When this morning while having tires put on by Lex. Thank you very much. Haven't been here for almost 20 years after grabbing bfast almost weekly for my office gang for years. And you know what? I know the cooks and owners changed, but everything about my loco moco was exactly the same! Except the price of course...

Love this bbq restaurant they have great portions and the food is very decent I have ordered their breakfast special so worth it for 8$ plus they are so nice and they are so accommodating. Food is consistently good and that is what I look at when I consider doing business with anyone

Located in Kaka'ako on the corner of Queen and Cooke. I've been coming here for years. They offer local style plate lunches (mini and regular) at reasonable prices. They do have a catering menu as well. There are a limited number of tables to dine in. I'm partial to the breakfast special. It's hard to find breakfast for under $10, so occasionally on Saturday mornings I pick up breakfast from here. For $7.99 you get Spam, Portuguese sausage, link sausage, bacon, eggs and rice. For $1 more you can get fried rice. I think it's still one of the best deals in town. There's usually a line during breakfast and lunch hours so it's best to phone in your order. Also parking is limited on the street.

Prior to COVID, there used to be a selection of good breakfast places in Kakaako open quite early in the morning. I usually start work early and often pick up breakfast to take to the office. However, since the pandemic, the options have dwindled. Fortunately, New Queen's Barbeque in Kakaako still opens at 5 am on weekdays. As I approach it in the early morning darkness, it appears like an oasis in an otherwise gloomy neighborhood. They have a busy and clean kitchen, and the restaurant is brightly lit. I started coming here again to expand my breakfast options. In addition to the usual bacon & eggs and loco moco, I sometimes crave something more substantial. My favorites at New Queen's so far are their Breakfast Combo with fried rice, Loco Moco, Beef Curry and Beef Stew. I especially like their stews, local style with big chunks of tender beef, potatoes and carrots. The taste reminds me of what I grew up eating.

You gotta drop by this local plate lunch place! The mini shoyu chicken was massive. The sweet Chinese cashier got my food ready before I finished tapping my card to pay! Fast service, delicious shoyu chicken!

My husband Djs nearby and afterwards, we always order from here. Hots the spot and their service is always so good and fast. Definitely try it if you have a chance. I love their breakfast food. Only thing I want to suggest is having vegan or vegetarian options. There's some seating area inside if you like to dine in.
