I really hope they found / find a new location since 99 Ranch has been defaced for money!!! Such good green food and always so friendly.

Please save yourself. Mary's is in the old Asian market building and it is depressing. I remember when it was alive and kicking but it is about to die and be reincarnated as a Home Depot. In the meantime, I was in the mood for a gyro. Unfortunately there is nothing to talk about here. The gyro meat was carved yesterday, dried out and tasteless. The tzatziki was awfully disappointing with a lack of flavor, and needed cucumber, salt, sour cream, lemon juice, garlic, dill, pepper. Did I mention it was terrible? The gyro plate and salad were both skimpy on the gyro meat but after a few bites we didn't want anymore and wouldn't have eaten a bigger portion anyways. This is what I get for not reading reviews. It is not a 3 star spot.

***PLACE CLOSING ON 15JUL2022***Location as per the lady operating the business closing down on the 15th of Jul and replaced with HOME DEPOT.Food wise doesn’t taste Shawarma or whatever food that was served on the menu tasted like mideast food. Food is dry and the pita like thick tortilla.

I was working in the area and decided to try this place. It's located in a giant warehouse that has no windows, poor ventilation/ ac and poor lighting. I ordered a simple gyro and it was served up to me almost instantly. The gyro was room temperature. If I had to guess I think they cook up or defrost a bunch of gyro meat in the morning, keep it in a bin on a counter at room temperature and then throw it into anything that calls for it. I had maybe two bites and threw the rest away. From the two bites it also tasted bland. I do not recommend this place.

They are getting to find a new place and hope to get a place in King St. closer to town. I'm sad - that's not too convenient for a quick gyro sandwich meal. Director to take a pic of my gyro. They have plenty of meat and their tzatziki sauce is awesome. Pita was fluffy and fresh. Posting mostly to update on their possible new location.

I have not written a review when I have been unhappy with the food or service at a restaurant - UNTIL NOW! That is just how unhappy I am about the way Mary, the owner, treated me and how the sickeningly spoiled and nasty the food was! First, the "kitchen" is just a food booth, one of many inside an industrial building. There were no signs posted outside for any of the food booths inside. So, I called Mary to ask where to park and how to find her restaurant. Her accent was difficult to understand. She was so rude to me that she actually called me stupid and hung up the phone on me. Yes, she did. I should have turned around then. But I persevered and found her location in the very back corner of the food court. Her husband smiled and greeted me warmly and took my order, a gyro sandwich and Greek salad. Mary was the cook. I went out to my car to eat the sandwich, while it would still be hot. To my shock, the gyro lamb meat was not even warm, let alone hot, like I was expecting. The the sandwich gave off a foul odor. Like the food had not been stored properly, at the right temperatures. I took just a few bites and had to put it down because I was worried I would get food poisoning. The health department should go check that food booth. And Mary... she should close down the business before she kills someone by poisoning them. And she has no business in customer service either!

Disappointing after reading all the positive reviews. Rude impatient service. Ordered a veggie platter. The falafel were dry, hard and disgusting. Tabouli tasted like it had been sitting all day. The dolma are out of a can. No lemon. Best thing was the hummus.

How is it possible that I've not reviewed Mary's? Time to fix that oversight! Quick review- go to Mary's! Order anything and be happy, add a side of hummus and be even happier. Longer review- if you are there on a day that they have beef tongue, order the tongue. The gyros are very nice, falafel is delicious, and the chicken shawarma is also a great option. Get a tub of hummus to go and make sure you also order extra pita. It warms up well in your toaster at home and is a simple meal but oh so comforting. I also recommend stopping for a moment to say thank you to the husband and wife team that are the heart and soul of Mary's. They produce amazing food in an odd location, and have been a consistently good choice for over a decade. I truly hope that they will continue to feed their many fans for years to come.

Next time I'd like to try the beef tongue. It's $18 so a little overpriced to me. We had gyro sandwiches and veggies plate. The gyros were bland. I wouldn't get that again. They don't out enough meat. I added Hummus from my veggie plate which made it taste better. The dolmas were oily and mushy. Kinda tasted a bit old. The pita was thick and spongy. It might be commercial made not homemade. The falafel were delicious. Nice crisp round balls with a curry flavor. I'll get the falafel plate next time. The Hummus was yummy and the side salad made with parsley and tomatoes were pretty good.

I love gy ros and I do frequent 99 Ranch very often, but I've never been to Mary's Mediterranean Kitchen in years until this week. Having dined at various restaurants I decided to try Mary's again and ordered a lamb gyros. It was OK, enough mea but kind of bland flavor wise. The lamb was under seasoned and the tzatziki sauce was grainy. My guess is that they added ricotta cheese in the sauce to make it grainy. All in all the gyros was OK and when I do return here I will definitely leave my comfort zone order something else.

Located in 99 ranch market! Delicious Mediterranean food! My go to is their gyro plate! Flavor is on point and I would definitely recommend!

First time trying this place. We ordered the vegetarian plate and the chicken Swarma plate. Both tasted great. We loved the humus and the chicken Swarma. We will definitely stop by again to buy more humus and try other items on their menu.

I know mask mandates ended. I was yearning for falafel's but when I went to Mary's I noticed that the workers aren't masked. The other eateries in Moanalua 99 had their workers masked. I decided to take my business to a place that had workers that were masked. I appreciated the consideration and decided not to buy anything from Mary's.

Mary’s has very solid Greek and Mediterranean food. The lunch special is a good deal and the baklava is reasonably priced. Not a bad place to swing by for lunch. The quality of the meat was very good, everything else was decent.
