May not be a boujee atmosphere but the food is incredible! You have to go if you love ramen or want to try authentic! 10/10 would go again (if only we didn’t live on the mainland ?)

Get the BOU BUNS!!!!! Best thing on their menu. Don't really love the rest. But a serving of the Bou Buns with their spicey musturd and hot sauce like liquid is phenomenal

I came w a party of about six and we were seated right away. It was a good spot to sit and talk and staff was very attentive to our needs. Food was awesome, so satisfying everyone at our table was silently eating and we paused and everyone commended how good the food was! Loved the space, the ramen really hit the spot and the staff was more than happy to help out when we asked for another order or when they poured more water for us. Mahalo !

This hidden gem far exceeded our expectations! Partner and I shared the ramen, bao, and gyoza. Didn’t get pictures of the ramen because we ate it up so quickly. It was delicious, 10/10.We will be back!

Friendly service. Great, delicious food! Best karaage ever! We came back the next day to order a side of the karaage after my husband had it on his donburi! Will definitely be back!

Great intimate space with absolutely amazing ramen. The gyoza are also great and a wonderful addition to the meal.

Menya Le nood, always satisfies.... Stopped in for a quick lunch on Town side and ordered the Signature Menya Tsukomen ($19.50) with Tonkotsu broth and a Large size Noodle (+$1). Great flavors, and textures of noodles (sun) , 2 thick pieces of cha sui and a perfect made Ajitama. Let the slurping begin ! Crispy Chicken Karaage (5pcs) ($7.50) was also ordered, with such a large portion, I almost didn't finish.... But success! Broke da mouth good ! If you're in town, Menya is a must .... Today's journey - Menya Le Nood. I admit, I walked past the entrance a few times before realizing it's between the smoke shop and the beauty shop. We did a 5:15 walk-in with no reservation. Easily seated our group of 4. There's a few happy hour deals we took advantage of. Ordering the ramen/tsukemen seemed complicated at first, but in hindsight, it was not too hard. Start with broth (and either Tsukemen or Ramen), toppings set, and then quantity of noodles and/or extra toppings. My meal consisted of the following: Tonkotsu Super Menya Ramen Large - 4/5. The broth was nice, and the kakuni pork was very tender with the nice layer of fat to give it a nice flavor. It was not salty at all, and the egg was perfectly cooked. The noodles were surprisingly thick for ramen. The portion was pretty good - I was quite satisfied with the ramen, gyoza, and a drink. Pan Fried Gyoza - 3.5/5. They were decent texture pan-fried gyoza and freshly prepared to order. They were decent sized and definitely better to order during Happy Hour. The only downsides was that you are not able to make your own gyoza sauce (from shoyu, vinegar, chili oil, or other ingredients), and the gyoza had a slight sesame oil taste. I personally like a 50% chili oil, 35% shoyu, 15% vinegar mixture so, sadly the gyoza were the weaker part of my meal. Mio Sparkling Sake - 4.5/5. I personally have not had a sparkling sake before, so I was pleasantly surprised to taste this. It was very smooth, and the fizzy bubbles gave it a little more body. It was actually a perfect drink to go with the tonkotsu broth. I will honestly have to see if a store carries it locally. All in all, this visit was good. I'll have to try their tsukemen next time and partake of their Karaage chicken or soft Shell shrimp. Perhaps, I'll try their goma pork broth!

A solid ramen spot. Parking is easy - right in front of the building, server was attentive, food came fast, and the price was right. Small inside with only a few tables, so plan accordingly. Happy hour specials from 5-6

***This re-review is based on a post-COVID dining experience. So you know we're back, back, back again after the 'rona and I've been eager to get back to my favorite spots within walking distance before everything locked down and everyone gained weight from eating too much peanut butter pretzels. Wait, was that just me? Anyway, I visited Menya a few times for take out and got my fix -- the taste was consistent and what I craved for my weekly fix. Somehow, something changed over the past year. You know when you see your favorite actor at the Golden Globes and it looks like it's a version of them, but just different? Yeah, that's what I'm talking about. Menya's changed something about their ramen and noodles, which gives it a different sort of kick. Here's to hoping they bring back their spice and minced garlic at the table. I know people can't be trusted not to violate condiments at the table, but there's got to be a compromise so I can garlic up my ramen. There are oddly vampiric looking people in the neighborhood and I'm counting on Menya to fire up the body-odorous defense to make sure they don't sink their teeth in.

I found this ramen shop at the last moment when I left Honolulu. I thought there was no good ramen in Honolulu, but this shop still conquered me. I think this restaurant is very good in terms of soup, noodles, and side dishes. It is the ramen I have eaten in the United States that can be compared with that in Japan. Moreover, their chili is very fragrant and very good. It is a good choice for those who like spicy food! If, I mean if, they could make the bowl flatter and wider, the soup would be wider and the noodles would taste better. The current bowl mouth is slightly narrow, which is not very friendly to the side dishes and noodles. ! The price is very good, quite suitable!

Went there when it first opened so no crowds. Service was fast, friendly and professional with a touch of Aloha. First of all I am a Charsiu person. I started with the Kakuni Bao, which has a fantastic flavor and soft texture. Nice and warm appetizer. I've had allot of Groza in my life and I must say in my opinion I liked that the filling stayed together when biting into it. Most Gyoza when bitten tend to fall apart. Crunchy grilled bottoms and soft outer wrapper. I ordered the Super Menya. Nice firm bouncy noodles and the Tonkotsu broth was very steeped in flavor complications, slices of marinated Bamboo Shoots, Green Onions and a whole Soft boiled Egg which the yoke was just soft enough to dip your noodles in but not runny. The Charsiu that was included had 3 heavy, very thick and soft pieces which was very much to my liking. I believe I have found my new favorite place to eat Ramen.Parking: If you can't get there early it's hard to find a parking space in front of the restaurant. I needed to park one street over and walk.

I've become a bit of a regular at Menya, popping in and grabbing takeout every so often. My consistent choice? The Tsukemen, a dipping ramen featuring those thick and chewy noodles that just hit the right texture sweet spot for me. The standout feature is definitely the dipping sauce--it's like a more concentrated soup. Perfect when I'm not in the mood for a full-blown bowl of soup but still want those satisfying flavors. I'd consider making Menya a more frequent haunt, but let's talk about the parking situation. It's a bit of a hassle, thanks to the constant buzz in the area. They shop isn't too big and there's usually a wait during busy hours, but they still get the food out pretty quick. Plus, the staff is friendly, which adds a nice touch to the experience. If only parking were a tad more convenient, Menya would likely find itself even more in my regular rotation.
