoi cheesecake for dessert. We will be back.

Our group of 5 dear friends get together once a month for lunch and we always pick Mariposa for special celebrations. The atmosphere, service, food are outstanding. We each ordered something different (curry, pork chop, seafood pasta, salmon salad, burger w/fries) and was pleased, as we are every time. My friend received a birthday dessert sampler which too, was so good.

Salmon with risotto was perfectly delicious! Vanilla ice cream affogato and chocolate gelato desserts were also delectable! Server kindly gave us an anniversary treat- macadamia coconut pie which was very luscious. The Mariposa is the best restaurant for celebrations!
Delicious food in a gracious setting overlooking Ala Moana Beach. All staff kind and attentive, sever Blaze was outstanding. Lovely place for lunch with local friends and visitors.

There could not have been a more comfortable and relaxed opportunity for dining. I was very pleased to be seated on the outside porch with a view of the park and the ocean. The service was very prompt and pleasant but not at all rushed. My meal was beautifully presented and delicious.

Was disappointed with only 1 vegetarian option (even the salads all had animal protein). But the dishes that were served were good. And the servers were very attentive and friendly. Oddly, the chopsticks are very uncomfortable to use. Square chopsticks with sharp edges. I ended up switching to a spoon for my beet salad.
Always Excellent.... My Favorite place, food, service, and just a comfortable feel.... I usually pay with cash, so it really doesn't show how many times I'm there during the week, but like I said; my favorite place.

Mariposa is our go-to spot, and the Sunset menu was lovely. Whether “date-night” or family dinner, there is something for everyone. Time it right for the sunset and the Friday night fireworks at the Hilton. There's nothing like good food, beautiful ambience, live music, and excellent service (Mahalo nui Preston!). You will certainly love dining here!

Another 5 star experience with Kawai as our server! He makes our dining experience so special with his graciousness and pleasant demeanor. My hamburger was how I ordered it, medium rare which is hard to get the right doneness at other restaurants. The corn chowder comes hot which is also hard to get.
The atmosphere was pretty relaxing. I did find service was extremely lacking. I wanted to sit outside. Fir sine reason the hostess didn't seat me st tge raining that if you want to see the view that's where you want to sit. Otherwise your blocked by people. So she sat me against the glass. Then about 10 minutes later she sat a single woman in front of me. That was wierd to me. At first I thought it was reserved but I had made a reservation, too. It wasn't reserved. Then the bread was served to me but the waiter didn't come for at least 10-15 min and I finally had to ask. What was wierd was another waiter was servicing all the tables in that section. Meanwhile the waiter I had had tables all over tge dining room it seemed like. He was mainly inside. I wasn't feeling well either. Once he came over becwas apologetic. I just don't get why there is no communication with the other waiter telling him or picking up the black because the other guy isn't actually working out there. Plus if they had a backwater watching and making sure stuff was taken care if. I could have had water delivered that's nkt really the waiters job. I got the spaghetti special. It came out Luke war. Really not hot st all but it was good. I asked for no chilid and they were accommodating. For the price they could have put parmesan cheese on top and maybe some shredded basil. It was just noodles, tomato sauce and crab. Crab was food and they gave me good amount. Got a mango cheesecake and that was okay. Not a whole lot of taste. It said it has lilikoi but I couldn't taste it. Maybe they should switch to a lilikoi cheesecake as that would be really good or maybe some lilikoi sauce. Popovers were fresh when server brought me a new one. He was very nice but at end of meal I waited a long time to flag someone down and sat there. No one really came to check on me. I'd go again but if service is like that for price food and tip im giving I would not return.

It was Very nice celebrating neices birthday. Food took awhile to come out but the seafood laksa was worth the wait. Glad we sat outside cause inside was a bit noisy. Our waiter John was very attentive and brought out a cake with candle for my niece. Which was a nice treat.

Great service despite changing our reservation at the worst possible time. We had to delay our appointment the last minute at the time where the kitchen crew was changing out from their lunch menu to the dinner menu. Mariposa took our order in advance as we were 15 minutes out and had our table and food ready on the table. Even with the crew changing out our service Joey (our favorite server of all time) didn't skip in making sure we had the delicious pop-up bread and broth. The food was delicious, and we had great time. Hats off to Mariposa and Joey...Mariposa is lucky to have a friendly and dedicated employee that goes the extra mile for patrons that frequent Mariposa.

We have been to the Mariposa may times since they opened and have consistently had wonderful service, a beautiful ambience and amazing food. I take friends, relatives, students, and visitors there. The food is excellent infusing local flavors and ingridients. The service is perfect. This past visit we were fortunate to have the exceptional service of Joseph. He was great in explaining the menu and daily specials. We appreciated his knowledge, patience, and checking in on us throughout the meal. He had a warm and welcoming personality. The service is always top notch and Joseph went that extra mile. Thank you all!
