This was my first time coming here and they've been at this spot for a while! I must be living under a rock!! The couple that works here is very sweet and I felt like I was at an aunty and uncle's for lunch. I ordered the char siu and roast duck...both soooooo delicious and flavorful! It came on a bed of rice with some fresh choi sum. This was a great way to start the day! Yes, I had it for breakfast! This is a hidden gem! Definitely worth coming to! Mahalo Mei Mei!

The BBQ Pork (Char Siu) was phenomenal. Staff was nice enough and the atmosphere is dingy and basic but overwhelmingly authentic.Actually one of the best meals we’ve had on the island.

Plate lunches are getting expensive, but Mei Mei Chinese BBQ in the Maunakea Marketplace is still delivering huge portions of delicious, filling food for reasonabl prices. For $13 we got their roast pork and char siu plate which came with a dipping sauce, a large portion of rice, and stir-fried choy sum. It was definitely enough for 2 people for a quick lunch. The roast pork had a nicely crispy, salty skin and tender meat (both fatty and lean parts). The char siu had a not-too-sweet red glaze and the meat itself was well cooked, not too fatty (I like mostly lean for the flavor), and came drizzled with extra sauce to make it ultra juicy. The rice and veggies were perfect complements. Will definitely return!

The bbq pork and duck was so yummy here. The only thing is that it was super greasy the grease ran down the arm... Parking sucks in Chinatown but you can find a lot. This is really a real good for 13.00. You can sit inside or outside if you can find a spot.

Authentic Chinese BBQ pork (char siu), roast pork, soy sauce chicken...Delicious! The duck was sold out so we couldn't try. Reasonable prices too!
Get my char siu and roast pork from here and enjoy the slight sweetness to my char siu. My roast pork is half meat and half fat with crispy skin so onolicious.Good warmed up the next day on anything you want - noodles , rice etc. A must stop by place

I felt compelled to write a review because of how absolutely delicious the combination duck & roast pork were. I have eaten a lot of roast duck and roast pork in my life (SF, Chicago, Seattle, Vancouver, BC, London, Beijing, and Mei Mei is among the best.I ordered the combination roast duck and roast pork which comes with rice and vegetable.The duck skin was thin and crispy. The duck meat was tender and flavorful and not too bony.The roast pork was exceptionally flavorful and tender as well. The skin had a good crunch.I am looking forward to my next meal here.

Very generous amount of meat and very delicious meat. Only thing is the soup and noodles are average. But I would argue that the meat makes this entire meal worth it. It does not overpower it.
