Great food and ok service. The dim sum is fresh and hot. They no longer have the carts coming around, but being whatever you need when you order. Good value for money.Parking: Parking available in private parking lot right across the street. You have to scan a QR code and pay using your mobile phone.

We were really excited about this place but found the service to be terrible (not rude just slow and bad). The food was sub-par. There is much better dim sum in Chinatown.Egg drop soup was flavorless - tasted like water.Dietary restrictions: No one spoke enough English (fairly) to ask about allergens. Allergens were not labeled on the menu.

This mostly Chinese patron restaurant was a relatively fast wait, however, the staff barked orders to each other and their customers. The "new" menu pork chop was not available. The tea came out without cups. The custard cups were tasteless. Our spring rolls were mostly dark and the last thing to arrive.

I ordered two boxes each were to consist of four different items. According to their menu, each item was supposed to consist of three pieces. That amounts to each box containing twelve pieces. That is not what I received. One box contained only seven pieces and the other box contained only nine pieces. Additionally, I watched as a worker dropped items on the floor, pick them up and place them in the cart for sale. DO NOT GO THERE.

Mei Sum Dim Sum is one of many great places in downtown for dim sum. What I like about this place in comparison to other dim sum restaurants is the welcoming, sit down, and eat as a family vibe. I don't feel rushed when i order. Servicers are calm, collective, and caring. Most of all, I can order my hearts content without feeling forced to buy or being discouraged to not buy too much. Food is delivered fast and on a timely basis. The taste of each item that I ordered had flavor. Aromatic, sweet, salty, ginger, and garlicy flavors working together for a tasty meal. Things were jumping in Chinatown due to Chinese New Year activities throughout the day and I somehow found this place around 11 am. It was busy but I got seated right away. Requested vegetarian options and they suggested a mixed vegetable plate with some white beans (similar to garbanzos) with vermicelli - I don't think it was on their menu which was all dim sum as far as I could see. Took an unusually long time to prepare, but was worth the wait, but fortunately I had two dim sum plates with shrimp to keep me going until the vegetable plate arrived. The serving staff was attentive and congenial. Really good place.

Always decent dim sum, their chow fun is really good. Not heavy as others. Try black bean sauce.

As authentic as you can get!!!! Glad I found it. Right across streetfrom parking garage and well worth the side trip before leaving Hawaii. Food and service was great. Atmosphere, not so great due to the aging building. There is only one toilet that needs major TLC.

Visiting from Seattle we thought we’d try this place before flying out based on the reviews. What I noticed right off was how filthy the table looked. I can’t imagine what the state of the kitchen would be. The food itself is so so. We had scallop and shrimp dumplings ..tasted off from what we’re used to in Seattle. Could be a difference in flavors here vs there. Soft shell crab also was not that great .. bit into gooey flesh and lots of oil. The only good dish was the Singaporean style noodles chow meinService was quick and friendly so that’s the only 5 stars I’m giving

Food was good, but staff is very disorganized. Phoned in an order of dim sum and noodles. Said i'd pick it up in 30 min at 11:30am. I arrived and the order wasn't packed or ready. Ended up waiting 30 minutes before they had every thing ready to go. I wasn't the only one waiting for their take out order. There were 4 of us all trying to get our orders out. Another customer came in to verify a $500 order for Chinese NY. They really must have been having an off day. When we sat down to eat the dim sum. I thought it was rather bland. So disappointed. I had picked up this food for my mom in a nursing home. I do really like this place. I'll give them another shot before moving on. Hope they don't disappoint me again.
